There is no cat that has ever been more different from their twin than Cinder. While Ember is bubbly, optimistic and friendly, Cinder is the flip side to the coin- suspicious, pessimistic and realistic. Not to say that she's a particularly bad cat, she's simply well-versed in the harsh realities of the world- she's known hunger so her sister would not, fear so her sister knows only joy- she's self-sacrificial in the worst of ways. Still, she can enjoy the beauty and good in the world just as much as any other young cat- she's just not deluded that the world is purely good, or that the dark is not lying in wait to appear as soon as the light fades.

That being said, she's a hard worker and incredibly loyal to those who earn her trust- the hard part is earning her trust, but once won, there's little she won't do. She likes a life set in routine- which is difficult for a pair of young wandering loners to find, but when they're settled in one place, that's when Cinder is happiest. She responds well to a steady daily routine, and tends to panic if anything out of the ordinary comes about. She finds it difficult to rely on others- even her sister, who's especially difficult to accept has any autonomy due to her lighthearted and goofy nature- and much prefers being the breadwinner and defender of any group.... If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself, after all.

While she's a fair hunter, defense is where Cinder truly excels- she's spared her sister life's harshness wherever she could, and that included chasing off any of the more unsavory character that the pair found... Or at least, tricking her sister into running while she fought and failed. Experience is a harsh teacher- she's strong, and she knows how to fight- or keep cats busy. Everything else came secondary- due to memorization skills, Cinder does remember a little of what her mother taught the girls of herbs... Not a lot, but enough to apply cobwebs and reduce infection risks.

Everything else, however, Cinder has neglected- a fair fighter and hunter, and clever besides... Cinder has no skill as a leader, no skill as a prospective mother, and very little skill in... Anything particularly specialized, really.
