Name: Alexander Wiley

Nickname: Alex

Age: 15

Birthday: September 18

Sign: Virgo

Gemstone: Sapphire

Blood Type: A+

Fav. Food: Anything sour. ANYTHING.

Hated Food: Anything he considers sickly-sweet, like syrups and some candies - and honey. It really bothers him when there's a lot of honey-flavored food lying around.

School: Horizon Institute for Technology and Science

Hobbies:

Programming - Alex takes after his father and uncle in that he's good with computers and programming, and frequently works both into his free time. Unlike his family members, however, Alex's preferred way to utilize them is to create mods and hacks for every game system he possibly can. He's even hacked his family's old Wii, rendering the chances of anyone beating him at Mario Kart nigh-impossible (or so he claims.) He can spend hours working on a particular mod or cheat, getting it just the way he likes, and it quite happy to share his results with anyone who asks. (Except for his mario kart hack. He's taking that one to his grave.)

Pranks - While he tries not to do it so often that it would be considered entirely obnoxious, one of the things Alex most loves to do is set up elaborate and frankly silly pranks. They're usually harmless and lacking in any malicious intent, if sometimes embarrassing. He puts a great deal of thought and planning into these pranks, sometimes working out what to do and how to do it weeks or months before actually setting up a particular prank. But he's always working on something, and coming up with the pranks is as much a part of the hobby for him as implementing them is - and he's more than willing to draft others into the process, so long as they're willing and able. (April Fools' day is never dull with Alex around. Never.)

Music - Alex's father got his son into playing piano as a little boy, in hopes that it would help to channel his energy into something other than mischief, as well as giving him a safe outlet for his emotions and something that could relax him. It worked quite well - well enough that Alex actively goes to practice in order to clear his mind and calm his thoughts when he starts getting too anxious. He's good at it, and trained in a classical style, but doesn't have any desire to pursue it as a career - it's how he unwinds, and he refuses to let that aspect of it be taken from him. (He does, however, occasionally put on small recitals for his family.) He can also be found listening to music of varying genres, and lately has taken to trying out electric guitar - but he's in the very beginner stages of that venture, so tries to work at that when there's no-one around to hear him mangling the chords.

Virtues:

Empathetic -
One of the first words that comes to mind when thinking of Alex is 'sweet'. He's a genuinely kind person who gets along easily with others and does his best to support everyone around him. An emotional sort, he's quick to empathy and slow to anger, and this is reflected in how he treats others: with the sort of kindness and patience one might find unusual in a boy his age, a willingness to listen to and simply be there should someone he knows (and on the rare occasion, a genuinely upset stranger) need a shoulder to lean on. He's sensitive to others' emotional states and because of this is quick to do whatever he can to ease raw emotional edges.

Playful - Sometimes you just need to know how to have fun, and Alex is good at that. He's generally pretty lighthearted and enjoys playing games and pranks, and drawing others into the mayhem as well. If something sounds fun, he's in, and he has a sense of humor that he makes liberal use of. Rarely will he turn away an offer to do something fun, and he's just as quick to invite others, too. It's just fun to have fun, and there's no point in being serious and dour all the time - why bother doing that when the alternative is so much better?

Creative - As someone whose hobbies are all reather creative - or at least inventive - in nature, it comes as no surprise that Alex has a lot of creativity to offer the world. His imagination is vivid, and he puts it to use in his hobbies along with his everyday life. It's rare that he doesn't hae some idea of what he wants to do or how to do it, although actually implementing his ideas isn't usually as easy as coming up with them. Still, his deep font of creativity gives him any number of places to start, and helps to keep his life interesting!

Flaws:

Anxious - Alex frets a lot. A lot. It can generally be assumed that if he isn't actively engaged in something that's holding his attention and focus that something is worrying him. It can be anything from little concerns like worrying over his last (or next) homework assignment, to bigger things like news warnings of financial or political problems. He's actually on medication because of his high level of anxiety, but it only mitigates the effects and doesn't stop them. He's also prone to panic attacks, and while the triggers can vary the results usually end in him trying to hide from the world at best and struggling to draw in a proper breath at worst. Regardless of how severe they ten to leave him unable to function properly for some time afterwards.

Easily Discouraged - If something doesn't work out for Alex right away, he's not very good at picking himself up and continuing on. Quite the opposite, actually, as he is prone to taking failures entirely too much to heart. Setbacks aren't simply setbacks to him, but rather difficult hurdles that can easily lead him to giving up on something entirely, be it a music piece, a prank, or a particular idea for an essay. If he can't manage to get an initial idea to work, he's quite likely to stop attempting to do anything with that idea due to how crushed he can be by the initial failure. That isn't to say he can't go on, especially with enough prodding from external sources like encouraging family members or a looming deadline. But it's harder for him than it might be for someone less-affected by failure, and attempting to press on anyway can leave him emotionally exhausted.

Self-Depecrating - No-one could ever be harder on Alex than he is on himself. Every little mistake he makes, every flaw he has is over-analyzed and over-focused on. He's prone to blaming himself for anything that goes wrong and even quicker to accept blame from others. It can be a little off-putting to people with just how often and how easily he finds fault with himself - and how casually he'll bring such an attitude up in casual conversation - but the real problem comes from how it limits Alex when combined with his other flaws. After all, when you're prone to worrying about mistakes, easily set back by mistakes, and inclined to blame yourself for said mistakes, it can lead to a very negative attitude, especially about yourself. And that's far from healthy for anyone.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Large, vibrantly green eyes that draw one's attention to them.

Hair: A fluffy brown mop with a slight reddish tone that is just about jaw-length.

Face: A soft, heart-shaped face, framed by his fluffy hair.

Clothes: Alex tends to wear long-sleeves and turtlenecks when the weather allows, along with loose jeans and a plain sneakers. He also has a slightly-frayed yellow scarf that he's particularly attached to, since he's had it for a few years now. (It's something of a lucky charm for him, though he'll never admit to it.)

Senshi: Sailor Almaaz of Manatees

Challenge: "Oh the Hugh Manatee!"

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Manatee's Gift
Uses: Three times per battle
Target: A single ally within five feet of Almaaz, or self
Duration: 30 seconds
Sailor Almaaz lifts his arms over his head, then brings one down and points out a target as he says his attack name. When he does, a spectral manatee appears and circles near the target's knees, blowing bubbles upward at them. When these bubbles strike the target, the target is slightly physically revitalized, as though they've spent a moment resting and catching their breath. Once time runs out, the manatee dissipates, along with any stray bubbles that did not manage to touch the target.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Manatee's Blessing
Uses: Twice per battle
Target: A single ally within five feet of Almaaz, or self
Duration: 30 seconds
Sailor Almaaz lifts his arms over his head, then brings one down and points out a target as he says his attack name. When he does, a spectral manatee appears and circles near the target's knees, blowing bubbles upward at them and squeaking. When these bubbles strike the target, the target is somewhat physically revitalized - as though they've spent some time resting and have gotten their second wind. Once time runs out, the manatee dissipates, along with any stray bubbles that did not manage to touch the target.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Manatee's Comfort
Use: Once per battle
Target: A single ally within six feet of Almaaz.
Duration: 45 seconds
Sailor Almaaz lifts his hands over his head, then brings them down and hugs himself, and finally points his right arm out in a beckoning motion as he says his attack. This summons a spectral manatee that swims straight at its target and bumps its nose against their chest before vanishing. Upon contact, injuries incurred over the battle will undergo rapid healing, and mild injuries like cuts and bruises may even fade completely. Moderate injuries will be partially mended, while major injuries will be only slightly healed - enough to buy time for safe transport for proper treatment, but without significant recovery.
