Nevada had set the apartment up with all sorts of spooky decorations. The girl was normally but holidays were a time for celebrating and she loved the idea of having her apartment a little reminder of said holiday.
Cobwebs hung in the corners of her living rooms, fairy lights all over and small decorated black and orange and green fauna. Her living room looking like a haunted garden or something close as she could with target decorations. On her small table was a bowl of candy, popcorn and drinks.
Of course this all led up to the best part of the whole living room, her cute best friend, snuggled in a blanket with comfy socks and cider and MOVIES. Movie dates with Stormy were honestly the best because Nevada could snuggle in and not feel guilty for taking her friend out on the town. It just wasn't their jam.
"Okay. Whats your level of scary before I put something on?" Nevada produced the remote to play netflix, cycling through the shows and movies. "You want OG Supernatural, AHS....Or the new show?"

After a long streak of having absolutely shitty luck, it was nice to be able to kick back and relax with her best friend. Granted, Stormy wasn't a horror movie fan, or a spooky anything fan for that matter, but it was all in good fun. And maybe it wouldn't be so bad with Nevada there to be a handy body to clutch at while screaming.
"Ummm..." She wriggled until the blankets were tighter around her, now a cocooned face with hands sticking out, holding a warm cup of cider. "American Horror Story sounds too spoopy...What's the new show?"
She kindly avoided Supernatural, as it reminded her too much of her ex.

If anyone told her there was something more adorable then a small girl cocooned in blankets with just a face and apple cider, Nevada would point them to Stormy and then tell them to get out of her apartment.
"Okay okay. Well the new one is...." Er....did she tell her best friend that she read people had fainted from the scariness of the show? Maybe she'd just omit that and see how the first episode was and stuff.
"The Haunting of the Hill house. Let's try an episode!" The girl moved over to sit next to her best friend and clicked play on the show. There was a audible tv pop and the picture went from netflix to straight white nose and static screen.
"What the heck?" Nevada narrowed her eyes, turning the tv off and then back on, just for it to be the same. "Um, This tv is not that old."

Stormy immediately felt anxious as the tv acted up. It could have been part of the episode, right? Like a meta moment between creator and audience. But the static didn’t go away. “Maybe log off and sign back in?” she suggested, trying not to be a weenie before the show even started. “Or the Internet’s being weird?” Though a glance at her phone said the WiFi was fine at the moment. Something was definitely up, though, because she swore she heard something beneath the white noise.

"I'll try boo." Nevada did just that, logging in and then logging out and then logging in again but still it was static. "Let me check the wifi box?"
She moved away from the TV, staring at the box that was lit up with all green lights and making a huh sound.
"Did you say something?" She looked back over at Stormy, swearing up and down there was some kind of voice coming from the general area. "Sorry I couldn't hear you."
Help Me.
"Ha ha Stormy, I'm right here."
