1. Players cannot alter or change a major storyline without moderator permission. Mods are in charge of the coordination and structural integrity of major arc's... Players are generally given directions for these stories, or offered parts to play, so that all characters have a turn in the spotlight.
2. If you have an idea for a major storyline, please send it to the mods. They would be happy to look it over, and see if they cant work it into a plot-- Or turn it into a plot on its own.
3. Character development stories that are not detrimental to the flow of the game are always welcomed...There is a difference between your character initiating a football game, and introducing a major villain like Mister Sinister or Magneto without expression permission. Just remember that we adore your input, and If you have some major ideas for your character, let the mods know. We love to be informed.
(If your story idea isn't fit for the main story line, or if there isn't time for a particular event to take place as the story progresses...There is always the 'Side Thread' section of the guild that you are free to write in. If you're interested, talk to a mod.)4. You cannot write life altering posts for other characters, without expressed permission. Such as killing another players character off. Only a player can decide these things for their characters.
(That being said, if you do have permission from the other player--This rule is null en void.) 5. If you write your character into a corner or out of the flow of the story, the mods will not be responsible for getting your character back into the game.
(Example: During a battle you decide to have your character teleported halfway across the realm, it is not the mods responsibility to find a way to include your character into the story at hand.)6. While we do ask you to post once a week (or more) you must use good judgment and be mindful of those around you.
While playing "hero" and over posting is not god modding it can be very annoying to other players who may not be on when you are, or able to type as fast as you. Remember to WAIT your turn...This does not mean to wait for eternity, but at least give others a chance to respond.
So just because someone posts, and leaves it open to someone to enter, it doesn't always have to be you. You can't be everywhere at once.
(Example:
Person A posts they are lonely in kitchen.
Person B enters the kitchen and starts conversation.
Person C is outside running from a wild dog.
Person B sees this and runs to the rescue.
Person A gets up and walks to their room and states they want to talk about something.
Person B runs up stairs seeing they need to talk.
Person C gets into more trouble
Person B saves person C & gets back to person A before they can blink....etc...)
If any of this is confusing, ask a mod. We are always happy to explain.
