With the match being turned into a 2 on 1 handicap gauntlet match, Chris would give his title to an official, as a referee slid in to officiate the match. Larry Sweeney would get out and stand on the apron. Chris Hero would circle the ring, staring at Joe.

Samoa Joe would circle around the ring with Chris Hero, closing in on him and offers a lock up to start this match!

Chris would be put into a side headlock, being squeezed by his opponent. Hero, wanting to break free, would try to walk Joe to the ropes.

Joe would get slapped, which angered him and he goes for several knife edge chops to back Hero against the ropes!
