Barry let his feet dangle off of the swing as the wind blew through his fur. It was time to grow up and he was super excited about it. He had made so many friends, of course, because he was the most friendly freshling in the world.. obviously. He wondered how many of them would be juniors soon, certainly some of them. He couldn't be leaving everyone behind. Tears began to well up in his eyes just thinking about it. He quickly wiped them away with his sleeve, he couldn't think about them. He had to just focus on himself because after all even if they were not growing with him he could still make more friends.

Besides there was a lot more that he had to learn, he felt like classes had maybe been to easy for him. That was always okay though because he was able to mostly not pay attention and socialize to the max. That's what he preferred anyway, but he knew that the teachers were gonna expect more as he grew up and he wasn't so sure that he wanted to do harder things. Barry knew that there was nothing more he would get being a freshling and would soon use magic to skip ahead. He almost felt like it was cheating though, growing magically. Sure there were other kids that did it all the time when it was time, Barry had gone through all the motions, he had met everyone to meet, he had finished all of his classes and actually managed to pass them. He knew it was time, but it felt really bad for the freinds that wouldn't be using magic and would have to follow later.
