Fui Fui was hanging onto her mother's hand, swinging it slowly back and forth in the water, watching the beautiful woman as she talked with one of her many admirers. She'd just finished up with a show and was currently surrounded, an aspect of her mother's work that interested her to a degree though to be honest it got a little boring after a while. Mostly because it was just a bunch of adults talking. He'd much rather play with those her own age... or better yet get to go and sing with them! That had been fun! Giving a bit of a smmile she looked from side to side, trying to spot someone her own age. If there was someone then maybe she could break away from all of the adults and have some fun! If she was really lucky she'd be able to make a fun new friend like the last few people she'd met while traveling around with her mother. Here was to hoping! "If I spot someone my age can I go and play, Momma?" She asked of the woman that she was holding onto. The woman glanced down at her before giving her a smile and a nod, "Of course my little sea shell, but don't go far. I want to know where you are at all times! You know mommy worries." She gave Fui Fui's hair a gentle ruffle before turning back to those around her, chatting with them once again. So long as she stayed close? Awesome! That gave her plenty of chances to find someone that she could talk with.

Hehehe. Got away from ya again, Pu! Naia grinned impishly as she darted around the reefs of their home sea. Honestly she loved her family but her older brothers could be so stifling! Since she was too young to venture on her own in the seas she had to resort to mischievous acts like this to show her spunk. Of course she wasn't so crazy that she would go too far away from her brothers, else they'd both be feeling the burn of their mam's scorn and Naia was quite content to not deal with that.
It would be a nice time to go sunbathe, maybe?
Naia pursed her lips as she twisted around in the waters thoughtfully. Did she do this or that with her limited amount of freedom? Fingers tapped thoughtfully on her hips as she floated in place. If only there was someone else that she could play with! Of course she had her brothers but sheesh they were such party poopers. Naia you can't do this or that because it's too dangerous. That or they'd be too busy trying to show off instead of actually doing anything she wanted to do.
In the midst of her thoughts the girl found herself catching a glimpse of purple. What was that? Biting her bottom lip in interest the girl turned and in a flurry of bubbles swam towards the purple that bobbed in and out of the reefs ahead, "Oh hey there~!" She waved as she spotted another hapuna who seemed to be just looking about like her, "Are you up to somethin' interesting?" No shame held her back as she came forward with a smile, "If so can I join in?"

Fui Fui was swiming around, not too far from where her mother was located, seeking out some others around her age. There always tended to be far more adults around then those her age, which made it a bit more difficult to make sure. It also made it highly tempting to swim just a bit further away on the off chance that it gave her a fighting chance... but before she could someone suddenly rushed in her direction, kicking up a bunch of bubbles in all directions that almost obsured their approached. After a moment, as the water cleared, she found herself face to face with a really pretty girl with hair that reminded her a bit of Pello. Giving a happy smile she clapped her hands together and said in an excited tone of voice, "Wow! Actually you just made it so that I suceeded in what I was doing!" Wow! The appearance of the newcomer meant that she'd found someone her age to hang out with! And in so little time. Giving a happy sound she said, "It must be my lucky day!"

Hehe! Naia was almost giddy to find someone who seemed as excited as she was! Then again in a sea full of adults just being well...adults how could a child not get excited when meeting a potential playmate? It was so cool that she had found someone in such short time too....it was so much better than having to try and entertain herself by just swimming around.
When the other girl echoed her thoughts Naia laughed, "Same! I was escaping from some borin' errands and didn't think I'd find someone to pass time with so quickly~!" She clapped her hands together, "I'm Naia and you are?" She swam back and forth as she spoke, a mix of excitement and wariness as she kept peeking to make sure that her brother wasn't going to show up and ruin the fun. The last thing she wanted was for one of her stifling brothers to ruin her chance at making a new friend. Who wanted to be portrayed as some delicate child who needed her older brothers to watch her every movement? That was definitely not the image that the stubborn tomboy wanted, nope!

"Naia is it? That'a nice name! My name is Fui Fui, it's very nice to meet you." The purple haired girl chirped happuly, glad to see that she wasn't the only one that was looking for someone else to hang out with that wasn't an adult. It was definitely both of their lucky day, not just that of Fui Fui then. Something that made the meeting seem that much more seredipitous. Giving a smile she asked in a curious manner, "What sorts of errands are you escaping from, Naia?" She said that they were 'boring' which meant that they had to be something pretty terribe. Maybe some sort of shopping errand? Or something that involved cleaning? There were tons of things that she could think of that one would want to do their utmost to escape from, of that much she knew. Which was why she wondered what her new friend to be was escaping from.

Naia beamed at the other girl, "Thanks! Though Fui Fui is so much more fun to say." Then again it was probably better that her name wasn't something like Fui Fui since her brothers would find some way to make it obnoxious. They'd be repeating it over and over like some sort of chant or somethin'. Her brothers always ruined the wonderfully lovely things like that. She pursed her lips in a silent pout before focusing back on the other girl.
Speaking of her brothers...at the question Naia let out a sigh of exasperation, "My brother had to go do some tradin' and he's so slow about it that sometimes I find myself counting how many grains of sand are beneath my toes." She swiped a hand across her forehead dramatically as she recalled how meticulous he could be about everything and anything, "You saved me from the slow spiral of boredom. 'Specially when he sees someone cute because then I have to deal with that awkwardness too. He spent hours counting threads for netting once just to try to impress a gal." She crinkled her nose, "It's so icky."
Twisting she swam around the other girl with a grin, "But what about you? If its your lucky day I'm guessin' you had something to get away from too? If its errands too I getcha." She shook her head, "It's far more fun to find someone interestin' ta play with."

Fui Fui gave a happy sound, "Thank you." Knowing that the other girl thought her name was 'fun to say' help to elevate Fui Fui's mood that much more. Giving a little nod of her head she said, "It is a fun name, I'm definitely a fan." How could she not love her name when it was a gift from her parents? Especially given that it had such a cute meaning! "Ohh... wow, that does sound like it must be terribly boring if you had to count sand as entertainment." She said in a hushed tone of voice, wondering what sort of trade Naia's brother much be doing if it was that terribly dull. Giving a little clap of her hands Fui Fui said, "I'm glad that I was able to rescue you from such a fate." It wasn't something she'd done before so she was going to enjoy the fact that she 'saved' Naia, even if it was just from a lot of boredom and not something that was actually scary. "Me? Oh, well... it wasn't errands. I was just getting bored hanging out while my mother talked with all of her admirerers who are also all adults. It gets so boring after a while and I just want to play with someone my own age." She admitted after making sure that she wasn't close enough that her mother might be able to hear her. She didn't want to hurt her mother's feelings just because Fui Fui had been bored with the visitors.

Naia nodded, "I knoooow. They always say I just get bored easily but I dunno. I think a starfish could trek the oceans faster than my brother could finish shopping sometimes." She teased lightly with a grin, "Though maybe that's stretchin' things. Still you're definitely my hero for the day. Thank you for the save~"
"Oh." Naia shook her head, "I can understand that. Since it seems we're trying to get away from boredom we should start doin' something." She grinned playfully, "So what do you think is fun to do, Fui Fui? I'm game for almost anythin'."

Fui Fui set to giggling a bit as she described her brother being slower then a wandering starfish, "Wow! I almost want to see this now." She said, head cocked to one side in a thoughtful manner. He sounded as though he was a sight to behold for someone that had a lot of patience and time to watch him as he went about his business. "I agree! We should definitely do something." She agreed in an excited manner, wanting nothing more then to get to it, "Hmm... Oh! Oh! Some sort of game? Collecting pretty shells? Chasing after fish? I'm up for pretty much anything. Singing is also a fun way to spend time in my opinion... though I am likely a bit biased about that particular hobby."
