Aislyn was not doing well. After the stranger occurrences last night, Qith the footsteps that followed her and the police coming to her home, and her mother medicating her so she could get to sleep, she had been uneasy the past few days. Jumpy where she was normally controlled, nervous when there was nothing to be nervous about.

The petite girl had done what she always done when she felt out of control. She danced. But not like, happy shake it off dancing. Drilling, bleeding, muscles shaking from exhaustion dance. The ballerina was forced to leave by one of her instructors and go home, the studio had been closed for hours. And it was the night before Halloween. She should probably go home and get ready for her Halloween plans.

Fools. As if she had plans for Halloween. What was she, a child? She was a professional. Okay not really but she wouldn't be if she put off working for every little thing like a holiday or apparently an invisible person breaking into her house.

She slung her bag over her shoulder, and started the walk home. Her mother had wanted to pick her up and drive her home, but she had refused. She needed a break from her mother. Aislyn's mother seemed to be certain she was about to have a break of some sort, but that it was completely normal.

Which of course offended Aislyn deeply. She was not a crazy person.

She walked, her legs aching and nearly jumped when a lovely white cat jumped on top of a parked car right beside her. She was short enough, tiny really, that the cat wouldn't have seen her till he was perched right beside her head. She blinked " Geeze kitty, give me a heart attack. " She peered at the lovely creature... what a unusual... mark... at the felines forehead. Clearly he was someones pet, with his little accessories.

" Are you lost, handsome man? " She raised a hand up in the universal gesture of sniff if you want,Please don't bite me, I would really like to pet you,

Aislyn smiled slightly. There was always something so satisfying and calming about getting accepted by a new animal. She gave a gentle scritch before the lovely feline pulled back and sat down. Oh man look at his little glasses, what a cutie! Maybe she should look and see if he had a collar on, he was clearly a beloved pet, and she could give them a c-

Her brain simply... shut off. Did... Did that cat speak?

She blinked, large violet eyes at the creature.

And... and then he ( at least what she assumed was a he from the voice ) spoke again.

" Um... Yeah.. " She just kinda stared for a moment. Oh god, this was it. This was finally it. Her mind had snapped like a frail and brittle twig. She was going to have to be medicated like her mother.

Oh god oh god, it all made sense now. Last night she was hearing and seeing things. Now she was hearing things again. She put her fingers to her lips, still starring at the cat. " Bye. " She started rubbing her temples, now contemplating the ramifications of her apparently mental break, and just turned on her heel and started walking home.

For deciding her brain had snapped she was externally calm.

" Oh sweetie I am very aware of my situation. Caffeine, work, and sleep have driven me mad. I don't have time to deal with a break down right now, kitty. I have tryouts for the Destiny city ballet, I have a new colt that I need to get trained for a tournament next year.... "

The cat darted in front of her and she sort of skittered around to the side so she didn't step on him. She regained her balance and crouched down beside him, whispering, as if she were afraid someone would overhear her hallucination with a talking cat.

" I am not being difficult... you are being... being " She shook her hands in agitation " FICTIONAL. " It was the only word that she could think of.

" Cats. Dont. Talk. I have gone bananas. CooCoo. My marbles are scattered, and you are the cute fuzzy hallucination my brain concocted to cushion the blow. "

" That... Doesn't even makes sense. " He was a tiny sweet fuzzball. I mean, she was small as far as humans went, but he was still a cat. She sighed " I don't have time to argue with my own hallucinations. " She shook her head and continued walking home. Shaking her head and muttering to herself " Good lord, like, I know I always wanted a cat but vivid mental break constructs are not how I expected this to go.

Boggey-men out to eaves drop on her conversations with talking cats.

Today was weird.

She needed a nap.

When later asked about this incident, Aislyn would say she handled it with dignity. The reality was, she let out a large sound that could only be described as a Squeak. She also flailed a bit, but it died down after a few seconds. Kitty cat was now... a librarian?

" uh.... " She looked up at him with big owlish eyes. " I'm just going to say... suddenly shape shifting isn't the best way to convince me I haven't gone crazy. " But she didn't really argue.

Her brain was fighting with the fact that it was receiving tactile signals telling her that she was indeed being carried by a tall snowy haired man... with cat ears. So this felt real. Either that or her brain had just fully accepted the madness... guess she might as well roll with it?

Aislyn slow blinked at him, feeling dazed " Right... cat " She set her feet gingerly back on the ground when he lowered her, and watched with detached amazement as he turned back into a cat.

" Yeah, I don't want you hurt either " It was weird, but she actually meant it. She was pretty sure she was going bananas, but suddenly when he was no longer a tall snowy haired man she had this intense urge to PROTECT the little ball of fuzz in front of her. What people would do if they could get their hands on a talking cat.

He started talking to her, and she crouched down, folding her skirt smooth over her thighs so she was closer to eye level with the feline. " Oh, okay " She said, a little startled that he had something to give her, he didn't really have anything on him, maybe it was metaphorical. But then he did a jump and she determined she really needed to stop making assumptions.

She blinked, and carefully picked up the pen and glasses. She examined the pen curiously, but she couldn't help the tiny twitch of her lips, tugging them dangerously close to a smile when she picked up the glasses. They were actually really cute, and she folded them delicately, sliding one piece into the collar of her shirt so that her hand was free, but so they would not get damaged. She didn't NEED glasses, but for some reason she felt touched. This whole situation was bizarre but it was a very sweet gesture from a the kitty.

She examined the Henshin pen. He had said it was a tool and she was extremely curious how it was such. It didn't really look like a writing tool and it piqued her curiosity. She startled a little bit as she heard the lid of one of the dumpsters in the alley slammed shut and she made eye contact with someone down the alley. Clearly they were not truly interested in a girl trying to make friends with a stray cat. Still, it put the lavender haired girl on edge.

" I think you were right, coffee and purrs are needed for this conversation " She leaned forward, and without thinking scooped the fluffy white cat up into her arms, in a strange juxtaposition of how he had just been carrying her ( It also didn't help that he was not a tiny cat, but she was indeed a tiny girl ).

She walked past the first coffee place, bypassing a Starbucks and some other chains, to a little corner bistro who she correctly guess would not bat an eye at a small woman carrying a big fluffy cat walking into their establishment " Yeah can I get a cappuccino and... and... " She glanced at the cat she snuggled up in her arms " A... bowl of milk? " She gazed at him questioningly. WTF did space cats drink, anyway.

" Actually, make that a black coffee " The barista looked at her funny " Rough morning. " She replied to the unasked question.

The barista got their coffees ready and after a moments hesitation, put them in a little carrier so she wouldn't have to set down her furry friend. He wasn't wrong though, he was rather comforting to cuddle, and she felt herself calm as he rubbed her cheek. It was strange.

She nodded her head in thanks, hooked two fingers through the little carrier " Alright then, where to? " She looked around, and for the first time she realized how busy the sidewalks were. In reality they weren't all to crowded, and to the strangers around her she just looked like a really devoted cat owner who liked to speak to her feline, but she was very aware of just how... exposed it left Arthur. Its not exactly like he could burst out into monologue with a ton of people around.
