Ananke sighs... she knows she shouldn't do this... it would jeopardize all of them... but she couldn't resist those adorable faces! Ananke cooed as she placed out some cat food. She's always had a bad habit of playing with the strays but she usually managed to keep it out of her powered life... okay not really. It wasn't uncommon to find Ananke surrounded by strays these days as her summer overall had been very quiet... she doesn't remember having to fight too many youma. So, on her patrols, she usually ends up somewhere feeding animals. There is no doubt that there is probably on some message board somewhere saying 'There's some Senshi chick who's been seen feeding cats'. But Ananke is generally oblivious to that. "Hey there everyone! Hope you're enjoying all the grub."

Arthur looked a lot better than strays. Back many years ago, he was just as skinny and ratty as the rest. His white coat had been gray with oil stains from sleeping under cars, and he had the smell of garbage about him from looking for food. The city was good for strays. There were leftovers dumped all the time, massive dumpsters and resturants not respecting health codes. There were rats and always a few people who would put out food dishes for strays.
No longer in that situation, he didn't mind pretending. Sometimes you just needed a good cuddle and he had a better chance of being let indoors with how clean he was. All he had to do was dismiss his outfit.
This time around, he didn't, but watched as a girl was feeding a group of cats that clustered about her.
"I say they would be. Food means they can live a little longer and take a nap." Arthur was sprawled out atop a nearby park bench as he watched her feed the cats. He had come over when he felt her signature but stopped to watch what she was actually doing out here. It seemed she was being a savior to a lot of appreciative felines.

Not skipping a beat Ananke turned around with sparkly eyes. "Talking kitty!" Then before anyone could react Ananke had lifted the cat up pressing her face against his. "I can't resist Turkish angora kitties are just so soft." "Handsome Mr. Flufferrsss~" Some guardian cats tend to avoid Ananke because she has a habit of treating guardian cats like regular cats. "Just let me recharge a little bit... you'll let me cuddle with you right... Sir Reginald has been mean to me lately and has barely cuddled with me at all. Was it because I made him do all those photo shoots?"

He bristled as he was scooped up out of surprise but restrained himself from digging his claws in shock. When the flash of surprise passed snd he registered she was rubbing against him, he switched into cat mode in a snap. Purring loudly, he rubbed his face and brow against her as she complimented him.
"You can cuddle me all you want, dearie. It's one of my best talents." His glasses fell down to his neck, held on by a chain, as he co tinued to cuddle her back. He had been a stray, a house cat, a father, and a guardian. Cuddles were something even he needed.
"It's his loss. My name is Arthur by the way."

Ananke rubbed against him a few more times before perking up when she heard his name. "Oh right! I'm Ananke senshi of portals... well super senshi but I don't really care about all those titles." With a quick few moments, she rearranged them so she was sitting on the bench with Arthur in her lap. "Haha sorry I shouldn't have just up and grabbed you like that...I just get so excited about all the talking cats!" Ananke then scratched around his ears. "Like your space cats or whatever! I mean think of what other animals must be out there!"

"It's nice to meet you Ananke."
Arthur was glad to be settled onto a lap and worked to lick his paw and shoulder. "We're Mauvians. We just look like cats. There isn't some sort of dog or parakeet people from what I have been told. And really, what more do you need."
He wioed his face and tried to smooth back his fur. "It's alright. I used to think I was a cat until a few years ago. I still like being pettted."

"There isn't... awww." Ananke pouted for a few seconds before returning to her cheerful demeanor. "Well... it still makes you think about how big the universe is." Ananke laughed slightly. "I make me feel like... maybe there are answers out there or something..." "Is it true we can really visit other planets... well I think I've been moon before so... I guess its not out of the question..."

"It's true. Senshi have their own planets they can visit. They can take someone with them. Many senshi go to their home planet to learn more about themselves. I hear even the knights have places they go to called wonders." He informed her, turning his head and purring loudly in order to motivate her to pet him more.
He started to softly knead her lap as he got comfortable. "The universe is wide and large. You are a guardian to protect the planet from what might come from it. Good or bad."

Ananke blinked petting around Arthur's ears. "...Learn about myself... is such a thing possible..." Ananke let out a sigh. "I've always wondered if such a thing was possible... though other senshi have told me it won't really help my situation." "I really want to learn more but how would I even know where to begin. Plus I don't think I should go alone but who would even want to go with me... plus can we even breathe in space..." Ananke prattled on seemingly about random things.

"When going to your world, sometimes just being there makes you tap into past memories. I'm not saying all senshi can do this, so I don't want you to expect too much or have your hopes too high, but going to your planet should also be rewarding. It's the place you draw your power from. Your home. The place you protect."
To her other logical worries, he just laughed. "This isn't like some outer space movie. Your planet will accommodate you with oxygen and you can always go back home if you feel afraid. I can even come with you. I'd like to do more outer space travel." He assured her.

Puffing her cheeks she scratched behind his ears. "No offense Arthur but I'd be just as concerned with just you with me..." Blinking she lifted up her hands in a sort of defeated gesture. "I don't know too much about any of this but... if it will help me be a better senshi then I should go." "...Mmmm... Well if you're coming with me... I should ask around to see if another senshi or maybe a knight would be interested in going..." Squinting her eyes. "...What do you even bring on a space trip?" She mumbled.

He smiled sadly at that. "No, I get it. I'm not exactly useful in a fight or if something dangerous happened to you." He admitted.
"I have no idea. No one takes me to their planets really. I heard some planets need a bit of work at times so maybe a notebook to write things down. Camera? Jacket in case it's cold there. Thermos of coffee?" The coffee was for himself.
He could only think it more like an exotic trip. "Maybe we can find you someone to go with. You seem pretty new to all of this."

Ananke giggled. "I guess I'm pretty new... I've mostly been going with the flow so I've never really thought too hard on everything we do as senshi." Ananke nodded. Ruffling the back of Arthur's fur. "I think I've heard of some senshi and or knights who are into that sort of thing but I don't know anything about the details... well rather I don't think I've met any of them personally," Ananke said thinking about some rumors that float around when she runs into other senshi.

"I don't know too many senshi or knights myself. I suppose I'm in the same boat as well. It's hard to chase any number of you down, and it's dangerous for a cat like me to be alone running about. Aside from the beam, I'm pretty much useless in a fight." He grumbled that last sentence.
"But if you need company on patrol, I do not mind coming along to be another set of eyes." That and he did enjoy just being petted.

"If you're feeling lonely feel free to invite yourself to any of my patrols Arthur... though I can't say I'll be easy to find though... I wonder off quite often." Ananke giggled. "While you might not be useful in a fight you are still super important." She said scruffing his fur. "Even though I don't have a personal guardian cat myself knowing that you guys are supporting me helps me out."
