The trouble is that you've never told a soul about wanting it. Who could have known? And how did it get there?

Mimosa stared at the wrapped package. It was a nice package, neatly tucked in corners of paper decorated in clearly christmas. Red, green, gold and snowflakes. Little white dots. It was even wrapped with a giant red bow. Like the kind you saw in movies.
It was literally the perfect present, and she had found it randomly in her home. It had been tucked in a nook behind the plastic tree her dad had thrown up. It had been the only one and it had been marked to Mimosa, not Noah. She had snatched it up quickly and ran out of the house, powering up to her senshi form because that's who it was for.
But now she was stuck in a park, with the present sitting on her lap and a confused look on her face. What did she do? Did she open it? What if it was a trap? It said it was to Mimosa, but then....what did that mean?
What could possibly be in this package?

Newly minted Super Chibi Sailor Anser was out and about on a patrol because that was what one did when they were gifted with a new stage. Now she was really a superhero! She had super in her name, dammit. No one could stop her now. Maybe she would even find that nasty woman who decided to turn her against her best patrol partner Cybele because that was just cruelty -- At first, Anser was stunned by the sensation of an aura that actually felt weaker than hers. It was certainly not something she was used to. She was used to all the auras feeling overwhelming on some level, whether Chaos or Order, but not this one. It felt weaker. It felt ... was that how she used to feel? No wonder people thought she was easy pickings! Well, Anser showed them who was boss. Now she was stronger! Better! Faster! Other things! Maybe she could help this other aura get stronger, better, and faster! Anser skipped over to the source, coming upon a girl who looked to be about her age, staring down at a gift box. She suddenly forgot her mission, because honestly, curiosity always came first, especially when there were no evil supervillains afoot... "Whatcha lookin' at?" chirped Anser, leaning over with her hands clasped behind her back, tilting all five feet and five inches of her height towards the girl on the bench.

Mimosa felt the aura appear and she looked over to it. She actually didn't expect a chibi senshi like herself as Cadmus had been the only one she had ever met. It was interesting to see a super version that wasn't in a more...adult body.
"Hello!" She looked at the package and then brought it over into her lap to make room for the other chibi. She was very pretty dressed, so she was curious about her sphere.
"I got this package at home....." She held it out, "And its....signed to Mimosa, not...not my civilian." She cocked her head at the other girl.
"My senshi is Mimosa.....It's nice to meet you!"

Immediately, Anser plopped herself down in the seat next to the other chibi, whether it was intended or not. It didn't necessarily stop her from leaning in and getting in the other's space, though, looking very closely at the box. Which was then brought closer to her face, so Anser put her hands on the box, pulling it right up to her face to get a look at the tag. It did say Mimosa! A present to her senshi form? Maybe someone was thanking her for being such a good hero! That made sense to her. Although it was weird it showed up at her house. No one was supposed to know about her hero form... Oh, introductions! Right! Anser hopped off the bench for a moment to pose heroically, as one did when they were a newly minted super. "I'm Anser! Chibi Super Sailor Anser, to be exact!" And then she bounced back onto the bench. "It's nice to meet you too! I don't tend to run into a lotta other chibis..." She tilted her head at the box. "So whatcha gonna do with it?"

Mimosa didn't mind the invasion of space, Anser didn't seem like she was gonna hurt her. Maybe the girl could see something she couldn't! It was just weird to get a package and have it addressed to her senshi side.
"It's nice to meet you Anser!" She nodded, "I've only met one other chibi, but he grew up! So now he's just a regular senshi....well not regular, he's eternal strength, but he's taller! Adultier!" She smiled shyly at Anser before looking back at the box.
"I think I should open it, but I'm afraid it might be a trap!" She furrowed her brow at it, "Why I brought it to the park. I don't wanna let loose something, but what if its actually a gift?" She looked over Anser.
"Do you wanna stay with me in case it is? We can fight it off together if that's the case, and you're stronger then I am!"

Anser nodded eagerly. She hadn't met a dude chibi before, but of course, it sounded like he was no longer a chibi anyway. Full grown. Could she become full grown? Would it make her more powerful? She wanted to be as powerful as Cybele, as powerful especially as her brother Encke, he was a big eternal glowing dude and it was so badass and definitely made him a more advanced superhero-- But he said to get the glowing she would have to go to her homeworld more and-- "Oh, maybe someone's thanking you for saving them! We are big superheroes after all." At that, Anser grinned, still confident in that fact despite what had happened to her over the past year and especially over the last few months. If anything, with her new upgrade, it all had only made her more determined. "Although I don't know how they'd know your house. You haven't been telling random civilians your identity, right? That's a superhero no bueno." Her brain just as quickly jumped off that topic, blurting out, "Hell yeah! I'm super curious as to what's in the box and if it's bad we can try to combo magic it to death!" That would make more sense if she knew about the great tactics she had practiced with Cybele...

"Maybe. But I don't think I told anyone. Only my uncle knows and he's a uh..." She waved her hand, "A knight. you know. One of those like Polaris knights?" Her uncle and his best friend and his uncle's last girlfriend sort of. Nadia was a senshi, she was pretty sure.
So they could've all done it, but it was weird that it was in her house.
"Okay!" The hell yeah startled her because she had never cussed before, but she thought it was okay since they were senshi and all. "Well, what's the worst that could happen?" Since they were prepared for a trap, she started to unwrap it, setting paper aside. Underneath was a pure white cardboard box with a lid, and she removed it to look inside.
Nothing popped out at all, but she pulled out two things. One a box that had Anser's name on it, and the other was a 3DS with a pokemon decal in the decoration of Lapras, and the game inside it was pokemon x, something she asked her parents for...forever. They just didn't think she needed another DS when she had one but this had her favorite pokemon on it.
She held the box out to Anser though.
"It has your name on it I think..."

A Polaris Knight? Anser had heard of knights but hadn't done very much with them. She had definitely never met a Polaris Knight before. That seemed kind of cool. Most of the knights she had heard of had only been in the Solar System before, so that meant her uncle was out of the Solar System like she was! But was every planet outside of the Solar System as scary as-- Anser was ready for the worst. Her body tensed when the other started to unwrap the gift, ready to pounce the moment something popped out of the box. She was ready. She was gonna wreck whatever mimic box nasty monster decided to become of that box. She was so ready. Teaming up with another chibi was gonna be awesome! ... Oh. No monster. Nothing came out of the box but a really cool 3DS and -- something for her? "Yeah, that's my name..." But how? "I don't think I know your uncle. I've never met a Polaris Knight? And how would he know you were gonna meet up with me anyway I've never met you?" Was this a trap? Was this the trap box? Anser took the box and hissed at it suspiciously.

She looked over at Anser and bit at her lip.
"Maybe it was from....."
She totally thought she was too old to believe it but....
"Santa?"

Santa? She was definitely too old to be believing in such things as Santa. She knew her mama just intentionally didn't wrap a gift or two and just left it out in the morning for her to play with... She shook her head at the thought of being Santa, giving the gift a closer look. No way. But this was kinda weird. Maybe Mimosa had a point... But what if it was weird because it was a trap? Mimosa's gift looked good and all but she had a gift for Anser in there and that was unlikely and strange. What was the catch? How did they know that Mimosa would meet up with Anser? Who were they? Was it a monster? Was it one of the Negaverse types that somehow had like, preternatural knowledge?! "What if this is the mimic?" asked Anser, looking at Mimosa with wide eyes.

Mimosa had all the same questions that Anser did, but she didn't vocalize it as much.
When Anser voiced her concern, the small senshi hopped off, placing her 3DS down and then looking at the other girl.
"We'll be ready! Flower Pop*" She summoned two of her magic bulbs, holding one in each hand and staring intently and Anser.
"Only one way to find out." She nodded to the other girl, encouraging her to open the present.
"I got your back." She really hoped it wasn't a trap, for Anser's sake!Seiana_ZI *Flower Pop Mimosa calls her attack name, and a Amaryllis bulb forms in her hand. She throws the bulb, up to 5 feet from her and it explodes into a thin mist like cloud of poison. The poison makes the target feel nasuea's up to 15 seconds. Uses: 2

Mimosa had her back! They were already teaming up! This would be great. "Okay!" Anser tore into the box, just in case tearing into the box would kill the mimic monster before it had a chance to attack her. Of course, there was no mimic monster. Mimosa didn't need her attack, and Anser could have probably chilled with the way she sent cardboard and shiny wrapping paper flying all over the place. It really wasn't necessary. After all, all that was in the smaller box was a few pieces of merch from an indie comic she had gotten really into. Anser made a noise of both confusion and surprise, her eyes flickering up to Mimosa and then back down to the box. How? Confused, she plucked some of the buttons out, making a few other confused noises. How? She hadn't told anyone about this? She kept the comics in her room. Hell, for the most part, the comics stayed on her laptop. That was the easiest way to read things these days. Was a bit cheaper too and she was fourteen she didn't exactly have a job-- "How?" asked Anser, aloud, voice raising at the edges out of nerves.

Yeah! Mimosa had her back! She watched as the other girl ripped into it and kept her eyes peeled for something to pop out.
When nothing did, she let her magic fade and peered curiously over to the pins and comic buttons out. It looked like it was something that Anser wanted too! How weird! What was going on??
Anser's face said it all and Mimosa rubbed her chin.
There could be no other explanation that she could think of.
"Santa!"
It had to be him, who the hell else would give both of them gifts.
"It's freaky for sure. I don't know what to do though?" Mimosa sat back down next to the other senshi, powering up her 3DS and starting a new file.
"Think maybe we should just consider it merry christmas right?"

Really? Did she really think it was Santa? There was no way. How could it possibly be Santa? Santa was a myth made up by parents who thought they were being tricky when they really weren't. He was a cool myth and all and she liked the spirit of Santa, but she didn't really think Santa was an actual thing. She hadn't thought Santa was an actual thing in like... years. But what else could explain this? "Are you sure there's no catch?" asked Anser, warily, as she inspected the buttons for any traps. She was a superhero, after all, and plenty of supervillains had made it clear they wanted her dead. Maybe if she touched this pin wrong it would give her poison or something. -- Okay, now she sounded paranoid even to herself... "I mean, the 3DS is working okay, right? What if you get to a certain point in the game and it explodes?" There had to be a catch, right?
