Tabitha Tabitha needed to find a partner for her latest project in science..and she had no idea who the heck she was supposed to pick. Tabitha was close with her family, but Aodh didn't have this particular assignment due, and even if he did...she imagined he would want to ask Cerise. She knew the other had a soft spot for the Fallen girl, so it wasn't like he would have tried to make him pick between her and his crush. Although if she could she would have guilted the hell out fo her bro just to get it done, and give him a hard time. Smiling at the thought of the grumpy hybrid, she spied a Nixie who seemed to be looking around the class with that same wondering, hopeful expression to try and find someone else who hadn't already paired up. Waving at her, she tried to flag the other down. Emilia Emilia was a bit bummed out, she really didn't want to do this assignment and Zane wasn't in this period with her. So it wasn't like she could go track down her girlfriend and ask her to pair up right this second..the teacher expected them to figure it out on the spot. Sighing she looked around, noticing a bunch of kids had already gone over and picked their friends. It wasn't like Emilia wasn't popular or had other friends beside her beautiful lady, but it didn't make it any easier when lots of buddies had already picked! Her tail twitched in mild annoyance, worried the teacher would have to pick for her...that was so embarrassing.
Only a Grimm girl was flagging her down! Her expression brightened as she waved back. "Oh hey! You need someone too?" She asked, already moving close to the other. Tabitha Tabitha sighed with relief as the other broke the ice first. She didn't know the other girl, but whether Emilia knew it or not..she had just spared Tabitha a lot of heartache and anxiety in trying to ask a complete stranger for a favor. This way, it was neutral, and she didn't feel awkward trying to find a good way to start the conversation. Nodding her head, she looked at the other sheepishly as she closed the distance between them. "Yeah...I was just wondering what I was going to do, you are a real life saver." Tabitha began with a small laugh that sounded airy and light now that she wasn't as stressed out. Emilia Emilia felt her cheeks flush slightly as the other looked at her like she was some kind of savior. Maybe the other had social anxiety? Emilia wasn't really sure, but hey everyone had their thing and if she could make someone's day better that was pretty rad. Rubbing her neck she offered out her other hand to the Grimm. "My names Emilia...! It's nice to work with you, I think we were in the same boat after all." Emilia added thoughtfully, as she pursed her lips. Come to think of it, she maybe had seen the other around...which was a given they all went to the same school. Didn't the other girl have a ton of siblings or something? That sounded vaguely familiar, even if she wasn't sure. Tabitha Tabitha peered at the other with a curious expression, as she listened to her. The Grimm's ears twitched, rolling forward as she pursed her lips. Yeah, it sure did seem that way, which meant they both had a partner now..and would be able to get the credit they needed from the project. Tabitha wouldn't have minded working alone, but the teacher had been pretty clear that they needed to partner up, no excuses yadda, yadda. Her gaze flickered to the hand being held out, tentatively she reached out and clasped the others hand, mindful of her claws as she shook hands. "It's Tabitha, and rock on girl. I agree, so it's all good. Did you have any ideas about what kind of topic you wanted to research?" She asked, grabbing her chair and bringing it to the back where the others seat was. Sitting on it so her chest faced the back of the chair, Tabitha's tail swished back and forth as they chatted. Emilia Emilia gave the others paw a firm shake, not worried about the claws of the other. Besides, it wasn't like they were acting aggressive, or gave her reason to feel aside... In addition to that, their paw had been soft to the touch, which she didn't linger on beyond being surprised briefly. Emilia was happen taken, even if the other girl had a certain charm about her the Nixie simply focused on the assignment at hand. "Hmm, no, actually I notnto sure. I was thinking about doing a visual on volcanoes, that would be easy to assemble and fun to look at." She suggested with a small shrug.
If it was any consolation, Emilia might have been the first to approach the other girl, but it was born out of necessity and not wanting to have to scramble anymore than they were currently.
Tabitha Tabitha paused as the other shared her thoughts. "That would be a good one, I don't really have much to contribute idea wise." Laughing softly Tabitha's lips pursed as she considered their options. "I know it was pretty open-ended, we just have to have a visual right? We could do one of those big folding things that you stick information all over to do with it to add facts and data about them! That way we have more than one component to the project?" Tabitha suggested, grabbing out a piece of paper to jot down their ideas, and possible supplies they would need. Emilia Emilia's eyes lit up when the other mentioned doing a little extra work. Emilia appreciated the others work ethic, she actually was an overachiever herself...so it was appealing to have a factual display board, as well as a fun visual they would get to put together. "Okay, yes that actually sounds really cool. We could split it up, and each work on a part of it and have it all come together." Emilia hummed thoughtfully, realizing they would likely need to exchange contact information to make this happen. A few days in the library, and maybe one afternoon at one another's place to make the actual erupting volcano actually look like one...hmm. Emilia rubbed her chin. "Here, this is my cell phone number." She slipped the other a piece of paper, making sure her numbers were clearly legible. Tabitha Tabitha blinked as she slid her a piece of paper, realizing the other seemed to be pretty on top of things. Hopefully, she wasn't to micro-manger like..but it was a little late to be worried about stuff like that. Smiling, Tabitha looked at the other with a small smile. "Yeah, let me grab my phone I never memorize stuff like that. Music notes? Heck yeah, that stuff is second nature to me." Leaning down, her hair slid over half her face as she rummaged around..quickly glancing at the device's info before scribbling down the number to exchange with her. "I usually am free most of the time after class, I will help watch my siblings but if I know ahead of time I can plan accordingly," Tabitha mentioned. Emilia With that settled, Emilia had a good feeling this was going to be a great start to even a potential friendship. Emilia always welcomed new friends, and while she wasn't too sure what all the other liked or was into..they could work it out. If the other Junior was this laid back, it was easy to make such an assumption. "Okay, how about tomorrow? I'll make sure to let my Mom know, and will meet up with you outside by the courtyard after last period and we can get this ball rolling?" She offered the other beaming happily. They were going to make the BEST project ever! Okay, maybe there would be other awesome ones...but hey it was good to be pumped up right?
