Gev was patrolling but he was dreadfully bored and aggrivated. He was over a year as a knight and he felt he had progressed so little in that time. He attributed this to nothing much to do aside from trying to hunt the DMC, having no guidance, no accountability, and no responsibilties. At least as an officer he could feel productive in gathering energy on slow days. As a knight there was nothing else to do. So often he met knights in a similiar state as senshi. Around, in uniform, but uneducated and untrained. Then again, what was there to motivate them? What could they set their sights to? Most didn't even fight.
Sighing, he pulled back his hood and walked the streets. "What a waste."

He did not recognize the power signature, but he recognized the man's face once he drew close enough to see it.
Celsus' patrolling had taken a turn for the better in recent months and years. He had spent a great deal of time with both Corvus and Eurydike, as well as Emrys, wandering around together. Mont Blonc as well had joined the ranks after his return, which was a positive that made him feel much more at ease than he had in a long, long time.
But his past - the past that he had worked long and hard to drag himself from - was crawling back to him, as it sometimes did when he was alone and left with only the thoughts that threatened to creep up and strangle him when he wasn't paying close enough attention.
If he was thinking correctly, the knight's name was Gevauden. Celsus had only seen him once, and it was right before the invasion of the Rift, when the two of them had gotten into a vicious sort of brief squabble in which Celsus had cared extremely little for both his and Castor's opinions. It had been during a time when he had been at his lowest, he remembered this; but the emotions had still been real, and he had still not believed in either's point of view.
But still. That had been years ago. Perhaps things were as different now for Gevauden as they were for Celsus.
He drew nearer, cape brushing against his ankles, and held up a hand in greeting.
"Good evening."

The signature was nearby but he hadn't thought much of it. It was order and order tended to either be avoidant, close to a set curfew, and a few times approaching. This time, they turned their direction to him, and he walked a bit slower to see if they were heading to him.
They were, and so he stopped and waited for them to approach.
As much as Gev remembered a lot and was stubborn with plenty of people in the past, he didn't have much recollection about the man who approached him. There was a vague sense he should know him, but he couldn't place it at the moment.
"Good evening." He said, greeting him back. "Night going well for you?"

Gevauden's expression indicated that he likely didn't recognize Celsus, but this was not a big deal. Celsus gave him a small nod and said, "Quietly. It's going quietly. I haven't seen much of anything these last few days, and I have not yet come across anything or anyone out of the ordinary."
He gave the knight a flicker of a glance, lips pressing together.
"And you?"

"Quiet. I spotted a youma a few days back but that was about all there was to it. A few senshi in the park were following a wraith but it vanished soon after." He said, finding it disheartening that there wasn't any news or reports about the Dark Moon Court. It was rare to hear anything about them. Exactly how large was there numbers anyways or were they so organized that they excelled in moving without being noticed.
"I've been looking for the Dark Moon Court but haven't heard anything about their movements for a while now." kuropeco Resurrecting this one too.
