Basic Information
The weapon is based on the Ares Shrike belt fed machine gun, using an HK416 style gas piston, detachable barrel, and chambered in the 6.5mm Grendel but is bullpup, with a 100 round drum magazine that automatically loads in to the firearm. While capable of being fed from both magazines and belts like the Ares shrike, typically the weapon is fed with a belt fed drum that automatically loads in the first round, similiar to the feeding mechanism of the M134 minigun. While the firearm has a belt fed feed tray and can be loaded by pulling the belt through the mechanism, the first round is loaded in automatically with the specialized loading drum due to a spring loaded feeding mechanism that automatically loads in the first road. This cuts down on the time it takes to reload the firearm, and makes it simpler in operation. Alternatively a modified 30 round magazine is available, which is traditionally spring fed. The weapon is designed to be heat resistant, belt fed, and has a detachable barrel, allowing it to serve as a light machine gun like the Stoner 63, however as a bullpup firearm. The firearm mechanism is a hybrid of the ares shrike feed mechanism and the HK416 gas piston, which are extremely similiar design, with the HK416 M27 IAR being the basis of the piston design.
