I've been hearing people talk about using pendulums (let me know if I spelt that right) for divination. I have to say that I'm interested in hearing more on the subject. If anyone has anything to offer on the subject I would love to hear it.

Ah, the pendulum! Not used enough, if you ask me. You need to use charts for it, and you need a level surface to rest your elbow on so you don't influence the pendulum with your elbow's attempts to stay straight.
It's fun to play with, too. Hold a pendulum's string and tell it to move in a clockwise circle. It will do so. Tell it to stop that and move in a straight line. It'll do that, too. It also helps to do that for setting up how it will answer questions.

Someone one of my friend knows works really well with pendulums. She can take a strand of the womans hair, and the males wedding band, the females if the males isn't available. Hold the makeshift pendulum over the womans stomach and be able to tell weather the baby is going to be male or female depending on the direction it spins.
I have an amythest pendulum but don't use it very often. They are very neat though and well use for answering a question asked of it.

Nice...mine is brass, very simple.
I remember my earliest use of a pendulum, though. It was a keychain on a piece of yarn when I was in elementary or middle school. I used it as a lie detector game with people. If you explain what it's supposed to do beforehand, it works every time. ^_^

First off, find the right crystal stone that you are intune with, Practice with it withg yes, no or perhaps maybe maybe with question that ask yes, no or maybe.
Than maybe you can get more creative and make your own chart with answers and etc etc etc.

So how do I know what type of stone to use. Just test a couple of different kinds at random? Or is there someway to narrow it down?

Hm.. I would pick a stone that attract me or depend on their properties, there is alot of ways to pick a crystal. Oh yeah talk about crystal. Goddess sjust posted some information about crystal in the library. You might want to take a look at it.

I've found, in choosing a pendulum, that the one suited to you is not necessarily the first one you're attracted to. A good test is place your hand under the tip and see how it reacts. Test a few, and the one that seems the most active is probably the right choice.
Also, look into a stone's properties. Aventurine works for me, as not only have I been attracted to it since I was little, but its properties tend to match my personality. 3nodding

My friend used mine to hypnotzie me, while speaking hebrew. It is a rose quartz and is my first. Does anyone know how she did it

Heh...I use mine quiet often for assorted yes or no questions...Ive got one thats a lead weight and another that is rose quarts.

i googled it it but only think i could found is studios or books. . . not many resources.
can someone who knows this topic give me information?
does pendulum should be named as *pendulum*, has a certain shape or it can be in any shape (i mean a necklace or such)?
so i have to charge it in a special way?
do i need any rituals?
any risks of using pendulums?
what can i do with pendulums?
i'd be happy if you'd answer all these . . . ^^;
