Sleep was something that Hyeon didn't think he would take for granted any time soon, even after he had been in America for almost a year now. Still he did have the occasional late night thanks to nightmares, thoughts not wanted to quiet down, or duties since he had been powered up. Tonight he wasn't awake thanks to having to save the city and thankfully he wasn't up thanks to nightmares. Rather he was up thanks to a nice little bought of homesickness. Terry had gotten him into Overwatch a little while back so when the new short for the South Korean character Hana Song, or D.Va as her hero handle addressed her, he had of course watched it.
Seeing the animated and futuristic rendition of Busan had been both a delight and a kick to the gut, much as the entire short video had been. Not only did he miss South Korea and his family still there, but the attack of the robots just made him remember the reason why if he did return, whether to live or to visit, he could never power up. Chaos ruled the world and there was little he could do other then what he already was to protect the one city he was in. The parallels wasn't something he had been expecting in the least.
At the moment he was finishing up some emails meant to be sent to his family and friends but he had to keep going back and editing them to make sure his thoughts of the Negaverse causing trouble didn't slip in on accident and either cause trouble or make people question his sanity. He wasn't about to actually send his grandfather an email about if he had seen any giant dog creatures roaming the streets stealing crystals form peoples chests for instance.
Once he was finally done and all of the messages sent out he sat back in his chair for a moment to give a sigh. Hyeon didn't want to bring this up to Seung, as then his cousin would worry for a while before his slowly building family could steal his attention back where it belonged, he didn't want to bring it up to Terry as the other man wouldn't quite understand, having lived in this city as long as he remembered. And he didn't feel comfortable bring it up with Eunkyung for the same reason as Seung but with her she wouldn't have new twins to turn her attention to when the worry became to much.
The Korean man shook his head and gave another sigh before straightening up and starting another message, this one to his former group mates asking them how they had been and if they had been anywhere interesting lately. Maybe after this he would play some Persona to get his mind off of the struggle between real life Order and Chaos and onto something that was easier to overcome thanks to video game logic and mechanics. And depending on which version he played, well, maybe could could feel closer to his former group mates as well.
