Lilacmoon padded out of the clans den site towards the forest that had started to look bare in places. She'd overheard the talk of the twolegs and that they had dried the river, but she had been out hunting that day and didn't know for sure if it was just talk or the truth.
She sighed and thought of the times of old where kittens were born healthy and lived more than a mere moment. When cats didn't go to bed with hunger gnawing at their bones. When the mountain blossomed in the prettiest of flowers. When the river ran strong and frequently left its banks during hard rain. When apprentices could frolic and play and be kittens still. She sighed even further, the past was filled with loving memories of helping the queens with their broods of kittens, but now, just like the forest, those memories were fading.
She found a nice basking rock sticking out of the ground in a little clearing. She sat and looked to the sky silently asking Sunclan for answers to her seemingly never ending questions. She was lost in thought contemplating the future for the clan.

Bloodoath, still a young tom, gently plodded through the forest. He had been out hunting all morning, nothing, he had caught nothing, but then he had remembered his luck with catching that fish and he had gone back. It had been a close call, twolegs milling around, but he had snagged himself a small fish and he was carrying it back as he spotted the she cat basking.
He contemplate his options. Lilacmoon was never one who would be overly happy to chat with him. But he figured it never hurt to stop and say hi. So he trotted over and set down his fish next to her and with a flash of his toothy smile he flicked his tail. "What a nice spot you found... I brought the food.." He laid down too close to lilacmoon, though its what the rock dictated. He sid glanced at her. "YOu dont mind if i join you right." It was definitely more a statement then a question. Bloodoath was a large tom, even with starving his body was still holdign some muscles. He pushed the fish a bit toward Lilacmoon, "Care to share? Ill let you have the first bite!"
