Powering up was done a good distance from where he lived, he didn't want to risk anyone finding out where he lived. The walk to the nearest mirror, hidden under a dumpster, wasn't that long - a few minuets. But when he went to get the mirror it wasn't there. For whatever reason it was missing, something he'd let others know about, but it meant he had to go a bit out of way to find the next one he knew the location of. He did wish there was some way to make an accessible map for every dark mirror senshi and that it would have every mirror, hidden, pin pointed on the map.
Either way the walk wasn't too long it was just to the park, and he didn't want to head there. He could already feel several auras in the area and he'd rather avoid them if he could. But it was the closet one and he didn't want to remain out too long - it was cold. This uniform of his, nice as it was, wasn't made for this sort of weather. He already knew he'd need to start bringing a coat with him when he went to power up, so he could pull it on once he'd powered up.
It was with that in mind, and while shivering, that he drifted back into an alleyway he was passing in order to power down. Removing the coat he'd been wearing as a civilian Xi-Wang set it down, carefully, and power back up. Pulling his civilian coat on was a bit of a hassle, wings did not make it easy, but once he had his long puffy coat on he was back off and heading for the park...and all those auras. Not a single one was from his own court - damn it.

Antares disliked winter, she hated the cold, so it was no surprise that she was bundled up in a dark sweatshirt and pants. Her uniform was most definitely not made for this cold environment. If she was still a street kid she would have already been in one of the warmer states but that wasn’t an option now, now she could actually visit her homeplanet if she wanted to get a blast of dry desert heat. That was probably one of the best things about her planet, that and the lack of people. She shifted slightly on the rooftop she was using as a lookout, chafing her hands to keep them warm even as she read the aura around her. Order. A lot of order from what she could tell. She wasn’t in the mood to deal with others politely. What she was hoping for was a fight, a youma or a negaverser to punch but apparently they even they didn’t want to be out in the cold night of fall. Except…. That…. Could it? The blonde frowned slightly at the flash of an aura powering down then back up just on the edge of her senses. Chaos but not negaverser. Could her desire for a fight be granted? Curious but leery of a possible trap, because honestly who would through their power that fast if they weren’t doing something sketchy, Antares headed towards that dark aura. She ended up ditching her rooftops for a park towards the end. This was feeling more and more like a trap of some sort since not even civilians were out wandering in this park so why would a chaotic fighter?

Cursing, in Chinese, as his uniform caught on some more bushes he had to turn around to try and remove the branches from the sheer fabric. It was once he was free from the bushes that he went back to searching for the mirror he knew was hidden in the foliage. It was close, he knew that, but where? It was well hidden, most weren't going to go poking about between bushes and such, but wit his uniform it made things difficult. He had long layers of sheer fabric that got caught on things easily and he had wings that also got snagged at times.
Speaking of such he was jerked back as a wing caught on something and he had to fight to free himself again. He really did hope no senshi, or knight, found him like this. He was sure he looked rather ridiculous and he made himself into a sitting duck. It wasn't his fault though - it was his uniform. It was just too much sheer fabric that floated about and got caught on things, though he did like his uniform a lot. It was just a lot of fabric to get used to and he'd yet to do that, it wasn't easy. He'd like to see someone else handle all the fabric and how it sort of just moved all on it's own, for seemingly no reason.
"Too many people around here..." He whispered to himself, he didn't like feeling so many order auras...he didn't feel so comfortable around them really. Whether he was good, or not, neither side seemed to care. Most just didn't like his side.

As she got closer it was easier to figure out that the ‘not negavers’ chaotic aura she was sensing was a Dark Mirror Senshi. One of the faction that was not ‘good’ nor ‘bad’ and was as much of a mixed bag as pretty much everyone else in the city. She really only knew one and he was a very poor ‘bad’ guy. Hell, he would be a poor ‘good’ guy too in all honesty. He was more like the puppy who always stuck to the corner of the rooms and looked like he was about to get kicked. Someone like that really irked Antares’ very soul. Mostly because she was torn between the urge to protect them like the scared child they were and the need to walk away like the person she was. She wasn’t some sap who collected broken stuffed animals because ‘everyone needs love’ or some such crap. She was more of the grit and the grime of life that was inevitable in this world. “For christ’s sake!” The surprisingly tame curse, for Antares at least, slipped out as she rounded a few trees and spotted her ‘quarry’ currently stuck in bushes. She wasn’t to terribly close but she definitely knew that particular little birdy. “Seriously? You seem to have a problem there Butt-wings,” She teased him as she approached the mirror senshi who was tangled up slowly. “Nice addition. Who’s birdy did you have to pluck for them?” He wasn’t a bad kid, more of a marshmallow really. He was actually the one she had been thinking of earlier, the bloody stuffed animal that she picked up once. Bah.

Startled, just a bit, he turned his dark eyes onto the blond and sighed. Ok...this he could handle. She wasn't one who was going to try and kill him, just tease him, he was ok with it being this senshi. "I can't help that I have a lot of fabric that gets caught on things." Shrugging as he finished untangling himself he held up the trails of fabric to show her. "The feathers....you could try and ask the mirror about that...I wouldn't know. It also decided on this - all of it." he said, glancing to the loads of sheer fabric he was holding up.
"I'm just trying to find the mirror hidden here...somewhere. The other one, a few blocks away, is missing." He'd let someone know later, next time he saw someone from his court...which would inevitably be later that night when he got home. Maybe he'd even text his boss and Rhona about it. Though he could just as easily place a new mirror in the place.
"I was just going to mirrorscape...and well...we need to go through a mirror...." Hence him being in a bunch of bushes when clearly, with his uniform, it wasn't the best of ideas. "If you want to help me find the mirror...I can take you - show you. I promise it's nice...though maybe not as nice as a homeworld...but we don't have those."

She honestly wasn’t one to poke fun at others uniforms since her’s was so skimpy and gold laden. It was eye catching and sparkly and she absolutely detested it. At least she didn’t sport those annoying wings like Maia… or Kiuchi for that matter. Apparently Dark Mirrored Senshi also sprouted feathers from their a** when they hit a particular level of strength. Go figure. “Hold your feathers there Alice. A few issues here,” Antares held up a few fingers and began to tick them off. “First, why in the hell would you hide a mirror in a park let alone in a bush. Second, how would you actually fit in through a smallish mirror? And third, hell no. There will be no way I’ll voluntarily step through your little looking glass.” It wasn’t that she distrusted the kid, he might have been stronger then her in magic, maybe even older than her, but he still acted like a scared child as far as she was concerned, but she didn’t trust anyone… well, almost. There was a few exceptions to the ‘no trust’ rule and he was definitely not on it. “I’m not interested in a trip down the rabbit hole or whatever you call your little hidey hole.”

"Alice....I did like the rabbit better..." He couldn't help but answer, a smile moving across his lips. "Alice wasn't bad but compared to the others she almost seemed a bit...boring." At least when compared to the behavior of some of the others, though Alice wasn't so normal either. But how do you compare that to a hatter who'd gone nuts from mercury? Or a certain cat that likes to come and go as he pleased.
"Because we have mirrors tucked away all over the city...incase we need them on the spot. It's a safe escape. We can't teleport..." Not that senshi or knights could either. But they could go to homeworlds and wonders - right? If they were trying to get away from someone...couldn't they just make a run for it and once they got a moment or two they could go there? He wasn't altogether sure how it worked...but he knew they had an escape which his side didn't. They had their own - mirrors. "We mirror walk...it's magic so that's about all that needs to be said to explain it. It's how we all explain a lot - right? Most of this all doesn't make sense." Shrugging as he laughed softly, not as nervous seemingly as he normally was. He moved to look around and found it...under his foot. It was intact but he had it now discovered.
"You are the one who wanted to know what I'm collecting energy for. it's best to show you - right? You can see the world I'm making for myself...because it's all we have. Others are making their own worlds as well." For the same reason, obviously. "
"It's mirrorspace...or the mirrorscape. I can explain it to you...to the best of my ability...and maybe show you some of what mirrorscape can do - what it gives us."

Of course he would be the rabbit! Antares mentally rolled her eyes at Kiuchi’s comment, at least he got her reference. Personally she thought the rabbit as weak and timid, she much prefered the cheshire cat who didn’t give a damn about anyone. He did what he wanted and went where he pleased. He could also disappear without a trace which would be a really handy skill. Which was suspiciously like teleporting since the mirror senshi mentioned that little habbit of the negaverse… bah.
“Why not carry one with you?” She asked as the kid bent down to pick up the smallish mirror off of the ground. She assumed they had the same restrictions as she did but that didn’t mean that they couldn’t slip a mirror into a jacket pocket and ‘change’ with it. He was wearing a winter coat after all so that meant he deliberately pulled off his civilian coat to put it on after he powered up. “Does it have to be a certain size? Or material?” Not that she thought about it could he just pass through glass that is reflecting or did it actually have to be a real mirror? What about those kid’s mirrors that were just reflective foil or something so there was no fear of breakage. Could a silvered piece of plexiglass work? Not that any of that would help her, she was limited in her trips to her home planet. Knights had it worse since they needed to meditate in order to go to their wonders, definitely not something easy to do in an ‘escape’. Out of the three of them Antares would say that Kiuchi had the better deal, even if he didn’t have his own ‘world’ as he called it.
As for actually traveling with the little fellow… nope. She didn’t trust it, or him, that far. Yes she wanted to know exactly what he was using that energy he was gathering for. There was that other DMC senshi a while back who also said stuff like using it for ‘good’. But she had no idea what she would be getting into by going with him, not that she couldn’t handle herself. Wait a damn moment, she mentally halted any thoughts about slipping through the mirror as a particularly annoying memory sufficed. One with giant mirror shards falling and a annoying race through a void, that ended with her being grounded and annoyed as hell. Was that the same place that Kiuchi went to every damn time he mirror skipped? How in the hell did he survive that every day or however often he went to the hellscape. But he said they created their own worlds so maybe the gauntlet run was someone’s twisted personal world.
“Did someone make a twisted game of Rainbow road in there and shove a bunch of powered and civilians on it to race?” Her question was maybe a bit more hostile than it should have been but she was still pretty sore over that particular nonsense. It's one thing to get powered mixed up in s**t like that but dragging civilians in was just not right, and she did see a few. Ian chuckling at her grounding didn’t help any.

Tilting his head he smiled at her, laughing softly. "Where would I carry one on me? I know I have a lot of fabric but it would be rather hard to carry something so big." He said and tapped at the mirror he held standing up. "It has to be something we can fit into....sadly. Smaller would be nicer. It has to be a mirror...again I wish it could be other things." Sadly though that wasn't the case. it was rather specific which meant they had to hide mirrors in the city....lots of mirrors. It wasn't like you could find a mirror just anywhere out in the open after all.
Setting the mirror down, back under the bushes, he settled himself on the ground and tilted his head a bit up at her. "Mmm, no. Mirrorspace has a bit of a mind of it's own....maybe a personality of some sort. We're not entirely sure...but that wasn't our fault....and I don't entirely think it was mirrorspaces fault either. We got pulled in, by force, before all of you did. We didn't even know you all got pulled in...we were busy - in space." Looking about them he sighed and reached a hand out towards the other. "It's not safe here, this story is long. Follow me to mirrorscape and I'll explain - it's a long story and contains a lot of information. Please...it's not safe to remain here talking." And risk being overheard. He didn't want many to know about this...but she was safe to tell, at least he thought so.
"Mirrorspace is safe right now - promise. Mirrorscape...well...we'll be going to my island so you'll be safe there." Shrugging a bit as he stood, hoping she'd take his hand. It would be easier.

Antares eyed the mirror and once more asked, “Why would you hide it in a bush? Wouldn’t it make more sense to find a park with a bathroom in it or storage shed or something?” It just boggled her mind that someone would hide a full blown mirror in a bush. Something that was fragile was hidden in a object that not only dealt with natural phenomenon but also human interference, like trimming and kids. They were just begging for the glass to get broken. They were basically going around in circles and even he seemed to realize it some. He even pointed out the danger of them just standing there chatting. A chaos aura and a order aura this close together was bound to get someone’s attention, if only to see if any assistance was needed. But she still didn’t trust him enough to jump down the rabbit hole as it were… however she was curious about what he used the energy he gathered for, and she was certain she could wipe the floor with his a**. So what was the danger really? That she couldn’t leave? If it came down to it Antares was fairly sure that she could just travel to her homeworld or to the moon to get out of the mirrorscape, maybe. That or force him to let her out. Make him cry uncle as it were. With a glare she warned him, “You do anything, and I mean anything, funky I will hurt you so bad that they will write about it for a Darwin award. Got it?” With that she grabbed his hand and muttered, “Don’t make me regret this.”

"We have one in such a place as well. It's nice to have options in this city it's needed, especially for our newer members." So if they got jumped they could make a quick escape. Anything it took to keep their members safe, or as safe as possible. Shaking his head he managed a bit of a smile. "We replace the mirrors we need to but most people don't go running through bushes.." Mostly in case of dog poo, and getting tripped on things, but there were hazards really. No one would notice though, this city was a rather odd one.
"Do I seem the sort to you?" He asked smiling and taking her hand. "Follow me. I'll explain once we're in mirrorspace." And he did take her with him past the mirrors surface and into the all white mirrorspace. All white and just long hallways and doors. It was what a person might think a madhouse was like - all white and never ending.
"Mirrorspace...this is mirrorspace and it seems to, as I said, have a personality of sorts. I don't know about your homeworlds but mirrorspace can go against us. When you got brought here - we didn't know. We'd been pulled in by force already. We got trapped in a room with the walls closing in on us and no way out. It's not the first time mirrorspace has acted against us...just the most recent." Letting her hand go he took a few steps forward. "But it's all we have, it's our safety in this war." If that was really safe, given what he'd just said.
"The walls suddenly shattered around us and we got pulled elsewhere....to space. We met a Queen there, in her palace, who told us she was one of the only survivors of her planet. A plague broke out on her planet some time ago. We were visitors and she would help us...host us until we could figure things out." Turning to face the super senshi he sighed, tugging at his own sleeves as he spoke. "We sat and ate with her and talked...tried to figure out where in space we were and how she brought us to her. She claimed she saw us - in a mirror and was able to save us. She always had some magic dealing with mirrors she said." The way he spoke, his tone of voice, clearly said all was not as good as it seemed. it wasn't so simple and that the story was not as positive as it seemed to be.
"We made a mistake...in trusting her."

The trip was surprisingly short, then again so was the time it took to get to her homeworld, but the stark white hall was not what Antares was expecting to see in the mirrorspace. It was almost like they were in a institution or something. White walls, white floor, white ceiling, white everything… their outfits stood out starkly in the hall, like mud on a clean floor. It reminded her of the little cell she had been briefly before it spit her out into that void and the subsequent race. Apparently Kiuchi had been dealing with his own hazard at the same time. “If it tried to kill you then why come back?” It was an asinine move as far as Antares was concerned. It was like touching a open flame, getting burned, and then doing it all over again just because. She could understand the desire for a place to call their own, but thats when you make it yourself. A place you can feel safe in, not this twisted fun house of death he called mirrorscape. As he continued his story about meeting a Queen who dealt with mirrors Antares just stared at him with her pale blue eyes. She knew where this was going. It wasn’t surprising at all. “Let me guess… she tried to kill you?” The senshi rolled her eyes at the nativity of the boy in front of her. “Just because someone gives you food and says they are nice doesn’t mean they are. What are you? Five? Your like one of those kids in the Grimm tales… and just as likely to be killed.” Many of the younger kids on the street disappeared because they trusted the wrong person. It was safer to always assume someone wanted something from you, that they always had their own interests in mind, that the world wasn’t sunshine and daisies. People are only interested in themselves. Hell, even now Antares figured Kiuchi wanted something although in his case it was likely something simple like training or some other stupid thing. She wanted an explanation on the whole energy usage and the experience to build her own reason behind the rather suspect actions of the dark mirror senshi.

"Because it's what we have...and something caused it. As I said it does things because it seems to have a personality...something was going on and we were needed, as far as I can figure. It's not the first time it's brought us in either." he doubted it would be the last either. If it needed them it called and brought them in, no questions really asked either.
"It wasn't all that. We didn't have any way off her planet. We didn't know how we'd gotten there nor have any idea where exactly in the universe we were. Everything written in the library was in a language we couldn't understand, Acubins spent enough time in there I'm surprised every book wasn't torn apart in a fit over finding nothing useful." Thinking of how much time she'd spent in there getting all kinds of worked up. She had been hoping top find information, anything, which could help them.
"We didn't trust her...not all of us and not fully. Even I did have some caution. One of ours though...she turned on us." He answered honestly. He wasn't entirely innocent but he hadn't done what the other one had, he couldn't remember her name. He did hope she was ok though. He wondered if she was even around...if she even powered up.
"She was going to turn us into her next set of guards and drain of everything we had...she was going to come for Earth next. We found in the dungeons, which weren't being guarded, her fiance held to the wall....she found us there as we set him free. We didn't get to move him with us...too much of a burden." Already moving towards the throne room he motioned her to follow him as he pushed the large doors to the room open. Inside was the large golden mirror..the only thing of color in the room.
"I don't remember what brought us to the library on our way after her...but it was a mess. She'd been there and scattered books and pages everywhere. We were for the first time able to read them...it was a diary of what happened to her planet. Something, she didn't know what, started to kill people, made them sick and killed them, it was at some point that she made a deal with a power that said it would help her - help her to save her people. She accepted it so she could do that...it used her and lied to her. It twisted her and consumed her...made her what we were dealing with." She'd had the best of intentions but she had been taken advantage of, sort of like she'd tried to take advantage of them. They hadn't fallen for it but she had.
"I think her planet started to feed on others then...on other nearby planets. I'm not sure, there was nothing said of it,not that it matters. When we got to her throne room we did confront hr and....I didn't think we'd make it. We're far fewer in number than your side or the Negaverse. We were lesser in power and only had two royals there...I thought it was all lost. We'd die and she'd come for Earth next and you would all have to face her. She knew what planet we were from...she would go for it - she said she would. " Biting down on his bottom lip he shook his head and took a deep breath. "But you'd handle her if she came...I knew that. There were more here on Earth and more power. If we failed you'd manage to take her out." But they had been lucky, so very lucky, in that they'd taken care of her.
"The palace...it was a mirage...an illusion all around us. It really was destroyed. We were living inside the memories of the palace...inside what she thought everything still was. She didn't see the truth of what was..past the illusion she, with the power of what had taken her over, had created. Around us, beyond the palace, the planet was...devastated. Maybe she'll be like all of us - reborn." But not there...there was nothing there for her. Maybe here on Earth at some point..but she wasn't a senshi so maybe not. Likely not.
"What remained of her was what had taken her over - the chaos seed." Now he held his hand out towards the blond once more. "Let me show you the mirrorscape. We only gained it after this...as a result of it."

Antares remained silent during Kiuchi’s tale, following him into a giant room that held little but a giant mirror. A bright spot of color that drew her attention even as she listened to the mirror senshi. She took it all in, the whole story about the bat s**t crazy queen and the way it all turned out to be an illusion, even the little tidbit at the beginning where he absently mentioned that the mirrorverse or what ever it was called had drawn them in before. However when the young man once more held his hand out and offered to show her the mirrorscape her blue eyes snapped back to him. “If this is not the mirrorscape then where exactly is this?” She asked skeptically, once more eyeing the huge mirror that was the dominant feature of this room. The kid hadn’t done anything suspicious but the idea of stepping through another mirror seemed sketchy to her and not something she particularly wanted to do. Especially not after his little story, or the mention of a chaos seed. Nothing good came from a chaos seed, not in her experience.

"This is mirrorspace...mirrorscape is past here." Motioning to the golden mirror. "This mirror is the only way there. Inside of a mirror and inside of another. Don't ask for it to make sense...I doubt it will." Shrugging a bit he smiled lightly. "I promise, nothing dangerous. I wouldn't try and harm you, especially here. This is home for us...I wouldn't want to ruin it in some way...plus it might upset mirrorspace." Which wouldn't be good for him if he did that, as it did seem to have some sort of a personality of it's own.
"It might also upset others in my court. It's like making a mess in a shared home..." Which he tried not to do in his civilian life with Nischal and Jason. He tried to be as neat and tidy as he could, cleaning up after himself and keeping his messes as minimal as possible. He didn't want to upset them or take advantage of them. They didn't need to let him live with them - yet they did.
"Trust me. You're safe. You'll see what energy goes to...aside from all this whiteness around us. It keeps this stable...or as stable as it can be given that it seems to have a personality."
