Drinking a growth potion didn't seem like such a big deal to Ecco. Especially if it meant that she could be as big as Di'o. They'd grown up and left her behind. They were taking different classes and meeting bigger people. Soon they wouldn't have any time at all for her and she'd be lost. The two of them were a great pair. Why did they have to grow up?
Ecco had found out about the growth potions from a junior when she'd gone to visit Di'o in their new room. Someone had been talking to their friend about taking one because they wanted to be a senior already. But it should work for a freshling too. . .right? It had taken more than a couple talks with that junior in particular, but she was able to get them to give her a potion too. She'd tried talking to a caretaker about it but they'd all told her that she should just wait.
But she couldn't wait! She didn't have time for that! Di'o was going to grow up again and leave her behind just like they'd already left her behind. She had to catch up! Now that everyone had gone to bed, she could take the potion. She'd hidden it under her pillow before school. They'd know something was wrong if she was just suddenly big during class. So she'd take it and then sleep and then she'd wake up big in the morning. That was how it worked anyway right?
Uncorking the bottle nearly defeated her. She spent forever trying to pull the cork out, and then by the time she got it out, she nearly spilled the potion out with the force of her yank. Dropping the cork, she put the bottle to her lips, guzzling the cool, blue liquid down. It tasted like really strong vitamins and was nearly as thick as her form.
The moment the last drop was down her throat she could feel the potion working. Already she could feel her body stretching and getting bigger. In no time she'd be as big as Di'o and could go to class with them!! Excited, she stuffed the bottle under her mattress and climbed into it. Between her roiling stomach and the aches of being stretched out, she didn't fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning and even then her sleep was mostly her tossing and turning.
