Ecco Ecco dubiously observed the kumiho that was sleeping in her spot. Through the mass of red tangled hair it had taken her a few moments to actually figure out that it was a kumiho. The numerous tails had given her a hint, once she’d determined them from the hair. Rocking back and forth a few times, she debated poking the other freshling to wake them up so she could sit there. Di’o would be by soon and she had to be waiting there for him! But the kumiho looked so tired. . .maybe she should sit somewhere else? But it was her spot! Ashe Ashe, sprawled in an untidy heap on one of the couches, dozed. Vaguely he was aware that someone else was in the room, but they hadn’t bothered him. It was a nice change. Most of the time the moment another nightmare came in they had to jump right on top of him to wake him up. Dimly he realized that the other freshling was hovering over him. If she hadn’t been blocking the light from shining in his eyes, he wouldn’t have realized it for much longer. But the lack of light was nice and he snuggled more into the couch with a content noise. Ecco Standing over the little kumiho wasn’t having the effect that Ecco was hoping it would have. He’d started to move, but then rolled over and made some sort of noise. Shuffling about in place some more, she finally reached out to gently touch him. “H-hey. . .this is my spot?” she tentatively said as she rocked his shoulder. Doing it again since he hadn’t really moved the first time. Was he really that asleep? Yanking her hand back as he rolled over to face her, she took an involuntary step back from the look on his face. Ok maybe she definitely should have just found a different spot. Ashe The hope that Ashe had begun to have that this new freshling would leave him alone to rest in peace was dashed as they reached out and touched him. He’d JUST gotten to the point where he was comfortable and relaxed and ready to sleep until Elijah came! Now this… this… this weirdo was telling him that he was in their spot? No way.
It was an effort to shift all his hair out of the way, but Ashe did it so he could sit up and swing around to face the pink girl. Seeing her step back at the look on his face made him smile. ”I’m sleeping here, so it’s my spot. It might have been your spot some other time but I’m sleeping here now! So go away!!” Ecco “B-but… “ Ecco sniffled a bit, taking another step back. “How is Di’o s’pose to know where I am if I’m not in my spot?” It was a legitimate question. That was the only chair comfy enough to sit in for long enough for them to get there and the only one she could easily get to the table from. If she couldn’t sit there, then she’d have to sit somewhere where Di’o might have to look for her! Gathering a bit of courage, she took one step forward. “S-so you should scoot over… so we can sit t-together??” Ashe “No.” Ashe gave the slime? He was pretty sure it was a slime. He gave her the dirtiest look he could muster. Just because she wanted to sit here did not mean that he had to move. “I’m trying to nap while I wait for my friend to come here. This is the comfiest spot and there isn’t enough room for both of us when I’m laying down. So you find somewhere else to sit!” Huffing, Ashe laid right back down. Closing his eyes, he told himself he wasn’t gonna move. Not even a little bit. So much for his hopes that he’d finally get to nap in peace with someone aside from Elijah. Hpmh! Ecco Swallowing back the tears that dampened her eyes, Ecco took a deep breath. She wasn’t gonna cry cuz he wouldn’t let her sit there. No. She refused. Rubbing her knuckles against her eyes, she took a deep breath and then another couple steps forward. “I-it shouldn’t be that hard to share! I-I don’t take up that much room.” Then she put her hands on top of the couch and bounced herself up. Ignoring the noise that the kumiho made she scooted herself into the corner trying to make herself as small as possible. “S-see . . .this isn’t so bad. . .is it?” Ashe Ashe’s hopes that the slime would wander off now that he’d told her what for were dashed when she instead hopped up onto the couch beside him. “Ouch!” he yelped. She was sitting on his hair. Angrily, he jerked it away and smoothed it down. Since she wasn’t going to to away, he resigned himself to glaring at her from the other side of the couch. He even sat up for it.
Arms crossed Ashe wedged himself into the couch. At least they weren’t touching anymore. Her leg had felt all weird and squishy against his hair. Ashe ran his hand through his hair a couple times just to make sure there wasn’t anything in it. He could have sworn there was. “Hpmh!” Ecco What had Di’o done when someone had said ouch to them? After a few seconds of delay, she murmured a small “sorry.” She hadn’t meant to hurt him. Though, she wasn’t sure what she’d done… wait, he had jerked his hair out from under her. It was long enough that she hadn’t realized it. Uncomfortable now, she fidgeted in her seat. His glare wasn’t helping any. Man she wished Di’o was here. They’d know what to do. “I’m. . .I’m also waiting for my friend. Their name is Di’o. . . .they’re blind.” Ecco hoped that by explaining why she had to be in THIS spot, the kumiho wouldn’t be so angry with her. “I sit here so they can find me again. . .” Ashe It took a few moments for that information to register with Ashe. What did being blind have to do with her sitting there. It wasn’t like she was the blind one. But as Ecco explained, Ashe thought he understood a bit. But then. . .
“If they’re blind. . how do they find anything?” It was a good question. Why would they let a blind kid just wander around? Did they??? Slightly more curious than upset, Ashe muffled a yawn and grabbed his pillow off the floor to hold onto while they waited. Ecco explained a tiny bit, not that she knew much. It was enough to make him not so angry though and before long both their friends had shown up to hang out.
