Ability: Ghoul's fire - Roland is able to summon a devilish black fire that is able to melt like lava, be fluid like oil, and effect all things except for him. This power can manifest in two different forms. Roland can cause his flame to envelop a portion of him to gain a piercing ability and cause slight burn damage or he can concatenate this magic into different forms, causing immense fire damage. Since this flame is magic it is almost impossible to put out by normal means but with Divine or Anima magic it can be snuffed out. While it is able to be effected by those magics, the flames are also capable of effecting other magics. The piercing attribute makes only the steel of his weapon enhanced and nothing more; no pommel nor hilt except for his personal weapon, Dyrnwyn. The piercing attribute also allows for his fist and feet to be able to pierce even the strongest of dragon scales; And when as a beast his beak, talons and his very feathers can become like blades that pierce the darkest of nights. Yet only up to the wrist of his hands can pierce metal and only up to the ankle of his feet can puncture steels. No matter what the form this spell is used in, Roland may only use this spell seven times and must charge one post for each time he'd like to regenerate his mana to use this spell again. So if Roland were to shoot three fireballs as a phoenix it would take three post for him to recover that ability to shoot three times again.
Weapon: Dyrnwyn
A two-handed claymore forged with dark magic so to manifest an eerie strength which withstands the flames of Roland's power; Swirls of sacrificed dark dragon blood forever shifting around the blade like fires internally ablaze.

Bio: The Birth of a Prince.
Born into the royal family by his graceful mother, the late queen of Bellris, and his heroic father, Sir Leon Heartrize, Roland was the product of his mother's second marriage. Before his birth there was a huge concerning uproar from the people of the kingdom about who would truly be succeeding to the throne, weather it being the child of her first marriage which was with a royal or the second child as they are the child of the king consort. It had almost sparked a civil war within the queendom but once Roland was born as a male it settled the matter and his eldest sister Hysteria would be taking the crown, for males can not ascend to the throne.
Earlier Life and Upbringing.
Years would go by with life being perfect for the royal Bellris family. Roland grows showing great potential as a dignified prince from an early age and quickly picks up how to read young, impressing his family and those who knew him young. But it was his prowess on picking up his father's fighting moves which was taken note of. His father's stories of suspense and heroism captivated the prince so much that he too wanted to become a legendary knight just like him and honorable followed in his father's footsteps; Thus began his daily training with father and the guards of the queendom.
Fate.
At the age of 9 life took a brutal turn for the worse. During a dispute between The Queendom of Bellris and The Holy Empire of Lionis, his father and a dark dragon's platoon fought to settle a matter. While his father fought bravely, slaying almost all of them, but he was mortality wounded and died at the rivers near his homeland. Only about a few months, his mother then passes away and leaves the Roland feeling a void in his heart and anger he did not know to control. It was at this time Roland began studying dark arts and ancient rituals for anything that could change fate that what it already was...If it were not for his sisters he may not have made it through such troubled times.
The Rise of a Prince.
He has grown strong and proud, becoming a knight for The Queendom of Bellris just as his father did. While he protects the realm he one day, by fate, finds that dark dragon which led the platoon that killed his father. The dark dragon was a sellsword now and with no one around Roland use this situation to exact the revenge he has always wanted. The very sword that killed that dark dragon was a sword his father helped Roland create, and with the fresh soul of that dragon Roland calls forth dark magic to bind it and strength his blade. From there on Roland has meet no opponent that could beat him as a knight of Bellris.
Rise of a Queendom, rise of a Republic.
The land was good and so is all in queendom of Bellris until the plague strikes and kills many throughout the world. Many worry but the royals handle the matter by public means and even through the natural disasters that come the queendom stays strong. Strong enough to secede from the empire. On the night of the ball the announcement was made, ushering in a new form of government for Bellris and finally becoming independent. Though, this came with a price and that was losing the trust of some neighboring kingdoms. Many say that Bellris had a hand in the events that happened but that matters very little to the royals who rule with their council over the independent republic.
One year's time.
As the new empress, Catharine, takes to the throne a sense of corruption sweeps all of the land. While there were many in her favor there were more who wanted her gone, and so the civil war broke out. A whole year of bloodshed and of turmoil, with many losses for many but gain for a select few. One of these select few was Prince Roland. He and some of the knights of Bellris helped in the revolution, taking what he could while also trying to stay from the spotlight as a masked stranger, less he be looked at as a traitor to the empire. While his men stole many riches they hardly took any land for they didn't want to bring suspicion, but also justified the expansion of Bellris' borders, under private ownership, as an aftermath effect of the coup d'etat. After a successful campaign Roland and his remaining knights return to Bellris from the memorial ceremony at Ethe and come to see the changes which have happened in their absence. With home, family and relationships having shifted because of the civil war Roland hopes that all is well as he takes his place as second in command of the Council of Bellris.
Year 201 - 202
Moving into year 202, Roland had been a busy man. After the volcanic eruption in Ethe which took his younger sister's life, Theodora, Roland tried to help the Ethen refugees that ran to Bellris for aid but things were not to go as smoothly as he hoped. He tried becoming friends with a person of influence among them, the Baroness Youkimi Kai, and attempt to have her as a trusted member on the Council of Bellris but his plan was thwarted by his sister's malcontent for the flood of foreigners. He also had resistance from the Count of Titanus, Dixon Titanus, and was accused of trying to steal the Ethen people for his own needs but soon after things in Ethe cleared up. The refugees were able to return home but some chose to stay. While he couldn't find them all homes Roland did have a few of the Ethens live on his lands and work for their keep. Mixed with these people are a few men Roland has asked from Count Dixon for a plot to overthrow his sister, Head Chairwoman of The Council of Bellris, Hysteria Bellris, but for some time now he's been debating wether or not he can fully take up his plan into motion and overthrow his sister.
While there was that issue going on there was joyous times to be had as well. His love for the princess of Zalto, Athena Llewellyn, had bloomed in full and his heart could see no other. With such love came their forbidden union and through that union came the lives of their two children, Arthur Percival and Leon Hartwin, and since then Roland has been seeking a way to claim Athena as his wife and have her live with him, along with his children, at his estate of House Bellris. Cyn Bronzewell had been given the rights to the Bronzewell Estate after proving to his sister that he is the soul heir to the lands and after becoming a training officer for the Bellrisan army Cyn and Roland became acquainted. A surprise visit to Cyn's home revealed very much about the person behind the name and since they keep a secret together they've been training partners since then and have developed a friendly bound with each other. Roland has become a better swordsman since learning the fighting technique of the Lionian through Cyn's training with him and since then Roland has become interested in learning different fighting styals and expanding his influence throughout the entire realm.
Year 203 - 208 (current)
Since the year Roland had taken a step back from the spotlight to focus on his lands and tend personally to the peasantry who live on his own property. While he did contemplate taking over rule of Bellris by slaying his sister and usurping authority he couldn't bring his heart to kill his sister. The troops from Count Dixon's territories who lived on Roland's lands, as per an agreement, and continued to train under Roland's command under the guise that soon they would attack Hysteria and riches would be theirs; A fake cover he'd keep up until the end of the war. With what little Ethens stayed in Bellris a few good words could be spoken of Roland in their lands but what he wishes more than anything else is to hear the good praise from his soon to be wife Athena, the Princess of Zalto. Roland hasn't had much time with Athena or their children, Arthur and Leon, and so much so because of duty dictating him to stay and see to what needed to be done within the republic. Training with Evelyn was an everyday thing until she felt he understood the Lionis tactics and fighting style well enough to work out on his own; Roland then taking his knowledge to his peasants to train the men for whatever might come the day of tomorrow. The fact he and his sister were upgrading all of their republic also ate away at his time and attention, yet not as much as the trouble he had coming to terms to who his sister truly was. Finding out the soul of Shiphera Artismia was possessing his sister's corpse troubled him deeply, but if the gods allow this then maybe it was with reason?
This only made the knighted prince question the will of the gods that much more.
With the harsh winter having come in full force a surprise came in the wake of the storm lifting. The first hostel attacks were made and war was set into motion. Roland rallied all his capable soldiers and took them into battle when Smokescale was taken seige of, and since that battle Roland has been on the campaigns against Lionis, along with his sister and Princess Evelyn, which lead to emperor Azazel's defeat in the Lionis-Bellrisian War. In the overall wars Lionis was overpowered on all fronts which lead to the emperor's death and Evelyn's ascension to her rightful throne which brought peace, somewhat, to the land and a great deal of pride that he was able to help a very close friend raise to where she deserved to be. With the war now done, and the empress' reign blessed by The Twins of the Moon along with The Formless Goddess of Love and Inspiration, Roland felt inspired to be at the side of his betrothed, Athena Llewellyn and stayed a month at the castle of Zalto to reconnect with his family; Especially his sons Leon and Arthur. When Roland planned to return his family asked to be with him too, and so to make things even he and Athena came up with the idea that they take two months to live in the kingdom of their significant other then switch for the next two months. While a little confusing at first, Roland spent two months in Zalto with Athena and the kids before he'd then take them to live with him in Bellris. This went on for quite a while until he and Athena received word of King Aldon's death during breakfast while they lived in Zalto at the time. Roland stayed longer to console his wife and was even aided by his sister, Hysteria, to comfort Athena in her time of need.
While Roland wished he could have stayed by his love's side he was finally called back to Bellris to handle new problems concerning their citizens being kidnapped near the borders. With Athena having to deal with the line of succession and her own kingdom's issues they took to their work once again but promised that this year they would finally wed and make their union official; The two of them letting the world know of their love for each other. For now, in Year 208, Roland works to continue building up the Republic of Bellris to keep ensured its independence while keeping the other kingdoms as allies, keeping his beloved Athena and his sons happy, and keeping empress Evelyn as his close friend.
