Tonight hadn't been any different, it was surprisingly warm compared to some of the more recent nights though, but that just made the route home a bit more bearable. Now if only he didn't have to walk...
Suddenly though, he heard something. His ears perked and swiveled as he tried to find out where it was coming from. He thought he heard... footsteps? He looked around to see if there was someone near him but so far he hadn't seen anything...

It was way past Kaileens curfew. Her father and brothers were probably worried about her. It was pitch black. She still has a while before she reached home. To make it worse her phone was dead. So if her father or anybody was trying to get in contact with her they wouldn't be able to. The stores and streets usually were lot with lights. But for some reason none. She just wanted to go home and to bed. She stopped walking and look3d around. She thought she heard foot steps. She shooked her head. Of course other people were probably walking home or somewhere. She was not the only one. She needed to stop being paraoned. ((116))

Bernard could still hear the footsteps, and so his ears were continually turning this way and that way, trying to get a position of where the footsteps might be. No matter the direction that he tried though, it seemed as though the footsteps were coming from nowhere, but also from every direction at once. He had also turned around a few times to try to see where they may have been coming from, or if it was some Negaverse agent that he couldn't detect, but there was nothing.
As he continued to walk down the street, fur puffed and tail up, he walked backwards towards the corner of the street, trying to make sure that nothing would come from behind. Of course, it could still come from behind, but at least he would be able to tell if it had come from the direction that he had previously been in.
He was just about to round the corner and didn't realize that someone else was there...

Kaileen stopped walking to quickly think over her choices. She could walk fast and start running. But she saw hirrie movies where the girl usually falls and then the killer gets her. Or the killer seems to be really really good with running. Like the Flash. She started walking again and listened. The foot steps were making a little tap tap movie. They seemed to be mpided made with tiny feet. They only thing Kaileen could think of was a doll. She did watch a while Chucky marathon. "I am not afraid of anything." She tried to tell herself that. She wasn't going to let this get to get. She had only a few more blocks before she reached home.

Bernard had just rounded the corner, intent on "running" as fast as he could back to him home but unfortunately for the Guardian Cat, he ran into someone else!
Or perhaps a better way to put it, someone ran into him! And stepped right on one of his little paws after he had turned around to try to "sprint" back to his home. He hadn't been expecting it, he had literally just turned, when the stop-paw happened. He let out a loud "MROOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!" As his paw was pushed down unnaturally.
At least he sounded somewhat like a cat when it came to making hurt noises, otherwise he might be mistaken for some sort of horrible creature!xdeathxbyxlovex Oh my gosh I am so sorry for taking so long to reply!

Kaileen didn't know what the footsteps were or who they could be. She sucked in a breath. Now was not the time to get scared. She usually took the pepper spray her father brought her around with her. But today she didn't bring it she forgot it at home. "Who is there? I know karate and is not afraid." The little pita patter of the feet got her st get some strength in her. If it was a doll she was taller and could just kick them. She never did understand that horror movie with the doll. I mean why not just kick it or something? She was not even looking where she was going and stepped on something. A loud meow made her looked down. "Oh my god. I am so sorry little kitty." She picked Bernard up and started to cuddle him. She took his paw and layed kisses on it. "I'm sorry Bernard. Why are u out here all by yourself?"

Soon enough the foot was off of his paw and he felt himself being picked up and a familiar voice speaking to him. It was Kaileen! He purred a bit, though he was still feeling a bit sore in his paw. "Kaileen. I haven't seen you in a while." At least it was someone familiar to him, but he kept his ears oepn in case he heard those footsteps again. "I had been out for my nightly stroll and was just going back to my home when I heard footsteps. I'm not sure if they were yours though, but anyway I felt as though something was following me, which meant I wasn't looking where I was going and well, here we are." He didn't blame Kaileen. Both of them had clearly not been paying attention.
He took a serious look at her. "But, if I may ask, what brings you out here Kaileen? Isn't it a bit late for teenagers to be out when it's so dark?" He said, a bit worried, momentarily forgetting that the young lady could become a senshi.

Still holding and cuddling Bernard Kaileen took his paw in her hand and tried to massage it. "Oh I hope your not in any had pain." The thought of the kitty in any kind of pain made her want to cry. "Nightly stroll. Well I can understand that. Just be careful when you are out this late. It word hurt me if anything bad were to happen to you." Kaileen wondered how far Bernard had to go before he reached his home. Did he live with someone? A senshi perhaps? Well Kaileen might have to have a little talk with that person about incidents like this. They need to take better care of Bernard. She knew Bernard was an Gurdian cat and could take of his self but her mind couldn't fathom that all she sees is a little cute kitty. "I was out patoling. When I lost track of time. I had not want to go home for a when cause my siblings are annoying. I am past my curfew and my father is probably worried. I was on my way home."

Bernard shook his head, purring up a storm. "Well I was, but only for a few moments. I don't have any lingering pain now." Or at least he was pretty sure he wasn't hurt worse than he was. He hadn't yet tried walking on his paw to test it out.
He gave a fur-stache smile to the young lady. He was happy that she was worried about him and what he was doing out so late. For some reason youma tended to avoid him, he wasn't sure why, but he did appreciate the concern. "Of course my dear. I do have a duty though to awaken and upgrade anyone who may need it, and unfortunately that time is when we all should have gone to bed." It's not like he was against being curled up in his soft, comfortable bed in the warmth.
"Well, I suppose we should head back then. If you wish I can go with you for the night and if I'm not allowed in the house," He knew that some were allergic to cats, and they wouldn't appreciate a cat being brought home, "then I will just make sure you have gotten home safely and I'll be on my way. My house isn't that far from here, so I will be fine on my own if need be." His owners wouldn't miss him too much. After all, they had his food. If he was gone for more than 24 hours though they would start growing concerned. But overnight? That was okay.((editing to say: rp ended! Thanks for the rp! as an official note))
