____5'8" (173cm)__________ 140lbs (63.5kg) In Japan, Arisa has a hard time not standing out in a crowd. She is 5 inches taller than the average Japanese woman. In fact, she stands eye to eye with most of the guys. She isn't afraid of actually looking muscular, though most of her body is lean muscle. This tautness increases the visability of her secondary sex characteristics; in fact, Arisa has difficulty shopping in most eastern countries as her bust and hip measurements make that difficult. Especially when paired with her height. While not that uncommon in Europe or the Americas, 40-30-40 (101.5, 76.2, 101.5) is a tricky fit in east asian countries. Not only that but she had naturally ginger hair - multiple tones of red and copper all throughout which look stylistically layered that way especially when she wears her hair in her normal fashion. Her hair is normally styled with four braids taking up the majority of her hair; she uses the braids closest to her face to keep the hair out of her eyes and the ones after that like insurance policies just incase. Her eyes themselves are crystal blue which can sometimes look gray if the lighting is poor. Basically she might not stick out in countries with a lot of European decent nearly as much as she does in Japan.

She can absorb energy and either use it to enhance her physical prowess. The easiest to absorb is when energy strikes her directly. The secondary easiest is when someone is flaring their energy or fueling it into objects. She can only absorb energy this way for up to 100 meters (at her best). The hardest absorption is taking from living organisms that aren't actively using their spirit energy. If she has to do this she can only do this within 10 meters and she has to concentrate, which makes excess movement difficult.
Once she's absorbed the energy she can use that to augment her own body. This could be used to increase her speed, strength, and durability up to the level of a B class demon. As of now that's her limit but with more practice or guided training, she could learn to absorb and augment her body even more.
The last thing she can do, and possibly the weakest of her techniques, is that she can use the absorbed energy to augment any allies. She does not have much practice with this so the flow can often be inconsistent. She has a hard time controlling the flow of energy as she releases it so if she's not careful she could exhaust herself quickly doing this.
The Fan of the Inferno looks like a harmless folding, metallic hand fan. When you look closer, however, you will see ghost flames looking back at you from within the metal. It can control any sort of heat which includes taking heat away from any area. The fan can also produce any type of flame as well as manipulate the flames that are produced by the fan. As the fan and the wielder get stronger together, the flames of the fan will be able to burn things that normal flames could not.
She currently has just found the fan and thus has no skill or techniques with it.
Arisa was born into a family that often had psychics born into it. They were often on Spirit World's radar. As such they've rarely been settle down in any land longer than five years at a time. This kind of life lead Arisa to gaining many different languages and doesn't regard any land as 'home' even before her unique psychic talents started to appear. Her family expected her to be able to create barriers like the rest of them - protect humans from the few demons here or there that got past the barrier and Spirit World's forces. Arisa surprised them when she did not seem to be able to learn the psychic techniques that were passed down through a myriad of generations. Instead she started absorbing the energy of humans and demons alike when she met them. The more she absorbed the stronger she got, for short periods of time.
Her parents enrolled her in as many self-defense classes as she could get into. Fortunately or unfortunately because of the fact that they kept moving around, she never got to stick with a style for long. As the years went on and she developed mentally, physically, and spiritually she eventually made her own type of fighting style. And that has left her with an independent thinking streak that has served her well. Eventually she got used to thinking and acting on her own. Which is what lead her to taking up a scholarship opportunity in Japan.
Once she was there, Arisa found herself drawn to an old shop. It had a few lesser demons running it hoping to draw in spiritually sensitive humans to eat. She'd made quick work of absorbing all of their energy and dispatching them before the latest Spirit Detectives found out that they were there. As she looked through the shop, Arisa found that most of the items weren't that impressive. Except for a fan - it radiated power to her. She took that on her way out and has kept it with her ever since so she could try to find the time to unlock it.

When she went off to battle in a mostly demon Tournament, her own mother and father had another child. This child was a girl - Genkai's younger sister. That sister eventually got married and had a kid. Then that kid grew up and got married to have Arisa. Which makes Genkai Arisa's Great Aunt. Although their relationship is a bit distant given that Arisa and her family weren't allowed to really settle down in one place for too long, Genkai and Arisa get along pretty well. Not well enough that Genkai felt that Arisa was a good disciple for her Spirit Wave but honestly, Arisa is thankful for that. She knows her Great Aunt to be a woman with unyielding drive and she probably wouldn't have been very happy training under her for any serious amount of time. In fact, she still has nightmares about the summer weeks she spent at Genkai's temple training while growing up.
