Personality:
❖ Kikyo is a very energetic and outgoing person. She is very confident in herself, her knowledge, and her skills but sometimes she can be too confident and will misjudge her ability to do certain things. She’s a social butterfly, at the very least saying hello everyone she’s met when she passes by. Kikyo is also very excitable, so if she finds out about something that piques her interest, you had best be prepared for her to gush about it for the next week. She loves music, mostly listening to rock and metal. Finally, Kikyo is fiercely loyal to her friends, family, and teammates.
History:
❖ Nothing spectacular ever happened to Kikyo Yamashita. She lived a normal, quiet life just outside of Mistral City. Her father was a huntsman and her mother ran a small tailoring business from their home. She idolized her father and her aunt, always dreaming of following in their footsteps to become a huntress. Her world broke when her father was killed on a mission when Kikyo was only 11. Suddenly her mother refused to acknowledge the possibility of a career as a huntress, and her dream felt like it was slipping away. Kikyo desperately clung onto it and took to sneaking her father’s Odachi out of the house and into the forest to practice. It was only months after she started training on her own that her mother was set upon by a boarbatusk at the edge of their home and her secret was revealed. Her mother realized that there was no swaying Kikyo’s mind in the matter of attending combat school, so a deal was struck between the two, Kikyo would attend Sanctum Academy but had to maintain good grades in all classes or she would drop out and come home to choose another career for her future. Needless to say, as a second year at Beacon, she has done well in her studies and has her mother’s permission to become a huntress, should that still be her desire upon graduation.
