Welcome to The Community Chest Guild Charity! I'm Flink.Pamingo, for those of you who don't know me. I'm the mod who tends to talk in third person and get off topic, a lot. But I'm going to stay on topic for once, yay!
One day I thought that since a few guilds I've seen have had a charity, The Community Chest should be a copy-cat have one also because this is a polling guild. Which probably means most of you are trying to make gold for some quest. About Donating to the Charity: Like all Charities we're not only giving out donations but are taking in donations to help fund the charity. While the Mods are donating to and polling with the mule account, it probably won't make enough with just that to fund all of your wants, so it's a pretty good idea to donate when you can to help keep this charity running. (Send donations to Ze Pewter Dawg. It's the Guild's account and therefore the best place to put what will in a sense be the Guild's gold.) Rules: - You MUST be active in the guild. - You must have at least 20 posts in the guild itself. - You must have at least 65 posts total in Gaia. - You must have made some progress in your quest, at least 25% so we know you're serious about it. (This rule is subject to change. As are all the others.)Application: What you're questing for: (The item that you're questing for. This is rather self explanatory.) Quest Thread: (If they have one.) Current Progress: (How much gold out of how much needed? Such as 23k/100k. Or something like that.) Quest Backstory: (Why are you questing for this item? It's mostly because we're nosey, so no worries.)Start donating and applying for help on your quest today! Donators: Flink.Pamingo Deciare MrTerrabottuti Sky-sama SpritelessGirl YesterDaysNews [Try Again]
If you have donated and are not on this list, please tell Flink.Pamingo in PM.

Announcements: I will be listing who donated what in the future. If you do not want your donation listed, please say so in the subject of your donation in the future.
For those who have already donated, please PM me whether or not you want to be added to the list. You have a week to tell me whether or not you want to be on. If you don't, I will assume you want to be on the list of donators and will put you on it.
Announcement Two:
Flink will be offering avatar edits for all donations between 200g and 300g, these will be automatic and you may PM Flink a reference picture and the base on which you want Flink to draw. For donations from 301g to 999g, Flink will offer avatar art. This will also be automatic and WILL be drawn of the avatar Flink sees you as in the donation.
Sky-sama will be offering avatar art to those who donate 1000g and up. This will be automatic, so please, if you donate 1k or over, Sky will make you art eventually. But her art is very complex and takes some time. So please be patient. She will have a waiting list. Spriteless

That reminds me... I ought to buy a whip.
Inspiration comes at the most unexpected times, from the strangest sources! Are you not questing for anything now? Perhaps you will be within the next 5 minutes. Do you know a friend who is mere hundreds of gold short of completing a quest, but about to have the rug yanked out from under them by the dread phenomenon known only as inflation? If you don't, perhaps you'll make one within the next 5 minutes.
No one can say when a bit of extra gold will suddenly become quintessential. No one can say when a donation approval will be the best news you've heard all year.
Help yourself. Help a friend. Help a random stranger who may one day return to pay you back with interest.
At least claim you've donated to the charity, so other people feel more open about giving it a shot as well. xd
Welcome, grand viziers and faceless peasants alike, to the Charity! *a cape unfolds out of nowhere and starts billowing as Deciare strikes a pose*

Wouldn't it be easier if we donated to the guild itself? Or does that go to the wrong person?

JazzieWolf Wouldn't it be easier if we donated to the guild itself? Or does that go to the wrong person? Donating to the guild puts the gold in the guild account, which is used only for system-related tasks like creating subforums. Neither the Captain nor the crew have direct access to the gold stored in the guild account.

I hate to be such a retard, but the regular sized font was killing me... I don't know why, it was just making me really nervous for some reason, and I felt the need to change it to small...yeah, sorry about that D;

xLEILA - error. I hate to be such a retard, but the regular sized font was killing me... I don't know why, it was just making me really nervous for some reason, and I felt the need to change it to small...yeah, sorry about that D; The small size font is hard for me to read. The regular sized font is made to look proper on average-sized computer displays even for people with slight visual impairments (like me without glasses). The small font you use for your posts is okay for short blurbs, but for something longer like the charity's introductory post, it causes very heavy eye strain. Let's not let our personal tastes get in the way and just go with the default font size.
