Friday night! Time for parties!Well. Not really. Nix was, ultimately, a bit of an anime nerd and didn't like those much. Besides, there were more exciting things to do! Like finding his way to the top of a downtown building to have a training montage!...Well. Not really. He'd tried before. Music makes things better, but it doesn't make it just happen! Besides, he came here to meet up with the Page Cheomseongdae, get her going on a training montage! He'd used this building for that sort of thing before. It was nice and tall--so nobody would be looking down at them--and reasonably wide. The roof had a few AC units, and a stairway access, so it wasn't just flat space, but still, there was a few things there. He popped his senshi phone out of nowhere, and checked on it. Right on time. It was only then that he remembered she was afraid of heights...and so shifted to the edge of the building to peer over and wait. He figured if she couldn't get up on her own, he'd come down and help ease her way.

Cheomsongdae had arrived at the place she had been directed to... and it was only then she realized that Nix had... meant to meet on the TOP of it and it wasn't short. She stared up at the building, and shuddered. And then closed her eyes and told herself "Girl. You are going to be a strong, powerful knight. You are going to fight for the sake of all you know and all you love. This is to help you do this. And you need to get the ******** over this fear of heights." She had no idea he was looking down at her, because she was too focused on finding a path up to the top. It took her a minute, but she finally darted into an alleyway, and began making smaller jumps, up onto escapes, before going to a nearby roof that was about halfway up to where she needed to be. She paused there for a moment, taking a slow breath... and starting again, going up the fire escapes until she made it to the top. She was a little late, at this point, but at least she was up. "Hi! Sorry I was late... I had to work out how to get up here." She was, to be quite honest, kind of pale, her eyes leery of the edges... But she was also showing an expression of willful determination on her face.

Nix had to move around the building a bit to spot her, but he did eventually see Cheom looking up at the building. He waited a moment, and was just about to drop down to give her a hand when he saw her start to rise. He clapped a bit for her, but figured it was too far off to hear, so watched her progress quietly. As she came closer, he backed up to give her space. "Ah, it's all good," Nix replied cheerfully, a big grin on his face. "Getting up here was part of the training, ya know! And you did it on your first try! Congrats!" Now his grin was accompanied by a green thumbs up.

She gave him a wan smile, accepting the praise, while still wishing she did not have to do this climb up. "Yeah, I managed it. I need to conquer this fear... But I suspect it is gonna take me longer than I would really want, unfortunately." And she might spend unpleasant evenings at home, after, occasionally, with an upset gut. "So, now that we have stage one complete, what is the next stage?" Her blue eyes focused on him, now that she was beginning to calm down again. She used him to keep herself from panicking about how high up she was, letting herself focus specifically on him.

"Well, stage two is to take a minute to not panic," he suggested. "Then, I thought we could have an epic fight scene!" Nix laughed a little, then shook his head and added, "Well, okay. Not really. But, you know. Get a feel for how fighting like this works. Er, safely. You know."

She gave him a grateful smile at the taking a minute comment. Some might be offended, she guessed, but not her. She appreciated the young lad's thoughtfulness in regards to her fears and would... have to, at some point, make him some cookies or something to thank him. She blinked at the epic fight scene, freezing for a moment, thinking she was ********, and then relaxed when he made it clear he was being silly. "Oh. Ok. Well then. Other than the obvious hints of 'Try not to fall off the ledges' and all, what would you say is the best way to fight up here?" Better to get a quick verbal tutorial, and then do the REAL lesson. Just... having the tips in her head might help, she hoped.

"Well, not falling off is a good first step," Nix suggested lightly. "Though, that's easier than ya might think~ Nah, the real thing is...try to be aware of where you're moving. We don't wanna break anything important." He gestured toward some air conditions nearby. "That'd be kinda rude, ya know? Though chipping some stone now and then's okay." "But we got lotsa space! The plan, ya know, isn't so much as fighting here as it is fighting as us. Ya know, using our ability to jump and run faster. And getting used to the fact that senshis like me have magic powers."

When Nix said 'don't wanna break anything important', she initially thought he meant something like 'a leg' or 'an arm', and then she saw what he was gesturing at. "Ahh gotcha. Try not to break the local buildings and all, and try to keep their bits and bobs as intact as we can." "There certainly is a lot of space, even if it's... high up." She blinked at the difference between the two things he said, considering how that impacted her understanding of this. "Mmm, do only Senshi have magic?" It was important to know. If the enemy had magic, it would make a difference. She was... pretty sure she didn't have magic. If she did, she hadn't discovered it yet, anyways.

"Er, well, all Senshis, whether they're like me or chaos ones, have magic. I, uh, think knights and the negaversers have magic too, sometimes, but not usually the newer ones. They get some as they get stronger. If you had some right now, I think you'd know." He nodded. "Like this!" Nix declared, and faced to the side just a bit before sticking his tongue out, causing a much bigger, longer, and slightly translucent one to appear, slinging out, to smack against a sturdy-looking antenna a little ways off. The impact made a bit of a moist THUNK sound before he shot after it--he used his frog tongue like a grappling hook to pull him on over. He grabbed ahold of the thing, and the tongue disappeared. He turned back toward Cheom and grinned at her. "See? Man, that's fun."

She listened with an intense sort of concentration as he explained about magic. "So basically, until I've gotten some experience, I'm at a distinct disadvantage if I end up fighting a chaos Senshi, even if I learn how to normally fight. Good to know, so I can be prepared for whatever comes my way." She jumped in surprise, as he caused the... wow that was a long, frog-like tongue. Her eyes were wide, and she looked at him as he used it. And then at where he had been, before looking back to him. "That is... kind of wild. And a little weird, because magic..." She was a science major, magic sort of blew her mind. "But also cool. OK. So I got the basic tips down. How do we start this?"

"Start?" Nix echoed, grinning ever so slightly. "Well, that's easy!" He dropped down off the antenna, took a few steps back toward her, then held up two fists, gently clenched. "You just gotta hit me! Punch, kick, whatever you want. I can take it!" His grin was big, hopefully reassuring (that was his intent, after all), and unwavering. "It's really good to be able to see what you can do--and maybe I can see something you could do better!" he explained cheerily. "And I can take a powered hit way better than, say, a random person on the street." Not that he thought she'd try that.

She blinked, and bit her lip, then took a deep breath, and then pulled her arm back, eyeing him with care. She aimed hard, for his middle gut. It wasn't a weak blow... She was used to carrying big heavy book bags, and had started weight training... but it was not the best aim in the world. She managed, therefore, to hit more to the side of his stomach, hand kind of brushing his side, and then just sliding on past other then that. "Oh blast!" She sighed out, frustrated. "Aiming, I think, may be what I need first..."

Nix pivoted ever so slightly to go with the flow of the hit, but he hardly needed to. With a bit of effort, he managed to not giggle at the swing--that would be rude! She was trying. Still. He did smile before saying, "Ah, well, THAT I think I can help you out with!" He took a step back, then held up his left hand, palm open toward Cheom, and braced himself. "Just start moving slowly...and gradually faster. Touch your fist to my hand, then pull back and do it again. And then faster." There were other more useful things to say, of course, but that'd be a start. Aria Starstone Can probably assume that he says actually useful things between posts. I can't think of them, lol

"Mmm yeah, I can see this as a good way to make it work. Thank you." She took a deep breath to focus herself, carefully. She took a step back, to give herself a better position to angle from. She then drew her arm back, and began to slowly 'punch' his hand, focusing on the targeting the middle of his palm over and over. She did as he suggested, too, speeding up over time, but it was a slow process... every so often she'd slip up and miss, either her arm sliding past him on his side, or she stopped herself just shy of actually hitting him in the chest, since that wasn't the point of this particular exercise.

Nix spent a while patiently explaining and demonstrating how to pay attention to your own movements as you punched, ran, kicked, whatever. He wasn't the best teacher, to be sure, occasionally getting a bit too excited about things and showing a penchant toward demonstrating in needlessly dramatic ways. But still. For the most part he could get his point across. Even though a basic rundown was nowhere near enough of a proper lesson, once she could punch his hand at a reasonable speed, he said, "Okay, great! A good start! Now, try to really hit me, and I'll try to, you know, not get hit. That's where it starts getting tough. Don't worry, I won't do the tongue thing right now, or jump off the building or anything like that!" He did hop back a couple feet, though, and put up his arms in a more expected defensive pose than what he'd been doing for a while now (which had been holding an open hand out straight at her, braced). Aria Starstone Looks like this is working again...
