Fui Fui was swimming alongside her mother, holding on tightly to one of her hands, gazing up at her in a awe inspired manner. She was such a wonderful woman, one that Fui Fui wanted to be like, and meant to emulate best that she could. "Where are we going today, Mom?" She asked in a curious manner, knowing that she seemed to be a little on the distracted side. There had to be something going on and it had Fui Fui looking quite interested. Were they going to meet with someone? With a friend? With another person that was in charge of a business that her mother wanted to sing for again? There were a lot of options and that had her glancing around, eyes scanning the crowd, trying to figure things out. "Huh? Oh! Yeah, we are going to meet with someone today. It's quite exciting! I heard that members of the Moakai are going to be in the village!" The dancer Hau'oli explained in an delighted manner.

Tamah, Akamu's father, worked on setting up his shop. He is a salesman that sells meat and other good he has gathered from the deep ocean. He hummed and set up the shop, glancing around. "Akamu?" He hollered a bit. He groaned slightly, shaking his head before he went back to work. Akamu swam around, digging through the sand, pulling put shells and slipping them into her bag that her mother had made for her when she was younger. "Ooooh, this one looks pretty." She said, gently digging up a half buried conch shell. She slowly put it into her bag, hopping that it won't brake on her way back to her dad. She replaced the sand so that it wouldn't look bad.

Fui Fui had heard of the Moakai, that some of them had been spotted in the area, and that they were something fantastic because of the way that they could glow in the dark! She wasn't sure if she believed if that were the truth but there was only one way to find out, by finding a member of the Moakai and see if the rumors about them were true. As she swam along with her mother she set to glancing from side to side, "Do you see any of them yet, Mom? Mom? Do you?" She asked in an excited manner. The woman glanced around before giving a happy sound, motioning with her one hand, "There are some!" Hua'oli said happily, motioning to the man that was selling meat from the looks of it. Giving a thoughtful sound she said, "We are near to where you father lives. Do you think we should get some deep sea meat for him to prepare?" Fui Fui gave a rapid nod of her head, "Yeah, I think that we should." She agreed, about to head toward the man when she spotted someone else from the corner of her eye. Turning to look toward the girl with the odd decoration on her head she went wide eyed then said, "Momma! I want to go over there! Can I?" The moment her mother nodded 'yes' she went rushing forward toward the girl that was seemingly gathering shells, eager to make friends with her.

Tamah finished setting up his shop and sits down at the counter. He relaxed and fiddled with some small thing on the counter, wanting everything to look just right for when people come over to buy his goods. He looked up and noticed two brightly colored Hapuna, one of which was heading straight towards his daughter. Tamah was a bit worried, but relieved when he realized it was a child. Akamu looked into her bag of shells, she couldn't wait to bring these back and put them in her room. She smiled and closed her bag, patted it lightly, and turned back towards her dad. Her mouth opened to say something, slowly closing as she saw the reef fish coming right at her. Akamu blinked and waited, wanting to know what they want. Her lure twitched and she tilted her head, "Hello?"

Instantly Fui Fui was in the face of the one that was gathering shells, her light orange eyes going side, starring at her, "Oh my! Look at you! They weren't lying at all, you really do glow!" It was a bit hard to tell since it was still pretty bright out... but still, she could see it, she could tell, the girl was glowing! She wanted nothing more then to call out to her mother, to tell her all about it instantly, but it looked like her mother was already busy chatting with the merchant. No reason to tell her since she'd be able to tell by looking at the man she was buying food from. He was likely to glow too since he was also Moakai. Turning her full attention back to the girl before her, "You're so pretty!" She murmured before lifting a hand to give the girl's lure a little poke, not even considering for a moment that she shouldn't. Just like with Liloa and her barbels she was reacting in the same way with this new girl, by poking at the parts of her that were so interesting to Fui Fui.

Akamu blinked a bit and nodded, "Yep, we do really glow. No one was lying about it." She shifted and looked over the very excited girl. Akamu bit her tongue, hoping that her face wasn't flushing red. Her muscles tensed and her eyes widened, moving back after her lure got touched. She felt her face heating up a lot. Akamu grabbed onto the strap of her bag and shifted it. "S-sorry." She said and looked at her, her lure twitched and swayed.

"Wow!" Fui Fui's eyes seemed to sparkle with delight. So the Moakai really did glow! It was the most amazing thing that she'd seen for a while. It really made her want nothing more then to get to meet with even more of her people since they were so pretty. She gave a humming sound in her throat as the flustered girl apologized for... something? She swam a little closer, so they were almost nose to nose, and she said, "You have nothing to apologize for... well, unless you're apologizing for being so pretty? If so that's just silly and not something you have to do." "Ah! My name is Fui Fui, what is your name?"

Akamu tensed up and her face heated up more. Her lure tensed up, not swaying in the current of the water. "I-i.. Um.." Akamu tried to explain, her throat closing up a bit. She took a deep breath and gripped her bag, "I'm not that pretty." She said. "My name is Akamu" She said, glancing up at her a bit.

Fui Fui starred for a long, drawn out moment at the Moakai girl, before giving a bit of a giggle. It would appear as though the girl was a bit on the shy side, huh? How cute of her! She was tempted to argue with her, wanting to reassure her that she was in fact pretty... but she didn't want to scare her off. As such it felt as though it was better that she let that particular topic drop for now. "Akamu? It's very nice to meet you, Akamu! I hope that we are able to become great friends!" She chirped in a happy manner, hands clapping together in a happy manner.

Akamu relaxed a bit and looks at her. "It's nice to meet you too." She smiled slightly. "I hope we can be friends too." She chuckled and lightly patted Fui on the head. Her Lure swayed a bit as she relaxed, not being as tense any more after the "cute" Subject was dropped. She shifted and her shells clinked together in her bag.

Fui Fui gave a happy sound when the girl said that she wanted them to be friends too. That meant that there was a good chance that they would be able to be friends! Something that had her clapping her hands in a happy manner before she gave a squeak, glancing at Akamu as the girl gave her a pat on the head. It was a show of affection that had Fui Fui smiling in a delighted manner. At the clinking sound from the girl's pack she found herself looking at it, head cocking to one side, before she asked in a curious manner, "Whatca up to, Akamu? Something fun?"

Akamu chuckled a bit and smiled, amused by her squeak. Akamu glanced at her bag, then towards her dad. She looked back and shifted so her dad wouldn't be able to see if he glanced over but not to much so Fui could still see the bag. She opened it a bit and showed Fui fui her bag of sea shells. "There are a lot more pretty colored shells up here instead of the deep." She said and smiled, shifting some of the shells.

Leaning over Fui Fui took in the sea shells that the girl had piled up in her bag before she gave a smile, "Wow, you found a lot of really pretty ones, didn't you? What do you plan to do with them? Gonna break them up and make jewelry? Or keep them as they are?" She asked curiously of the girl that the shells belonged to. She found herself glancing around for a moment before looking back again, "Are you planning on finding more? Or is your bag too full already?"

"With the smaller ones I might make them into jewlery but with the big ones Like the Conch I wanna put them on display in my room." She said and a happy manner, she lightly dug through the shells once again. Akamu looked and thought for a moment. "I could fit some more in the bag." She said. "Wanna help me find some?" She asked her.

"Ohhh! Conch shells are so neat! Did you know that if you carry them up to the surface and listen to them that they sound like the ocean? And I don't mean that you just hear the ocean around you as you tread at the surface but the shell itself sounds like water is moving around in it! It's so neat!" She chirped happily, finding the strange power of the conch shells to be quite interesting in her mind. Giving a rapid nod of her head, "I'd love to help you find shells. I should tell my mother first though, just so she knows that I might leave her sight while we are looking for shells. Can we do that first?"
