All in all, this Month of Halloween had been going… alright. Nix hadn’t come upon too many weird things ( yet, he reminded himself). He thought the worry was getting to him, since he wasn’t sleeping well. So much so that when he decided to go out on the town powered up, he brought with him a big cup of hot tea. To keep things warm, and to keep alert. He didn’t have anyone in particular to train with today, and still hadn’t come up with any “patrol routes” for himself. The plan was to do his powered exercises for a while. Maybe get tired enough for a proper night’s sleep. Of course, he really hadn’t gone far before deciding “Meh,” and sitting down on the edge of a downtown rooftop to watch the city below. His tea, which was in a sealed container, he popped out of the nowhere space senshis could store things, took the top off, and sipped. It wasn’t the first time he’d done this recently, so he had no expectation of anything to actually happen…but you never knew.

Wardite prowled. That's what they called moving quietly through the shadows in search of something to kill, maim, or otherwise inflict harm upon. Wardite had always been good at prowling. Even before his transformation, he'd been a natural predator, seeking easy marks and either twisting their perceptions or just outright taking what he wanted. Tonight was a good night for prowling. He felt the order signature and grinned, his teeth worrying his bottom lip as he thought of how fun it would be to vent some frustrations out on whatever poor sod just so happened to cross his path tonight. He could teleport now - but that was draining - and he wanted to savor the fight without being too worn down by jumping through space and time. So instead he made his way toward the the signature in a bounding charge, his strong legs eating the ground in loping strides as he picked up speed. Before he reached the building he bounded up, using his momentum to drive him up the last few feet of the wall to the roof, pushing off with his arms to land a few feet away from the target with a look of absolute malicious glee. "Oi, don't you know it's not safe to be sitting around at night, all alone," he said with his heavy Irish accent, no longer kept in check out of civility. "There be monsters afoot."

Nix didn’t look right away. He’d felt the signature, and thought, maybe they won’t bother me. If he’d been a bit more clear-headed, he might have been pretty upset at having a thought like that. As it was, he really just felt somewhat more upset upon thinking that, without really knowing why. As the agent came up, he sipped his tea again, and said flatly, “Ugh, really?” He sighed heavily and turned slowly. “I don’t want to pl—” he caught sight of his antagonist then, and his jaw dropped briefly. “What the…?” The idea of a half-youma was something he’d read about, but not seen. He jumped up to his feet, still at the edge of the building (his cup of tea left perched there), and assumed a defensive stance. “You know,” he managed to say then, having recovered from his surprise. “I have heard it’s a bit dangerous. Maybe there’s something to the talk of horny men staggering around, after all.”

It was a derisive snort that came from the half-youma, as he rolled his shoulders as he watched the other male. His eyes roamed over the other's frame, sizing him up and determining what the threat level might be. He'd gone up against senshi before - and he knew their magic could be pretty nasty. He'd been stung more than once - and he had no desire to follow that up with anything worse. Still... "You really should stick to keeping your gob shut," Wardite said, stomping a foot and letting it slide across the roof top. "You could get by, by being cute - but opening your mouth ruins it." Then with no further preamble, he charged the other male, head lowered, the sharp points of his horns angled toward his target as he charged the length of the rooftop in a long stride ground eating sprint.

Nix responded to being called cute--and not cute--by giving his best cheery smile...Which was only slightly damaged by how sleepy he felt. Of course, it was also more than a little sarcastic, because there was a fight to be had. He waited a fraction of a second more, then dove to the side (away from the building ledge), roughly perpendicular to the...charging bull's motion. "Olé!" he declared as he just barely evaded those rather painful looking horns. "Wasn't expecting a bullfight tonight! I think," he grinned again, this time with a bit of anticipation, "this might be exactly what I needed!" Torvil oops, thought I'd replied already. ;.;

Wardite's feet carried him a few extra steps when there was no impact, it was hard for him to slow his momentum when he got going, and turning was difficult, as his new frame seemed adamant about linear speed as opposed to rotational, but he made do, by kicking off a bit of roof ledge that was nearby to help arrest his motion and make a quick turn. He still skid a bit when his feet touched back down, but his mostly managed to make it look intentional as he kept his body low and ready to pounce. "Always glad to be of service," He grunted, before once more moving toward the other male, but not in the ground eating strides of before. He zigged and zagged, keeping low to the ground as he tried to close the distance between them in as little time as possible. Teleporting was an option - but one he wanted to save for an emergency at this point - since it was like a sucker punch to his energy levels.

Nix's eyes followed his opponent's movements as he shifted his own position carefully. They were getting inexorably closer to one another. The negaverser...or furry or whatever almost certainly thought he had the advantage in close. And, if Nix was being honest, he probably did. But the frog boy had every intention of making Horns over there very much doubt it. So, in closer they came. Closer...then, Nix made a hopefully thoroughly unexpected move, and lurched forward while sticking out his tongue. An odd action, to be sure, but there was little time for anyone to contemplate it, as a much larger ethereal tongue appeared, and made like a Lickitung. The big, wet-feeling thing starting low, and brushing inexorably up, trying to push against as much of the Agent as possible. As quickly as the tongue appeared, it was gone again. Quote: Nix mimes the action of using his tongue, creating a large ethereal frog tongue. This tongue can either shoot a straight line 15 feet away striking with the force of a hard punch which can leave a bruise if the target player desires, or take the form of a large licking tongue which can make contact with something not more than 2 feet away. In both cases, Nix may choose to have the tongue be either sticky or poisonous. If it is sticky, the strength of his tongue is such that whatever he grabs, the smaller of the two objects (Nix and his target) will get pulled as his tongue retracts. If it is poisonous and hits an organic target they will suffer the effects of rapid poisoning (which can include dizziness, fatigue, nausea and vomiting) for thirty seconds.
As soon as the tongue is retracted, it disappears. The tongue may be used three more times. (Tongue mode: Poison Lick)

Wardite had experienced a few senshi attacks - most of them painful. The sensation of being licked across the majority of his body by a large - amphibian - tongue was NOT what he had been expecting. That was... new. Weird. He manged another step when the dizziness hit. By the second step his entire body ached with fatigue as his stomach started to roil dangerously. He let out a low, angry growl, and demanded his body do the nifty new magical trick it did to regenerate the damage. Everything got MUCH, MUCH worse. He fell to his knees and started to vomit body shaking as he forced his body to stop regenerating and cycling the poison through his system. Oh when he was able to get up again, he was going to do horrible, horrible things to that little frog boy... horrible, terrible things. Tolin Kalin Magic: Regenerate - Wardite is able to convert the energy he’s consumed to heal his wounds. For 30 seconds – all minor and moderate wounds knit and heal just as quickly as they are created, leaving behind pale scars. Injuries incurred during this time period don’t phase him and anything but severe or life threatening injuries will heal during the 30 second time frame. Any injuries sustained beforehand begin to heal faster - sealing closed or getting to the point where they will not cause him further pain - but they do not heal completely and can easily reopen if he’s not careful. Any severe or life threatening injuries incurred while he is using his magic will heal just enough that it would allow him to escape and get medical assistance. He can use this twice a fight - but if he exhausts his reserves, he becomes starved for energy and might attack anyone to feed his hunger. (Cuts, burns, and sprains heal but deep lacerations and breaks will not heal more than just enough to keep him alive for the immediate future.) - Long Story short - he's trying to heal but since it's poison, that means getting it out so YAY he just made it worse.

Nix had a general idea of what his Super power did...it could be sticky or nasty. And he'd not actually had cause to use it on a non-youma before this moment. He blinked at the staggering of his foe, and took a step back when he collapsed. Nix's eyebrows rose, and he momentarily forgot his strong desire to have a good fight. The Negaverse was bad. They did bad things. They killed people, and possibly worse. But still. Seeing that he could make somebody collapse and barf up their dinner like that was most unsettling. He didn't think it was quite that strong, but...wow. In fact, he was startled enough by it that he was still standing there, watching, when the effects of his tongue wore off. A golden opportunity was missed, he realized, to just run away Scot free. Being a cruel person and kicking the agent or something didn't even occur to him.

Wardite had never been a fan of vomiting, but it was an unfortunate side effect of a few of the vices he'd favored when he was younger - so he'd gotten used to it in some small degree. But, in general, if he could avoid it - well - he would. In this case, it was unavoidable for a good half minute and change as his body worked to process the toxin that magically dissipated from his form. He still felt woozy and light headed, but it wasn't from the poison, it was from the violent and consistent effort of his body to purge itself of something that hadn't even been there in the first place. He looked up, eyes blurry as he finally was able to track onto the rough outline of his target. "I... am... going... to kill you," He declared to the frog senshi. "Very, very, slowly." He started to wobble to his feet, with an angry growl, eyes flashing with rage and intent to kill.

Nix stuck out his tongue, with a bit of a threatening grin on his face. Normally an odd combination, but with Nix... well. "Only if you can catch me, bucko!" he declared, "And, of course, don't accidently barf all over yourself!" He almost felt bad for mocking somebody for doing that. But...he didn't start the fight, he figured, so it was okay. All the same...being in line with a charging bull didn't sound like a good idea, so as the man wobbled back to his feet, he leaped backward, ready to make a dash.

The stuck out tongue almost made him teleport - but he held the thought until he was sure the damn spectral tongue was going to lash toward him again. Wardite did not like the way he felt right then as the poison worked its way fully out of his system - but he'd been in worse condition and had managed to do alright. He started to move toward the other male - not in a charge - but in the slow, steady gait of a killer who knew he could catch up with his foe if he really wanted. The thought of moving any faster than that right now set his head to throbbing - and the headache that was threatening behind his eyes was any indicator, he was going to be feeling this encounter well into the next day. Which is why he'd feel even a little bit mollified if he could just pin this little shithead down and murder him in a vividly violent and gory fashion.

It wasn’t a charge! That was good…Nix didn’t bring one of those bullfight capes, after all. Stop thinking about this so flippantly, he admonished himself. This guy definitely wants to murder me now. He knew full well these negaverse agents could beat him into the ground, if given even the slightest opportunity… Still, he kept a confident (if slightly tired) look on his face and backed up some more. He knew he had the advantage here, it was just a matter of exploiting it. The trouble, of course, was how one defined “winning,” since he wasn’t about to kill somebody, and running away just let the guy do what he wanted in the area. No, winning was to keep the murderous bull as distracted as possible for as long as possible. He couldn’t collect energy or starseeds, then. His next course of action was, therefore, pretty easy to arrive at. He pulled back, letting the bull man do his steady, predatory walk toward him…but he kept about the same distance. Nix had enough practice with building hopping that he barely had to think about his jump when he arrived at the edge—he just leaped across, and grinned over the gap at the bull, the tip of his tongue poking out just a little. Torvil I'm back to posting~ sorry about that pause there!

Wardite wanted to tear the tongue out of this little punks mouth and feed it to him. More grisly and gruesome thoughts also came to mind, but they would have to be meted out slowly lest he desanguinate his prey too quickly and it die on the rooftop. Provided of course he could catch the prey - which was having far too easy a time keeping distance. He didn't dare risk another charge - he didn't know the total number of attacks this kid had - but one was enough, and getting slapped by another tongue was.... Not on the top of his list. But, Wardite was not a patient young man, and his half-youmification had not made him any more so - if anything - it had removed some of the patience he had had. By the third building he'd decided to gear up a charge, and as the other male landed on the far building he sprinted toward the foe, glowering death as his long strides ate up rooftop as he charged and leapt, his powerful legs propelling him through the air like a catapult to try and land right on top of the senshi and bring him down...

When Nix looked back after another leap, he saw that the ram-man had sped up, and was already in the air behind him. The boy’s face briefly showed his shock at that, then he recovered, and took a step back. It was time to do something different, he decided, and knowing that jumping doesn’t work like video games—his foe wasn’t gonna be able to adjust much while in the air—he waited, tongue poking between his lips. He planned to nail the negaverser with his tongue as soon as they landed…of course, there was the very real possibility he’d miss, since the magic didn’t lock on and follow his target or anything. But it was a risk he was willing to take. Torvil Knew I forgot something...was reviewing my RP lists, and OOPS.
