Standing quietly with bowed head and closed eyes, Haumea simply waited. He'd been patient this long, a few more minutes wouldn't change anything. Finally, finally he was being allowed back into the Rift, this time with a promised guide who wouldn't be terrified of the whispers and monsters within. What had the officer's name been that Tourmaline had given him? Uvarovite? Yes, that sounded right.
Inhaling deeply, an almost beatific smile flickered across the corrupted senshi's tattooed face. With a guide who didn't fear the Rift, he could explore and ferret about the tower to his heart's content. Really, his only regret at this juncture was that he'd been unable to track down Ate and Lyssa. They'd have been utterly delighted by this little outing. Pity. Still, whenever they returned, he would, with luck, have the best of news for them.
Just let me find the answer to this dilemma, he prayed wordlessly to Metallia. Let me solve this piece of the puzzle and you will never be without the most loyal of children.
What was a little wait after all, compared with being able to give his goddess the followers she deserved?

Uvarotive had been surprised to receive the request of his assistance in a trip to the Rift. It was rare for someone to want to go down there and even more rare someone outside of his and Tourmaline's little ... group, to ask him to come with them. Odd in his eyes given how much time he had spent there and the amount of research he had been doing into the Youma themselves. It had come from a Corrupt senshi though and that was more surprising. He knew how much the Youma disliked the senshi so one wanting to go into the Rift? Almost seemed like they had a death wish. Either way he headed to the location he'd been asked to meet the Senshi and at least the Senshi was already there waiting. "Eager are we?" He could see the smile on their face so at least they weren't being forced into this.

Turning slightly to size up the officer who'd arrived, Haumea relaxed slightly and shrugged somewhat self-deprecatingly. Then, aware of protocol and manners, he offered the officer a slight bow and smiled.
"I don't believe 'eager' quite covers it, but it'll do well enough for now. I take it you're Uvarovite? General Tourmaline spoke quite highly of you when I requested her assistance."
Practically charging down the path, Haumea forced himself to slow down, to keep pace with his guide. It wouldn't do to outpace the person who was keeping him from being eaten after all. So, to help keep his excitement in check, he began to talk.
"Pardon my curiosity, but may I ask how much General Tourmaline told you of my errand?"

"That I am." He nodded, following after the senshi as they started down the path. He didn't quite know the exact details but he hadn't expected a Senshi to want to be down in the Rift as much as this one seemed to want to be. It did make him wonder if there was something they wanted down here. "She didn't tell me much. She just mentioned that you were looking for a guide in the Rift and she knew myself and Pet would make better guides than she would." Tourmaline didn't particularly like being down in the Rift herself so it made sense for her to have recomended him. "She mentioned something about an area I haven't explored myself so it seemed interesting."

"Well, I do enjoy not being eaten by angry beasts," Haumea couldn't help the chuckle, though he quieted quickly enough before arching an eyebrow quizzically. "I should ask, forgive me, how formal would you like me to be? You're a General and I shouldn't forget myself."
He was quiet for a moment, wondering who or what Pet might be before flashing a slightly manic grin as his eyes lit up.
"I believe you'll find our destination quite rewarding if you enjoy exploring. To the best of my knowledge, only myself, two other senshi and one cat know about the place. And if things go well, everyone'll know soon enough."
It was a pity that he had no sure way of tracking time. He knew that it would be a considerable walk to the Tower. It would have been nice to be able to time it or give the General walking with him an estimated time of arrival.

"The Pet will keep any of the beasts who might want to snack on you away and if he can not handle them I am sure we can." He was rather sure, unless a Greater Youma chose to appear this close to the Castle then he could handle whatever it was on his own but having a senshi around was never a bad thing. They were rather useful. "As for formalities i have never had much use for them. You may call me Uvarovite, if you are uncomfortable with that General is fine." Uvarovite did not force those under his command to use formalities unless they were in a formal situation where it was called for and he saw no reason to make the senshi do so either. "I take it this place is somewhere out of the way then? I have done quite a bit of exploring in the Rift though I do have to admit it has not been in this general direction. I am usually looking for Youma rather than locations."

Hrmm, Pet must be a youma then, Haumea thought. It wasn't uncommon for officers of higher rank to have them. How interesting. And how much simpler it made life that he was working with a General who didn't insist on playing the Rank Game. Relaxing slightly, he smiled and nodded.
"Uvarovite then. And yes, it's a bit out of the way. Alkaid found the place while exploring the Rift. It's... well. It's difficult to explain exactly. You'll see once we get there. But it's left over from the old Earth Kingdom. And if your interests run more towards youma...," Haumea paused, remembering the hateful whispers and malevolence he'd sensed near the Tower. He was certain that some of those youma had been old. And old youma probably weren't super into working with anyone. "Well, I never saw any, but that doesn't mean they didn't make their presence felt."
He paused for a moment, eyeing the path carefully before taking a tiny, branching trail.
