- Kuronue was a mid range B class demon at the time of his first death. As such, he was physically more adept than a majority of the population of that time. This includes but is not limited to strength, speed, durability, and reactivity.
Weapon Speciality: Mid Range weapons. Specifically the chain and sickle. He is also adept at aerial assaults or otherwise using his weapons while in unusual motion.
General Special talents: Kuronue was a bat demon. He is gifted with the ability of fighting without the use of his eyes if needed. His eyesight is actually quite sensitive enough that he can see most things in the dark that others miss; so sensitive that in the daylight his vision is very poor...it's below standard human level. While his healing is normally pretty good, if he ingests human or spirit-creature's (like reapers among other beings) blood regularly, it's far more accelerated. He can come back from the brink of death if he's given the sufficient amount of power-laced blood. In fact, his prefered diet consists of regular tastes of blood.
Contracts - Kuronue has another unique ability - as a bat demon he has the ability to form contracts with magically or spiritually sensitive humans. After all one of the stereotypical familiars for a 'Witch' is a bat. Which means that Kuronue can willingly sign a blood pact with someone. These blood contracts puts him in a place of "servitude" until the contract goals have been met. During the contract he can materialize if the Contractor summons him regardless of position, a power that he normally would not have, and he has a psychic connection to them. The distance that he can materialize or maintain the psychic connection depends on the depth of the contract and the strength of the Contractor. This bond allows them access to his energy levels and physical abilities if the contract goes deep enough. However, even a weak contract allows him to use their abilities during the span of the contract. He can use this to learn their techniques rapidly during a contracted time - which is how he is resistant to magic now. The contracts are made by the ingestion of blood...mutual exchange deepens the contract.
Abilities gained through contracts - Magic Resistance. Resistant to energy force fields/barriers. Soul transference. Hypnotism or Glamouring someone with eye to eye contact.

◦Warm environments - give him a tropical rainforest any day and you'll have a happy Kuronue.
◦ Magical objects intrigue him.
◦ A challenge that he believes he can reasonably win.
◦ Making contracts with young humans...those poor silly fools.
- ◦ Shirts - they are not tailored for wings most of the time.
◦ Bright lights / daylight - he has sensitive eyes...it gives him a headache and is just as likely to piss him off as anything else.
◦ Cold - his wings put out a lot of his body heat to help regulate temperatures. While his demon body helps be more resistant to the cold than a human it doesn't mean he has to like it.
◦ Cold food...he'd rather have it body temperature thank you very much.
- ◦ Once upon a time he'd have said he was afraid of nothing but as of late he's been rather cautious of sharp, pointy objects that are also hallow. Especially if they're made of wood.
◦ Bamboo - considering how he died, its understandable that Kuronue is "cautious" of bamboo. Bamboo walls make him edgy, bamboo plants will end up smashed on the ground, and if you drag him into a bamboo forest without his consent somehow...he will get mean and will try to get payback any way he can later.
- Kuronue was actually born in the year that would eventually be considered 0 AD / ACE. So technically he is older than "Jesus". He was borne out of a Witch's familiar that, after her death, gained a sentence of his own and turned himself into a demon. In his early years he spent time collecting a lot of magical artifacts and ingrediants around the human world until Spirit World finally chased him into demon world. The only thing he was able to keep was the first item he ever collected - his original Contractor's (the witch) pendant. This Pendant allows him to find spiritually sensitive humans and witches that want to make a deal; it is the physical embodiment of his own soul and the contracts that he can make.
Kuronue continued to poke around in demon world. As he did this he found that in spots where the barrier was thin between the dimensions, he could return to human world for short periods of time before Spirit World found him. During this time he contracted himself out to humans to commit the crimes that they themselves could not do. The more he did this, the stronger he got as he leeched off the humans until they died fulfilling their wish. Eventually it got harder and harder to get through the barrier unnoticed as his powers grew.
Around this time, when he was about 500 years old, he met a fox with demonic powers named Youko Kurama. The two of them started out with a tenuous friendship that eventually gained strength to the point that they were almost two halves of the same. Considering that happened within 32 years that is saying something. Unfortunately all good things had to come to an end and on one particularly difficult heist, Kuronue was captured as Youko Kurama got away.
Kuronue was stabbed with shoots of bamboo. His precious blood watered the forest and he thought he was going to die. In a way he did seeing as he transferred his soul into the pendant that he was fond of. Using the last of his energy in that way drained him. He went consciously comatose for a long time. He lost track of what year it was and what had actually happened. He assumed he would never regain actual sentience and sort of drifted. His pendant passed through demon world and eventually got into the human world. Over the years he has haunted many spiritually sensative humans and guided a few witches that amused him enough. But as none of them had made a contract with him he couldn't gain any spirit power enough to do more than be a ghostly figure.
That cycle continued on until about two years ago. His pendant was picked up by a demon that decided to impersonate him. Kuronue could do nothing but watch was the demon attacked a red haired man. It took him a while to figure it out in the sort of semi-conscious state he was in but he put together that Youko Kurama was in a human body...for whatever reason. Since then he has been anxiously waiting for a chance to get back to a body by using a contract to do so. He would only have one shot...there is one sip of his blood locked in the crystalized pendant that he's fond of an no one has figured that out yet.
...Little does he know that his actual body is still alive. The SDF has him pinned to a wall in Spirit World and are keeping his soulless corpse alive (if it could be called that) as a trophy. If his body and pendant are ever reunited and there is enough fresh blood ready to slip into his mouth, Kuronue could return to the land of the living in full.
