Profession: Former singer of the hit metalcore/emo band “Tuck Fhis”; since the band broke up last year, he’s been trying on and off to work on a solo album, but hasn’t composed anything worthwhile and has also either ******** or pissed off every composer he’s tried working with. So basically he’s unemployed and living off the money he made in the band/continues making through royalties.

Hobbies:

Writing - He really wants to write an autobiography; he’s hated every ghost writer he tried to pair with since he felt like they made him sound like a shithead, so he’s been trying to write it on his own. It’s a very slow progress, and being the ‘perfectionist’ he is, he’s deleted everything he’s written about fifteen times by now. He keeps coming back to it, though - a line or two here and there - and one day he'll have enough to publish.

Fashion - Malaise loves clothes. He has a lot of clothes. An excessive, rather disgusting amount of clothes. Most are fashionable. Some are questions. He gives no ******** what you think, he looks hot in everything and he knows it. He’s also word-vomited clothing ideas at a designer before and churned out a decently popular line with his name attached (but do not take this to mean he has any capacity to make this s**t on his own, he does not and he can’t sew for s**t.)

Virtues:

Generous - When it comes to money and things it buys, anyway. Malaise isn’t great at being a warm supportive force in people’s lives, and he knows it; so, he tries to make up for it by providing for his friends. Want his ring? It’s yours. Need a mortgage payment? Sure. Car broke down? He’ll buy you a new one. He has what he needs and more, so the least he can do for the people in his life is offer them the same.

Passionate - Malaise honestly has four things going for him: his looks, his voice, his words, and behind those, his heart. He might be a lot of shitty things, but no one can ever say that he is unfeeling. When he cares about something, it’s reflected in every ounce of his being. He’s moved to tears over fan letters, advocates loudly for pet adoption (and has a pair of big, stupidly sweet mutts he saved from a kill shelter), and the emotions he pours into his lyrics - none of them fabricated and all drawn from experience - are palpable.

Flaws:

Healthy Relationship? The ******** that? - Malaise tries to fix everything with money and seems too emotionally constipated to do anything else. He says shitty things to people at the worst times, isn’t there when they need it, and he’s so consumed by his own s**t to actually do anything about it beyond remind himself what a shitty human being he is and write a song about it. He doesn’t understand why anyone sticks around, but he’s also devastated when they leave.

Unstable as ********> - Malaise mostly sustains himself on booze, sex, drugs, and sugar. He’s passionate, yeah, but he’s also dramatic as ******** and emotionally unstable to put it in the nicest possible ******** way. One minute he thinks he’s the s**t and doesn’t understand how people can resist him, and the next minute he thinks he’s a literal flaming piece of s**t and doesn’t understand how anyone could possibly get invested in him. It comes off as manipulative to people, but that’s not really his intent - this is literally just how he is.
