Silva was lounging on the window ledge, one long leg hanging over the edge, one arm propped under his head. His eyes were closed, almost. As if he were about to fall asleep at any moment.
He would have been asleep already if it weren't for that damn crap that Soho called music blaring loudly in the background. Soho was dancing on the hope chest to the song she loved best. "Ruby Ruby Ruby Soohooo!!"
"Turn that s**t down, Soho!" Silva called.
"But I love this song!!" She shouted back.

With the volume being what it was, it was no surprise that Galatea managed to approach the window without alerting the others. Uncertain, she stood on the sill for a moment, clutching a lumpy parcel to her chest. She could see Mr. Silva inside but no one else. She chewed on her lip and wondered if she shouldn't have sent a note ahead of time, warning them of her visit.
Another moment went by and she shook her head. One hand unclamped from her package to push her bangs more firmly to one side and then she tapped little knuckles against the glass. She was already there. There was no point in wasting the trip.

Silva opened one golden eye, smirking slightly. The window was open, of course, but this little one would need an invitation. "C'mon in, darlin'. We don't bite. Just make you deaf."
"What was that?" Soho shouted, flicking over to the stereo to turn it down. "Oh! Galatea!! HIII!" She said.

"Hello." Smiling shyly, Galatea obediently ducked under the window and stepped over onto the other side of the sill. "Thank you," she added. "I'm sorry I came unannounced. I'm not interrupting, am I?"

"Darlin' for getting that music turned down I'd kiss you if my old lady wouldn't kill me for it." He replied lazily, not moving from where he lay. He hadn't gotten much sleep thanks to Soho's whining all night. She wasn't much of a hunter, it seemed.
Ironic that she had so much energy now.
"Did something happen?" Soho asked. "Does Mister Silva Demon need to beat someone up for you?" She asked, sensing some sort of story... somewhere.

"Oh. Oh, no." Galatea actually blinked owlishly at Soho, obviously baffled by the question and offer. Gingerly, she set her parcel on the floor beside her and the straightened. Her hands folded demurely in front of her. "No, thank you," she explained mildly. "I can protect myself adequately. I am strong enough. I wouldn't want to bother Mr. Silva. No, I..."
She hesitated suddenly and offered another shy, lopsided smile. "I wanted to visit and say hello," she added. "And to thank you again for the help you gave me with my house designs."

Silva blinked, chewing on his toothpick for a moment. "We didn't do anything, darlin'. Nothin' to thank us for."
"Mmmm... oh! That's right! You were building a house! Did it come out good?" Soho asked. "Oh, do you want some candy? Ice gave me an entire bag of skittles the other day!"
Nick and Nack were hiding in the corner behind the plush toy couch. They hadn't had many good experiences with female feien.

Galatea shook her head. "No, thank you." Then she paused and blinked. "What are Skittles?"

"They're yummy!" Soho explained as she raced off and came back with two of them. They filled her arms. "And chewy!" She said, holding one out to the other female juvenile.
Silva snorted and let his eyes drift closer to closed again.

The blood feien stared at the brightly colored candy for a moment before politely taking it from Soho. "Thank you very much, Soho," she answered solemnly. "I'm sure I will enjoy it." She paused and then, as if her brain had put forward a previously unanswered question, she brightened again. "And my house is finished, yes. Hadrian helped me, too. I need to thank him as well."
Crouching, she set down the Skittle on the floor and rested her hands on her bent knees. "I would like to invite you both over some day. Mr. Aleric as well. It is quite large enough for all of us."

"Oooh! A party! I'd love to go!" Soho said happily. "We can have drinks and music and stories and dancing and--"
"Darlin, nobody dances the way we do." Silva interrupted. "But we can go."
"They don't?" Soho asked blankly.
"Nope. At least not dancing."

Galatea cocked her head to one side and studied Silva with curious interest. "I have never danced before," she announced. "How do you dance?"

"Well there's a lot of bouncing and kicking and--" Soho stopped. "Nick! Nack! Come show her! You two do it a lot better than we do!"
"You do, darlin." Silva said.
"You're only good against Aleric." Soho replied. "Nick and Nack are too short to fight right."
The two animal boys peeked out from behind the couch, hesitating still. Silva frowned at their hesitation. "Get your asses out here, boys and give the ladies a show." He growled.
"Ah--um--"
"Right, boss!" Nick said, vaulting over the couch.

There was a tiny gasp of surprise from Galatea and she abruptly toppled back onto her rear end, losing balance at the sudden appearance of two non-feien creatures. Her cheeks immediately flamed scarlet at her lack of grace and she scrambled up to her feet and bowed to everyone. "I'm sorry," she murmured quickly. "I was startled. I did not mean it as an insult. Forgive me?" Straightening, she fixed wide pink eyes on Nick and Nack. "Sirs?"

Nick looked at Nack, Nack looked at Nick. And as a pair they grinned at her. "Not a problem!" Nick said cheerfully. This one didn't smell like death and pain. Blood, yes, but faint and not nearly as much as Silva.
"I'm Nack, he's Nick. It's a pleasure to meet you." Nack said with a courtly bow. Which Nick ruined by shoving him from behind. Nack caught himself and turned on his "Brother." "You jerk, you did that on purpose!"
"Quit with the talk! Get to work." Silva muttered, finally getting to his feet.
"Sure thing, Boss!" Nick called as he slipped into his fighting stance. The "Dancing" as they called it was a wildly bouncy sparring session. Flips and kicks, blocks and punches all moved so quickly and well planned that it appeared they were actually doing an intricate dance.
