Prompt
While out and about, you manage to obtain a cute cooking pot designed to look like a witch's cauldron. It's a little eccentric but wanting to get in the spirit of things, you or a loved one obtain it and food is prepared in it, be it for a personal or social gathering.
Only... anything made in this pot tastes startling of candy corn. Regardless of whether you finish your homemade treat, you find that no matter what you eat or drink, everything for the next twenty-four hours tastes exactly like candy corn. The strange thing is, this only seems to happen once. After you've given it a good scrub, it doesn't seem to have the same effect ever again.

Kapoodles
One start for you!
Roddy was sure to love the festive air the house had taken on since the seasons started to change. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas were all in a row and well underway. Halloween last year was full of frightening things that Julian was ill-prepared for. Not this year! This year he was stronger than ever and more determined to see the holiday through without incident. He had taken to decorating the house to the brim with scary spooks and colorful candies to mark the season, with a wreath of autumn finery on the door.
Signs like Witch Way to the Candy? and Skeleton Parking Only dotted the yard and fake spider web was wrapped around the railing on the front porch. A witch's silhouette hung in one of the windows.
What would make this better?
Why, a cauldron to cook in, of course!
Julian had spied the cauldron in the holiday section of the local kitchenware store while on the lookout for more pie tins. No, it wasn't a need, but it was so cute, and what would be better than making pumpkin soup in a cauldron, it's SO COOL. With coupon in hand, Julian proudly returned to the Bolasco Manor to start work on his from-scratch pumpkin soup. Staccato sat loyally by his legs to keep him company and totally not fishing for scraps, no sir.
