Sylvite had been spending her evenings for the last couple months bouncing around all excited about her upgrade and branch assignment. She was stronger, now. She had cooler powers, and an important job, a real mission, and she was gonna do it. There was so much out there that the Negaverse didn't know and she was gonna do whatever it took to figure it out. They'd be proud.

The problem was, she hadn't actually found any information. It probably had something to do with the fact that she'd been avoiding the senshi and knights at all costs.

She'd figured maybe they'd show up when she was draining, the way they seemed to do when it was most annoying, but nope. Of course now that she was actually wanting to see them they weren't gonna show up. Whatever. She'd go to them. That was okay.

That was how she ended up breaking the rules she'd been living by since she started this life. She went out at night, to a densely populated area. Destiny City University, in fact. A chunk of the people she'd run into seemed about college age, so it seemed a pretty safe bet. Also, when she'd been thinking about how to actually get people to like, tell her stuff, she'd had an idea, and that idea had involved somebody else.

So she'd sat on a park bench, watching, and waited 'till a girl walked by. She looked really tired, so she was hopefully finished with her homework for the night. That was when Sylvite pulled her typical draining trick. She walked over, staring off into space, and knocked into the girl with a giggly "Oops!"

But this time, instead of going for the energy, she went straight for the starseed.

It wasn't hard or anything. In one smooth motion, there was a gem in her hands and a knocked out girl in her arms. She put her down on the bench so she'd hopefully be nice and comfy, and then she sat cross legged in front, admiring the starseed while she waited to see if anyone would show up.

Don't s**t where you eat was an old adage, and a good one.

Felix lived by it, so did his alter-ego, Suttungr. He wasn't Pollyanna enough to believe that other people would abide by the same rules though, so he operated with the understanding that 1. many of the other combatants in the 'war' were around his age 2. they were stupid enough to s**t where they ate and 3. these assclowns would invariably need their butts kicked

This was why he patrolled the university campus as Suttungr as often as he did, and why the dastardly Sylvite wouldn't have to wait overly long before her honeytrap drew flies.

The senshi of violence felt the chaotic aura, imprecise and awful, and made beeline to it, playing parkour pandemonium all the way from the sciences building to the women's residential area, where he spotted some Negatrash sitting with a starseed and what was rapidly becoming a corpse.

"Put that ********' back before I bash your face into next year, b***h!" Suttungr swung down from a raised stair and dropped a few feet from the officer with a heavy clack, fists clenched and eyes promising murder. "I won't say it again." A lot of bluster when really, she held the cards.

Order was gross. Sylvite was never, ever quite gonna get used to their auras, so blinding bright that they almost gave her a headache. Still, today she was out here to bargain, so when she felt someone getting closer almost as soon as she'd starseeded the girl, she looked down at the little gem in her hands and grinned.

He showed up all at once, jumping down some stairs. Looked like this one was a boy, and he would have actually been kinda cute if she'd had a chance to look at him a bit before he started yelling in her face. She went wide eyed and just blinked for a second.

He couldn't just be an enemy. He had to be one of the really jerky ones. Kinda sad, but she could deal with it.

She pouted. "Woah, woah, you don't have to be so mean about it," she said, then lifted the starseed to right in front of her face so he'd hopefully shatter it if he tried anything. "This is what you want, right? If you hit me, I don't know what's gonna happen, but if you're actually nice you can just have it."

She pulled her knees to her chest and gave him a better look over. He was a senshi for sure with those bows. The super bright red and blue would make him easy to remember.

"Just answer two quick questions and it's yours, okay?"

Ahh this was slow too you're good

As upsetting as the officer found Order auras, hers was equally awful to Suttungr. He was just being bombastic and pushing past it so as to waggle his bravado at her in the name of Saturn's moon. One of them. His, to be precise.

And well, okay. He had to admit that straight-up exploding onto a scene and yelling in someone's face wasn't always the best means of making an effective case for himself, as evidenced by the officer's reaction. Her blinking, pouting, and general 'wtf' reaction - more than dismay or even really caring that he might actually harm her - said his whole spiel wasn't doing the trick.

Wait, she was pouting!? The hell kind of Negatrash pouting at being told they were Negatrash? How ******** new was this girl? Like, just born yesterday new?

Suttungr glowered, hands on his hips as he leaned forward aggressively. "I don't have time to answer questions, they die in like, four minutes from the pull. You know that, right?" Of course she did...but she probably didn't care, because Negatrash wouldn't care and that was the whole Truth about the Negaverse. If there was one damn thing he'd done since becoming a senshi, it was study. Between the best cat ever and the worst mentor ever, he'd learned a few things...like about how long a civilian could last without their starseed. And if he knew...it made sense that the Negababe would know.

Time was short and Suttungr's patience for games was low, but he didn't really have a choice when dealing with a Terrorist. "Put it ********' back and I'll answer your questions." And then I will beat your face in for putting me through this horseshit.

Okay, this senshi guy just did not have any respect at all for personal space. Like, she got that he was concerned for the girl, so at least he wasn't totally heartless, but making aggressive poses those not-quite threats while all up in her bubble was not how he was gonna get what he wanted.

She just sat there, still baffled, still blinking and just shaking her head a little, letting the seconds tick with the starseed in her hand until he mentioned a time limit. "Four minutes?" That seemed really short, but then again she didn't exactly know. Her eyes narrowed, though. Maybe he wasn't new, she couldn't tell, but he was weak for sure and that was really specific. "Wait, how do you even know that?"

She did reach back towards the girls chest, though, starseed still gently cradled in her fingers, 'cause she couldn't just let her run off. That would ruin everything. She felt the gem settle in place. She felt the girl start to stir, and looked over to see her eyes scrunched and her lips twisted. It was hurting her. Of course it was hurting her. Sylvite had had hands in her chest too, and it was the opposite of fun. With that Sylvite took it back and let the girl fall limp again.

"Nope. Nope. Sorry. I can't. That would hurt her." She turned back to the angry senshi boy, her eyes big with something that was almost worry. She knew knocking people out wasn't exactly nice but hurting them when she didn't have to was just full on gross. "She'll be okay, just- what's your name, and what's your magic?"

She held the starseed out, her fingers curled gently over it so that he could have it as soon as he told her.

The officer's reaction to being given a time limit...was not at all what he expected, nor was the way she then interacted with the unconscious student. "Yeah. I learned it from my mentors and our database. We've had a ******** of experience with you lot." For a brief, beautiful moment he thought that the officer was going to put the starseed back and leave it be, but she only settled it briefly into her chest so as to 'reset' her life momentarily.

Suttungr glowered ever more darkly.

"Jesus, just put it-- Fine, I'm Suttungr and my magic...isn't something that can be explained easily. Be logical, will you? Let her go and find out what it does by experiencing it. I guess it's like a strike. With fire. I don't know. I just hit people with it."

The brunet rocked on his heels, wanting to just unleash his magic on her, right in her face. Even if it meant the girl was lost - it might have been the better option, might have been the best way to give the civilian a chance. Aegir would try talking first. Eta too. Hold back, you can do this... "Seriously, let her go and I will show you my magic. On a trash can or something."

A database? For the other side? Oh, that was gold, she hadn't heard about that at all. Like, it made sense, but she hadn't heard or read about it at all, or any kind of mentoring systems. From what she usually heard in the Negaverse, Order was basically supposed to be this giant disorganized blob.

Like, it wasn't great that they weren't, but they needed to not underestimate the enemy. That was how bad stuff happened.

Anyway, she got what she'd been actually fishing for, the name, and she grinned big and nodded at him so hard that she rocked forwards on her knees. "Okay. There we go. Thanks, Suttungr." His magic was simple too. Some kind of attack. Okay. She could remember that. It was kind of a rush that this starseed trick was working so well, too.

She was pretty satisfied in general, actually, but he was offering to let her see the magic if she put it back. Like, he'd fufilled the deal. Maybe some people would've just killed the girl, the weird ones that got off on the power, but she wasn't like that. She was a sucker for seeing magic, though, and she'd always take bonus information.

"Sure," she said, and she put the starseed back, for real this time, no hands staying in the chest. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked as the girl's eyes fluttered open. "I think you fell."

"Uh, yeah," said the girl, although she looked creeped out and definitely wasn't quite buying it, but she started back towards the dorms. Sylvite turned back to Suttungr and cocked her head with an unspoken see?

Several emotions flitted across the young woman's face, but Suttungr could only read the broader strokes of pleasure at having gotten her way, excitement at discovering something juicy - micro-expressions and the finer points of Sylvite's expressions were beyond his grasp. He didn't know her well enough, nor was he particularly skilled at 'cold-reading' people.

Suttungr was practically grinding his teeth as he waited for the officer to do as she'd promised. Blunt nails dug into sturdy fabric of bright glove as the starseed sank once more into preternaturally stilled chest. Sylvite's victim took in a shuddering, gasping breath and roused to saccharine lies spun to ease the transition. He supposed he ought to feel grateful or something, but it just set a flood of copper-bitter saliva into his mouth.

"Searing Slam!" The moment the victim was far enough away to not be accidentally targeted, Suttungr drew upon the rage simmering just under the surface and set violence free. All around him the glow flared up, swirling up to his right hand and forming a disk that went right at Sylvite when the senshi made an uppercut style motion. "You wanna know what my magic does, ******** eat it--"

stari_maga
As discussed, he is an uncouth brat and attacc! He is an impatient creature too, and will press the attack if given a chance - so feel free to write for that/attack back/etc!

Suttungr’s Searing Slam
Suttungr’s magic conjures up a brilliant disk of fire colored energy that then goes flying into the enemy not unlike someone swinging a book bag into the victim. Upon striking the victim it flashes brightly and leaves the impression of an all-out conflagration [a visual effect, rather than tangible damage] for a brief moment before dissipating.

The attack itself can cause bruising and/or tenderness at the target location from the impact force and may knock the opponent over with an option for sunburn like damage should it be desired by player(s) for their character(s).

This attack affects a single target at a time and Suttungr has two uses per battle, there is no time limit as it’s an immediate effect casting.

She saw the way that Suttungr was glaring at her. She knew he was super mad, and she knew he was watching her, and based on how all this had been going she wasn't really surprised when he was yelling out an attack at her.

That didn't mean she was ready.

It meant she had about half a second to panic when she saw the air around his fist start to glow. She squeaked. Then, the disk hit her. She'd already been kneeling, but it knocked her back off her heels and flat onto her butt, the fabric of her ruffles scraping on the concrete. She landed weird, with her legs splayed out in front of her. Also, it hurt. Not like, terribly, but enough that she was done trying really hard to play nice with this guy. Her last traces of chipperness faded and she glared right back at him.

That meant it was time for the knives. She summoned them as she adjusted and tried to at least get back up on her knees. They weren't as sharp as they looked, but they were still real metal and better than her old lollipops. When he got too close again, she took a swipe at him. "Whatever, you jerkface!"

Really she just wanted to leave but she needed some space for that.

Suttungr really was going to have to work on not telegraphing his intent quite so clearly if he wanted to get the jump on Negatrash. It was just so difficult to not look like he wanted to bash their faces into a bloody pulp when that was precisely what his heart desired.

He had a terrible poker face.

Sylvite went down in a satisfying matter, her smug pleasure of a moment ago wiped away with shock and hurt and outrage. Don't like it when it's you being dished the s**t, do you? Too bad-- "There's more where that came from!" The senshi of violence cracked his knuckles and took up an aggressive stance as the officer got back onto her knees and drew her weapons out to defend herself and keep him at an arm's length.

"Oh no you don't!" Suttungr misjudged how long her reach was, how fast she was - and took several cuts to his thighs, hissing as he was forced to retreat instead of advance. "Your little pig-stickers can't keep my magic at bay! Searing Slam!" Once more he cast at her, this time the motions wilder and less controlled as his temper and pain got the better of him. It didn't help that Sylvite had effectively 'cut his legs' out from under him, destabilizing his ability to support himself properly while red trickled down tanned legs and into boots like the least convincing pair of stockings ever. I can't keep this up...what if she cuts something vital? s**t--

Sylvite was really proud of her upgrade, and really proud of her knives, and she loved showing them off whenever she could possibly have the chance, but she also kinda hated fighting and avoided it whenever she possibly could which left her not having much knowledge of what they could actually do. That meant when her steel bit, and actually seemed to hit pretty hard and left mister magic-happy stumbling back and bleeding from the thighs, it felt really good.

She wasn’t weak.

The smirk was back, and she laughed. It wasn’t a giggle this time, but almost a shocked sound as she worked to regain her footing. She stood, still breathing heavily ‘cause this guy just seemed like the type who wouldn’t get the message. He was already yelling again, actually, only this time she was watching and this time she was ready while he seemed to be getting kinda desperate. She sidestepped the disk this time when it came at her. Searing Slam, were the magic words, it looked like. That seemed important.

However, she didn’t really feel like dealing with this increasingly angry dude, so she took a step backwards and started focusing on her own magic. “Oh yeah I did,” she said with a smirk, and then she vanished.

And Sylvite is out! Thank you for this lovely RP!

Okay. So. He'd taken a calculated risk in attacking this officer.

It just so happened he was really bad at math.

She was a captain. He was a basic-a** b***h. She had knives. He had Fists of Fury. You didn't bring knives to a gun fight, and you didn't bring fists to a knife fight. Duly ******** noted.

Suttungr steadied himself as best he could on unsteady legs and blinked stupidly at the after image of where Sylvite had just been, her parting shot ringing in his ears. "Oh yeah I did-".

"She did not-- She did-- What the fu--" Several thoughts were born and died on his lips before his legs gave out and the senshi of violence collapsed in a little heap on the abandoned battle ground. That pink-haired harridan had just ollied out on him. She'd delivered a stinger and skipped out like a marching band having a stand battle. Utterly dominated.

He might be in love. He might be in hate.

Either way, he was definitely in pain. "Oooow. Eta's gonna kick my aaaassss..." With a groan Suttungr got to his feet and limped off to lick his wounds.
