Prompt: Your character(s) visit a graveyard at the edge of the forest at dusk on a dare. Everything seems fine, if only really spooky. As you turn to leave, you see large shadows moving behind one of the tombstones.

Altair smiled, this dare was PERFECT for him, little did they know. Altair loved to spend nights in the graveyard. He would read the tombstones and makeup stories of peoples lives and how they died based on the dates of the deaths and the little blurbs that were left on the graves. Luckily he didn't have to go alone. "So you were dared too huh? Is this your first time comming here?" He smiled wickedly another thing Altair LOVED was scaring people.

"Oh did you see that?" He pointed to the edge of the woods making a face as if he saw a ghost, he hadn't actually seen anything but he hoped his shock was true enough to make them believe there was something out there.

It was very unusual for Jane to be with someone else other than Lilly. Even more so in an unfamiliar spooky place. Jane did not, could not, do spooky.

But she wasn't going to say no to a dare. The elf ran a hand through her long hair before her fingers traveled down to clutch at her middle, shivering. It was so cold in the graveyard. And there were all of these---well---gravestones! She shuddered. It was so spooky. She might have been passionate about rocks but not ones carved for the dead. Her eyes flittered towards each one that she could see. Abuse to stones. Her lips twitched into a frown.

Nightmares could be so cruel.

She jumped as her attention was called upon, eyes wide. It felt as if her body practically leaped out of her skin! "I--" she scrambled to find words. "Yes." she scowled, at the lot of grey placards for the dead. "I don't like messing with the dea--What?" Jane whipped around and back petaled until she brushed up against Altair. Freaking out at the slight touch, she jumped again. "What--What was it?!"

Altair let out a big laugh at the response of the other as he had expected this pretty girl was going to be much amusement. "Oh, maybe it was just my eyes playing tricks on me. You know it isn't quite time for the spooks to come out just yet. I assume they are sleeping quite soundly." he playfully knocked on a gravestone close to him. "Oh hello, my friend here would like to meet you if you'd come for a visit." He let out a wicked smile toward the girl before extending his hand out. "Altair, at your service mam, don't you worry I'll make sure no big bad ghostys get a pretty thing like you... but you might want to tie that hair up." He eyed her long blonde hair. "Never know what might grab ahold of it." He again felt a smile creep across his lips.

"Well, I suppose we fulfilled our dare, you went all the way into the cemetery." He motioned his hand toward the exit that was on the opposite side of the cemetery as them. He was sure this girl would want to leave swiftly. After all she didn't seem super comfortable.

An uncomfortable shiver went down Jane's spine as the laughter behind her practically bounced off of the tomb stones around them. W-Was that really necessary? The elf rubbed her arms, confused and agitated. It didn't feel that way. B-But he said that it was just his eyes. Maybe he saw something out of the corner of it. Maybe the fog was too much. She would rather believe that then...well...other ideas. Scary ideas. Ideas that she couldn't fight off.

That didn't stop the scowl on her face that she sent Altair's way though as she turned to look at the boy. "They come out at a certain time?" She didn't want to believe it. Would rather they leave before that happened but---they were going to stay here the whole night. Another shudder came over her body. Why did it have to be the whole night? Why couldn't have been just a few hours? Time already seemed like an eternity. Maybe ghosts weren't real? But then...geists were real.

Why was everything so confusing?!

She was tempted to not trust someone who she could have sworn just tried to scare her. But---it wasn't like she knew of anything either. Instead she stared at Altair and made a mental note to be wary and cautious. To not be as gullible as her best friend.

"Don't wake them up!" she nearly squeaked, nearly putting her hand over Altair's mouth to shut them up. She wasn't a morning person and she was pretty sure that ghosts at the cemetery were also not great when they wake up. And don't want to be woken up. If it weren't for her aversion to touch, she probably would have tackled Altair to the ground, make sure that he shut up.

She gave him a look when he said he was there to protect her. The thought was nice, but they barely knew each other. Could she really trust that. "Thanks, but I can protect myself." she shifted her jacket, wishing that she would have worn another layer underneath her current one. "You could have woken them up." She seethed. He'd be one of the first to get attacked in a horror flick, for sure.

"We haven't fulfilled it yet." This time she did put a hand on the one arm that motioned towards the exit, just in case he was about to start walking back. "We have to stay. For a bit." Jane gulped. It wasn't like she actually wanted to stay. But what were people going to say if they came back so soon. "Oh, you probably didn't do it?" No, she didn't want to repeat this. A few minutes couldn't hurt...right?
