It had been some time since that night 4 Generals and a General King had stood before a wall of Senshi and Knights and watched them turn on each other. Stibnite hadn't believed what she watched then and still didn't believe it as she stood on the rooftop of downtown Destiny City looking out towards the night skye.

There had always been -something- off about how they worked but that...THAT...had been an embarrassment even for her to watch.

What had stayed with her though was the woman that seemed to have known their General King. The woman he had come to speak with.

The blackbird woman had stayed an image in her mind. Corvus if she remembered correctly. Since then she had been hoping to run into her again but fate had not been kind. Not that she blamed the woman. After all, half the people there seemed mad at her...

The events of that evening had lingered with Corvus as well. Her powered schedule was kept to rotating patrols, finding herself passed between concerned individuals and 'checking in' to make sure someone knew where she was at all times. Well, no... Corvus couldn't truthfully say that she was checking in at all times, but she had made more of an effort to do so most of the time at the request of Arsinoe after the chastising she'd received.

When she wasn't touching base with him it was Arachne, who'd not been present that evening, but who had certainly heard about the event... Or it was Celsus, often it was Celsus.

Corvus paused in the alley to gather her hair, pinning it up off of her neck with the rosette that generally served as a basic decoration in her hair. For one reason or another there'd been a brief rush of warmth through the city; a last glimpse of weather trying to show them what they were leaving behind as they made the final transition from Summer to Fall. Halloween was right around the bend; a dangerous time of year. Not all 'costumed freaks' would belong to one side or another. Different dangers lurked around every corner, just as they always did come this time of year.

Drawing in a deep breath, Corvus scooped up her Senshi phone, sending through a message to Mag Mell's signet ring requesting that he pass word to her fiance that she was fine and would message him more urgently should anything unusual happen. Tucking her phone down the front of her corset, Corvus let her senses wander, feeling the night for whatever might be lingering around.

A General in the distance-- not far. Close enough to investigate?

She pondered drawing her phone out again, shaking her head slowly as she climbed the fire escape of the nearby building in order to take the rooftops in that direction. She paused a block or two away to give the General a chance to adjust to her presence-- to leave or to prepare for an introduction.

It took a moment to registered with the General when the other aura flashed to life. White Moon. Headed in her direction. Simple thought process. They sensed her and were coming to put a stop to whatever 'wrong doing' she was up too. Same old story.

So when it stopped a short distance away, Stibnite had to hold her face still at the surprise. For one she wasn't doing anything but standing there. For two, they weren't trying to start something. "You are either a talker or looking to be able to say I struck first." The General offered, slowly turning around to look at the senshi that had appeared.

Red eyes began to flutter as she took in the woman. "Well, if it isn't the illusive Blackbird." A half smirk drew across her face as she lifted her arms to cross over her chest. "I did not expect to see you out...alone."

"There's nothing illusive about me if you know where to look." Corvus spoke the truth as she glanced up from where she had decided to draw her senshi phone back out, logging her location and sending it through to her Mauvian. She and the Mau had come to an agreement that if she crossed paths with anyone ranked higher than Captain she would send her location and if she didn't check back within five minutes the cavalry would get a call -- ten minutes and a secondary alert would go out. Corvus had let Eta know that she was more than welcome to spend that five minutes traveling to the location herself, but it was important to Corvus in some situations that she be granted time.

"Corvus, actually. If you're going to tell stories about me, and this meeting, as I've no doubt there have been stories told about our last... My name is Corvus." The senshi dropped the hand holding on to her phone, extending the other to the General as though introducing herself to someone who worked at an opposing sports team instead of an enemy soldier. "And you're the General who suggested withdrawing from the field. I'm afraid I didn't catch your name, but I appreciated your attempt to keep things from escalating."

Should she address that the General had commented on the fact that she was alone? Probably. She could tell her that she wasn't alone, that backup was always just a call or signal away, but she did not want to risk that coming off as a threat when she knew Negaverse agents could multiply and teleport faster. Besides, the other woman had to have seen her phone by now. Corvus refused to insult her intelligence by assuming she had no idea that the senshi were able to communicate with one another just because they couldn't instantly arrive at one another's sides.

"Stibnite." She offered, but ignored the hand only to give the senshi a nod. "General Stibnite. And you are correct. The tension that evening was thick enough that things could have escalated quickly and would have had others not seemed to ...intervene." Her words were chose careful as she dare not access them flat out yet of a complete break down of power structure. At least not out right.

"It was truly just math. We were outnumbered and could have easily been taken by surprise before something was done to...even the playing field. I dare not see anyone put into a fool's battle. However, " Her eyes were following the woman's phone and she had to smile. "I do have a feeling it disappointed some. Even I was rather saddened not to have a chance to clip a few wings."

Stibnite didn't have to guess. Corvus had sent a call out to someone and that meant she would need to keep her senses sharp. As her back straightened, she quickly glanced to their sides before slowly crossing the roof she stood on. "So how long do I have before help arrives?" the words had a playful amusement to them before she lifted her hands as she had done before to show she had no weapon drawn.

"Corvus, I have no intention of harming you today so please do not make me do so. You are a woman I wanted to see again since that night because out of all of those standing there, you appeared to have the most level head on your shoulder."

"So, if you don't mind. I have a question for you." As a secondary sign of the honesty of her statement, Stibnite reached up and pulled back her hood letting her hair fall free and her facial features become clear. "Is there truly no concept of a unified force in the White Moon?"

"Five minutes until I have to send another message to the Mauvian that's waiting for me to return home." Corvus lifted her phone slowly, tilting it so that the General could see the basic message screen while it was still in her hand. Using her thumb she swiped another message.

[To Eta: False alarm. If you're coming to meet me come alone. I mean it.]

She pressed 'send' with the General watching, waiting for the message to pop up as 'delivered' on the other end before tucking it back into her bodice. It was a risk, but Corvus liked to believe that she knew when one was worth taking-- even if Arsinoe disagreed.

"I appreciate your kind words, General - Stibnite. That night was trying, and those who know me well enough know that it was not easy to remain level headed." Her eyes lifted to peer at the other woman as she removed her hood. She knew the amount of trust that came along with an action such as that. Thisbe, a member of her team, wore a hood connected to the corset of her fuku. It never came off if she thought there was a chance she might need to attack. She respected that and finally offered the other woman an understanding smile.

"The concept exists... For some of us, at least. Those of us who have been fighting for a very long time." Her smile was brief, the topic seeming to make the Senshi of Vengeance suddenly very weary beyond her years. "We form teams, we break up, we come together when the need is great... But there is no one banner that unites us all. We were told to learn to work together or prepare to die. I've survived for almost nine years now through a mix of working together and fighting alone. The hardest battles are the ones against yourself."

"Well then I guess I will have to make this either quick or expect to deal with an angry feline." Stibnite offered, a smile on her face as she tried to see if she remembered an order cat from that evening. The only one coming to mind was the chatting one with General Benionite so she wasted no more time trying to consider it.

"Fight together or prepare to die." She parroted the words as a brow rose over her eye. "That seems like a threat more than leadership of any kind. If someone told me that, I think I would stand up, give them the bird, then try and overthrow them." Because a*****e.

"Anyway, so then...I'm going to pry. If you do not unite under one banner, how did your kind invade us in such a....mass? I was on that battle field and though people seemed to clearly ignore your so called Prince and Princess, you all still seemed to strike us hard. I commend you for that but it does make me wonder if there are not leaders of some kind around you."

"It felt like a thread and I believe with all of my hear that it's why so many of us rejected the idea of it." It had to be a mix between rebellion and glory with a dash of stubbornness and arrogance. Hell, there were no doubt a dozen things blended in to the smoothie of what made Order absolute chaos, but knowing the roots of the early senshi at least made for a start.

Corvus drew in a deep breath at the General's question, releasing it slowly as she pondered that night and the events that had lead up to it. "We ignored them because they did not speak for us, nor did they lead us." Her own focus had been distracted then, torn between her determination to keep Denebola safe and the desire to keep Celsus from doing something foolish. She recalled Castor and Gaymede bickering, but that had been before, not after... What had happened on the other side of the portal?

"A door was opened and we were given access to pass through it. I am sure that there are those who would like to say that it was a well planned, well orchestrated attack... But that's not the way I remember it." The Senshi of Vengeance lifted her shoulders in a shrug, the feathered collar resting on them rising and falling with the motion. "We came together because there was need for us to do so, not because we were being lead. It was more... Like the gate being lifted on a dam."

Her words were probably not what the other woman wanted to hear but she spoke true, following them with a light laugh. "There is no one leader who can command us all, but there have been leaders that some of us have followed. We do not trust each other and there is no chain of command that says we must do so... As I am certain you saw the other night."

"Very clearly." Stibnite responded, listening with interested intent. What had started as a questioning of their upper management had gotten her one other item that caused her great concern.

"A door was opened?" Stibnite focused on those words and felt her own body grow slightly stiff. She didn't know a single agent that could open such a door. Their only means in and out was through their teleportation or being literally pulled there by a summons of some sort. That meant that things had either come from a higher power or...

She shook the thought away.

"Forgive me. A great many questions have now come to mind and I doubt the answers will be so freely found." She wasn't an idiot. Corvus wasn't an idiot. If they had found a way into Negaspace once, what was to stop them from doing it again? The very concept was unsettling. This past time they had done damage but in truth, it had done very little to cripple them as some might try to present. More like a set back.

"Apologies Corvus. I feel as if I have done all the questioning. Anything you would like in return?"

"One day, perhaps, we'll be able to trade information more freely with one another. Sometimes I don't think our goals are all that different -- we want our home to be safe. We want those we love looked after and protected." They had to have some sort of common ground, didn't they?

"I've no questions for you, but there is something that I would appreciate you doing, if you wouldn't mind. Would you... Carry my regrets to General King Zinkenite that our meeting went as it did. Five years is a long time to go with no contact and I'm... Relieved to know that he's still alive. Tell him that?" Her brow lofted as she stepped back to signal her readiness to leave things on a high note between them.

"It was a pleasure to meet you one on one, General Stibnite. May your days be pleasant until we meet again."
