Adanna walked along through the tall golden stalks of grass as the sun began to fade downward from its perch of mid-day in the sky. The lands were a little wet from some of the recent storms, but the wamrth of the day was drying the ground rather quickly. The watering hole would be filled with fresh rainwater for a good time to come, however, only adding to the good aspects the pridelands had to offer.
Ada had been a little sore for the past few days, but had finally gotten accusomed to the feeling just when it began to fade. Her hips had felt looser, almost like they were sliding around unnaturually and had caused her to be rather lazy over the last few days. But she was easily bored and had gotten over it and, like today, gone out to wander around the lands in hopes of knowing them better.

Nukta couldn't really say he understood how Adanna felt, it was entirely the opposite for him, he'd been riding on cloud nine for some time now and OH how smug and satisfied he felt! After all the tension caused by the males they'd met in their travels here finally Nukta's heart would rest easy. Adanna had agreed to be his, and insisted that he was hers as well: a title he was just fine and all too glad to accept.
He was catching up to her now after having headed out for a try at hunting. He hadn't had any luck yet, but was somewhat eager to get back to her so he figured he'd drag her out to help instead.
She was approaching from the opposite direction, didn't look like she was coming from the den. That wasn't srprising, it was mid-day, she might've been out for a walk after waking up, or maybe looking for him when she found him gone. Maybe she actually was heading from the den, and had simply taken a more roundabout route?
"Up with the sun's peak as usual." He teased ahead with his usual smirk of amusement, tone casually affectionate.

"For your information," Ada said in her normal sharp, know-it-all tone, "I've been up for quite some time now!" She hadn't woken up too much earlier than normal-just a tad, since the few little aches she still retained bothered her slightly. Meh, like she was going to tell that to him though. She didn't change the direction of her walk as he came up to her, her white tail swishing from side to side casually.
Since he didn't seem to have caught anything she inwardly assumed he was going to invite her along hunting. >> To hell if she was going to do that! Ah, well, with any luck he wouldn't say anything about it. Excuses were not her strong point.

"I just bet." He snorted, eyes glimmering with a tease, but he was grinning, and he let up after that. His own streaked tail gave a few lazy lashes to the air, nuzzling his head against hers briefly in greeting. Pulling back away again he informed her: "Haven't tracked anything down yet. Probably all the lunch is gathered around the watering hole at this time of day. Wanna come along?"

Adanna grimaced.
"No," she told him flattly. Running was that last thing she wanted to do right now. Maybe tomorrow or the next day, but she was so close to feeling almost normal again she didn't want to ruin it just yet. It didn't seem like he could understand, though. He seemed to have been feeling peachy the last few days without a care in the world.
...But now she had to have an excuse. "I'm....not hungry," she said rather lamely. Nice save.

Nukta wasn't prepared for a curt answer like that, his confusion was evident. The sharp tone from before, the short answer just now, and then followed by an unconvincing excuse? His ears rested lightly atop of his skull.
"Ada, is something wrong? Did I do something to piss you off?"
His language could sure use a bit of work, but he was used to speaking his mind exactly as it was around her.

"No! Erm...I'm just...not...hungry..." Damn, why did he have to be so nosey? Ok, ok, so that was something she tended to like about him at times, but why did he have to be nosey now?
She nipped affectionately at his ear, hoping it would double as a distraction. After all, being a little sore was no big deal! He didn't need to know! "Um...we could do something else, maybe?" If he was hungry that wasn't going to work but...x3

Nukta was a simple guy. It didn't take a whole lot to get his mind off of one thing and onto another, at least, not when he wasn't sure of himself it didn't. He felt her teeth graze his ear and his mind slipped away a little. Well... damn!
"You sound... bothered by... something." He managed over a soft purr, eyes falling shut distractedly.

"And what," Ada asked, as she licked softly behind his ear, "would I possibly be bothered about?" If he could answer that question right, he didn't need to ask at all. The comment, however, was meant to be sarcastic. It's not like she was unhappy at the moment or anything.

"Nnnn, I don't know," He admitted, purring louder, legs going a little shakey. He had a seat on his haunches to support himself.

"Then obviously I'm fine," Ada concluded simply with a grin, moving away from him a little. It felt good to be able to make him jitter like that. x3 It was better then when he had gotten easily flustered or sulky when he was younger, after all. Besides...it gave her a warm, fuzzy feeling as well.

~Okay, what was my question again?~
A more pressing matter came to his attention when Adanna began to pull away-- hey! Instinctively he tried leaning in to keep her touch intact, but in the end she got away, the trance was broken.
"Wha?"

Well that was just too easy. It almost made Ada want to laugh and while she could control that she couldn't hide her grin. Well, it seems she knew what to do if she ever wanted to shut him up for some reason or another.
"Lets go do something else," she repeated simply, strolling off in one direction with a light, smooth swish of her tail. Mm...maybe they could go for a swim. That might feel rather nice.

"Sure," Nukta rumbled with a bit of remaining confusion, rising to his paws and falling into step slightly behind his mate. "what'dyou want to do?"
Why did he feel like he was missing something?

Well, if he felt lost it was because he was a little clueless, but then Ada wasn't going to tell him that. Though it was lightly she had informed him of his lack of observational skills on other occasions.
"How about a swim?" Ada asked with a grin as she glanced over at him.
