Akoya didn't know why she got them self and their friend into this mess. I just had to go open my mouth and call the other students story a lie. It obviously was just a tall tale told for attention from everyone in class or something they had imagined. There was nothing haunting the grounds of the cemetery other than their overactive imaginations getting the better of them. I made one off comment and the rest of the kids in the class jumped on me daring me to go into the cemetery myself and prove them wrong.
Looking through the gates of the cemetery it didn't look too frightening to them, however that could be because it was still somewhat bright out with the sun just starting to come down over the horizon. The brilliant orange light of the sunset was hitting the faces of the many tombstones that lined the rolling hills of the cemetery gardens, but soon the sun would set down over the tree lining making it seem much later than what it was if they didn't hurry.
"Come on, get a move on it already or just take back what you said earlier!" Akoya almost forgot about the group of kids pushing them and Nastara closer towards the cemetery grounds. Akoya looked towards their friend who had tagged along with them for the dare despite it not having too and gave them a reassuring smile. There was nothing to worry about right? Those kids were just lying and they were
not going to say that they were wrong when clearly the other kids were just making up stories.
"Don't get your pants in a twist we're going." Akoya huffed as they pushed the cemetery gates open and took the first step in.
