 Pigeonpaw stretched in the apprentices' den, chopping her teeth against each other. Her stomach began to rumble, and the apprentice gave out a small groan. When was the last time that Skysong brought her out on a hunting lesson? It was a day or so, but the apprentice felt very rusty. Then again, they just started training not so long ago.
Looking around the den, the apprentice spotted Robinpaw, another apprentice. Who were her siblings again? Riverpaw, Honeypaw, Leafpaw? She had a feeling that someone else was missing in her list of names, but she could ask about that later. "Hey Robinpaw," she called out. "Duskwing have anything planned for you today, or are you just going to be hanging around the camp?"
She really hoped it was the second choice.

 Robinpaw had been grooming herself near the apprentices den. Usually she was off and about with Duskwing, her mentor, learning how to tree-walk, or she enticing her closest friend, Riverpaw, to go on a worthwhile adventure with her. As it was now, not even her siblings, Leafpaw and Honeypaw, were around for her to hang around.
So, naturally, when Pigeonpaw approached her, she perked up with a smile.
"Oh, hiya Pigeonpaw!" She mewed, running a paw over her ear and getting to her paws. "No, Duskwing's let me off the hook today, as far as I can tell." She flicked her ears and smiled. "Why, do you have something in mind for me?" She questioned, her eyes alert and eager.xKOVAKtheWOLFx Riverpaw isn't related to them, actually!

Pigeonpaw purred as Robinpaw said that there wasn't training today. Meaning the two of them could have some fun! "Eclispepaw and Graypaw are out hunting, and you're really the only other apprentice that I usually see, so do you want to practice training with me? Or we can find somewhere in the camp to play!"
The apprentice thumped her tail on the ground, eagerly awaiting her clanmate's response.

Robinpaw grinned at Pigeonpaw's enthusiasm and flicked an ear as she suggested playing in the camp, or training. She nodded and replied.
"Let's practice training together! If we see any birds nearby, I can show you all the cool tricks that Duskwing taught me about them!" She mewed, excitement in her odd eyes. "You see, birds and cats are actually really similar, especially birds and warriors!" She mewed. "Who's your mentor again, Pigeonpaw?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "What sort of things have they been teaching you?"

She was excited to hear that Robinpaw would be down to show her all that Duskwing showed her. Was Duskwing the bird-crazy warrior? She forgot, but the way that Robinpaw spoke of her, that sounded quite accurate.
"Skysong mainly showed me the territory and helped me work on my stamina. I'm still really bad at hunting, but that's why she's helping me train by having me run from place to place. To build up how far I can go. She said it's a good idea."
She flashed a grin. "I think I am better at our battle training."
With this, Pigeonpaw lead the two out into the camp. Maybe there would be a bird there.

Robinpaw nodded when she heard that Skysong was the mentor of her fellow apprentice. That was pretty cool! Robinpaw liked Duskwing more, but she wouldn't say that. It wouldn't be polite, probably.
"Stamina is cool. I bet you got to see everywhere int he territory, huh? What's your favorite thing?" She asked as they headed off. "Well, I can definitely help you with hunting. Maybe you'll be better in the trees than on the ground, like I am. I'll show you all about it, okay? It's really cool. Do you wanna know what Duskwing calls it?" She asked as they left the camp, her eyes gleaming with excitement for being able to tell her friend all about tree-walking.xKOVAKtheWOLFx Sorry for such a long wait! Her ears perked when Robinpaw offered to help with her hunting. And to learn a move that Duskwing excels in! "I would love to!" she purred. "While we're out, we can practice our training with each other too!"
Pigeonpaw was so used to Skysong leading the way throughout the territory, and that other cats would too, protect the apprentice. But today, she would be able to practice and protect Robinpaw if something were to happen! And that Robinpaw was going to teach her something too.
As they entered the woods, Pigeonpaw looked up. It looked high. Those trees. "How high are we going exactly?"
