Another special event prompt is now available! And now, something strange is going on...

Event Prompt 2 of ??? Every person who happens to have received one of the unaddressed pumpkin baubles begins to feel oddly strange. You find yourself growing more irritable and restless. You’re finding it difficult to sleep and when you do manage to sleep, your dreams are plagued with nightmares. The weird symptoms don’t fade when you power up - you’re just as irritable, if not even more, when you roam the streets as your alter ego. What's gotten into you all of a sudden?

For the past two nights Genevieve had been having issues sleeping. She continued to toss and turn, unable to find sleep, and when she finally did fall asleep it was never for that long. She couldn’t place her finger on just why this problem was occurring but it was, and that was an issue, she was thus becoming a bit short with people and less of her usual self.

She’s already shouted at someone over the phone, and some poor retail employee at a store she was hoping to get some shoes at. Instead she’d thrown the shoes and stormed out of the store, leaving the worker rather upset and likely baffled at what had just happened.

She hadn’t called Jada and had been avoiding Christa as much as she could, she just didn’t know why she was snapping so easily to last two days...aside from the obvious lack of sleep. There was no reason for the lack of sleep though, it wasn’t like she was prone to nightmares and she’d been having them - a lot. She just didn’t remember them when she woke up.

Now earlier tonight, because she was heading home, she had taken to beating a youma to death. It wasn’t that she wasn’t a senshi, and hadn’t been powered up at the time, but it was that she normally didn’t fight youma on her own when they were rather large. Her own magic had helped in slowing it down and she had taken to using whatever objects the alley they’d been in had offered her, as well as her own shoes. She had dusted it but only after beating it rather soundly. It wasn’t something she would do, none of it was, and she could only place the blame on her lack of sleep. There was no other reason to it but there was nor reason her sleep should be so poor, it wasn’t normal.

Crossing the street, not really caring that the light wasn’t in her favor, she shouted at a car who decided to go and nearly hit her. Never mind she didn’t have the light, and they did, she wanted to get home and try and sleep! She’d run about, powered up, hoping to tire herself out enough to sleep a full night. She just needed to get to her bed now - like really now.

Making it across the street she continued on, hands in her pockets again, as she made her way closer to her home. She could only hope Christa wasn’t around, wasn’t awake, and wouldn't try and talk to her. She had a short temper, she knew it, and didn’t want to take it out on the other. She also didn’t want to talk at all, she wanted to head right for bed and crash once she’d changed into proper bed clothing. The only interruption, the only thing, she was willing to tolerate were her cats joining her in bed. She would forever accept that...they were innocent pets she had taken in because they had no home...no family. They got away with a lot, even now.

It was when she finally reached her block that she broke out into a run towards the gates and let herself in. The walk up the driveway to the front doors was made quick work of, as was everything else which led up to hr climbing into her bed and bundling up. “Sleep...finally.” At least she hoped, she needed it.
