Luka was currently swimming laps back and forth in front of the house, wanting to practice swimming in a speedy manner. He'd gone out on a short hunt with his older twins sisters and the two of them had showed off exactly how fast someone had to be when it came to being able to spear fish. He was rather impressed by their skills and it only gave him that much more of an exact goal going forward. If he was able to be as strong as his brother and as fast as his sister he'd be quite the adept hunter. That was the dream at least.

His current training had him sticking near to home mostly because the whole of the family was sticking close. From what he gathered from his father the eggs that his mother was guarding were going to hatch soon. As such that meant that nobody was going anywhere, all hunts suspended, as they waited to welcome the new members of the family. He was curious as to how long it might be... but he wasn't going to bother his parents about. The two of them were watching over the eggs closely and bothering the two of them seemed to be selfish, something he refused to be.

Luka flipped around so that he could swim in a manner that let him look over at his cousin as she spoke to him. It seemed as though he was no longer alone in his training he thought to himself. Well, he was likely going to be alone with the actual training since he doubted Ailani would join him but he wasn't alone as far as not having company went. Better then nothing?

"Eels?" So she was off catching eels behind the backs of her parents again, huh? Something that was easy enough to guess since she made sure to make sure the coast was clear before mentioning them. After doing another lap he swam over to where Ailani was treading water, looking into the basket at the eels that she'd caught and already dispatched of.

Reaching out he took one of them before he asked, "Still feigning being useful, eh?"

"Useful by accident?" Luka starred down his cousin for a moment before he started to laugh, "Yeah, that sounds about right for you. I can't say that I am at all surprised by the idea that you could do something good in a way that wasn't on purpose. So what did you do? Trip and accidentally kill something?" Not that it was easy to do under water but still, it was Ailani so he could see her doing it.

Taking an eel in each hand he set about eating the treats. He would need to keep his energy up if he wanted to continue with his solo training after all. As he ate he looked over at Ailani before he asked, "Did you come to tell me about your accident? Or did you mom send you to see if the babies arrived yet?"

Turning to stare at his cousin for a long moment Luka couldn't help but to just go still, looking utterly confused, before he then suddenly burst out laughing. It wasn't something that the serious boy did often but he just couldn't help it. As he laugh he was able to get the words out, "You were... you... you were bait? Oh man... that... that just suits you Ailani..." He continued to laugh, almost unable to breath at this point.

Looking at the shark meat that Ailani brought with her he said, "I think they will welcome it. It's been a while since mother has been able to go out. I'm sure that they will enjoy some shark meat." He was almost certain that the moment the eggs hatched and they were able to leave that his mother would likely go out hunting as a way to use up all of their extra energy gathered from sitting around.

"Not yet, no. I'm eager to see them when they do arrive. I'm curious to see if I am getting a sister, brother, or maybe one of each." He couldn't wait to see them, to see what they grew up to be, and hopefully get to help teach them to hunt when it came time.

He nodded his head in agreement as she said that it was something that fit her. It really did with the current way that she went about things. Ah well, so long as she found something that she was good at.

"How are they doing? Father is alright, he gets to get out from time to time, though he can't stray too far. Mother is going stir crazy. You know how they are. I'm sure that they will be happy to go out hunting the moment that the babies are born." Once they were born everyone would have a hand in taking care of them, that was just how things went with their family. Until that happened though he knew his mother would guard the eggs with everything they had.

"Hunters? Yeah, more then likely they will... and they will cute as well. Or so I'm sure mother would say."

"They, not she." Luka said, having learned that lesson as a child that his mother fell into the third gender of their species even though they were a super pretty sort. It was something that his father had explained to him. He supposed that it made sense that Ailani didn't know since it wasn't as though his mother and his cousin would really see eye on eye on things. Luka was sent most times as an intermediary to try to turned Ailani to the right path.

"Wait... how is my training making you tired?" He asked in a curious manner before giving a shake of his head, "Never mind... it is you after all. You should train with me, it would do you some good." Not that he actually expected her to do so.

Luka just gave a shrug at his cousin's expression. He supposed that it was just something that he was used to though outside of his mother he hadn't met another like them as of yet. The waters were vast though so there was likely someone else like that somewhere. The two of them, Ailani and himself, would probably meet those people eventually.

"Hm. I feel as though I should check around to see if the waters are either freezing over or starting to boil. You're actually willing to train with me a bit?" He was surprised though he supposed it made sense. Who wanted to be eaten by a shark after all? Working out to avoid being used as shark bait was one way to get her moving. He wasn't sure if it would be his first choice but it was a choice.

"Come on. We will drop off the shark meat you brought with my father and then we can go and swim some laps together." It was a bit amusing to him that last time that she came by she got shark meat from him. This time around though she was bringing it herself. He'd have to make sure that he had some more of that particular meat to give to her just to keep the trend going.

"Indeed." Luka said, agreeing with his cousin as far as the oceans starting to boil went. It really was the only thing that made sense if you asked him... that or maybe she got a blow to the head during her shark hunt that had knocked a bit of heroic sense into her. It was pretty hard to say but he was just happy to know that she was at least willing to train. It was better then nothing after all.

Giving a nod he said, "There are better things to do while hunting then just being the bait." He was glad that he'd been actively hunting with his big brother instead of just being there to bait in a shark. Not that he thought his brother would do that... but still.

"Come on then." He said, motioning with one had before he swam toward the house, knowing his parents were inside. They could go in and look for his father, the man was sure to be around, and the shark meat could be passed off to him for his mother. Upon getting inside it was easy to find the big, tough looking, scarred up man that was his father. Giving a smile he waved and said, "Ailani came by to drop off some meat for mother!"
