Nara must've been very tired. When she awoke, the sun looked to be rising again. She vaguely remembered falling asleep, but she didn't think it would be until next morning! She blinked, shifting herself in the soft paws of the god of balance. Was he awake yet? Her dark blue eyes glanced up.
The young goddess wiggled her way out of the paws of the other. She shifted down to her eagle chick form, fluffing her wings before walking over to the other. She climbed on top of his back, clicking her beak as she walked her way up to his head. She smirked, tapping her beak on his metal helmet, hearing the clinking noise.
"Wakey wakey!" Nara said with a giggle, perched on the top of Griffith's head.

Griffith was vaguely aware of movement, the p***k of little eagle claws moving across his fur. The god shifted, rolling onto his side, one large paw moving to cover his eyes. Just five more minutes... wha--okay I'm awake, I'm awake! "Morning already?" The sound of small beak on the metal of his helmet broke through the last remnants of sleep, his eyes opening as his maw spread in a broad yawn, paws stretching out in front of him. Why did children always insist on waking so early? His head turned, glancing at the small eagle goddess perched on his head, giving her a sleepy smile. "I see you are feeling better this morning."

"It is morning! I know I wasn't expecting to sleep so late! Come on, come on" she tapped her foot. "Up up up!" She chirped, her talons grasping at his blue mane as he rolled and stretched. She began jumping on his helmet, her light form probably not even moving his head at all, but certainly making small clink sounds as her nails his the metal. "Yes yes. Come on, no more sleeping!" She continued to whine. She all the energy. The fever and remnants were long gone it seemed, and in it's place, a hyperactive ball of fur (feathers?) ready to go. Nara fluttered to the ground, pecking at one of Griffith's big paws. "Get. up." Pushy pushy pushy.

"I'm up, I'm up." Griffith raised one paw to scratch behind his ear, another broad yawn as he rolled back to his paws. Nope, he was not getting those five more minutes, not even a half a minute it seemed. So much energy little Nara had this morning, he supposed he should not have been surprised. After sleeping all day the day before, she must have been about to explode with the energy of youth. He would stretch each limb in turn as he stood to his feet, careful not to jostle the small eagle from her perch. At last fully awake, Griffith turned his gaze fully toward the little goddess (at least as much as he could with her sitting on his head). "What do you wish to do today?"

Nara found herself shrugging, clambering around on his back, walking back and forth the length of his spine back to his head. "I don't know. I think we should make our way back to the pride though. I don't what any of the mortals know I am missing. A cub gone from their ranks might send off an alarm." She frowned. "But I don't want to fly there!" She said quickly, even though that would be the faster option. "Staying on the ground!" She was adamant as she fluffed up, small feathers loosening and floating in the air. "So...can you take me back?" Nara asked, her small head tilting so it was now in his line of sight.

Griffith squinted, the fur on his back ruffling as the goddess marched up and down his spine, doing his best to resist the shiver that rolled through his body. The god snickered lightly, ahaha, that tickled! "We can stay on the ground. We will only fly if you want you." A reassuring smile, Griffith glanced over his shoulder at the little goddess. He was not surprised she did not remember him flying her in the first place, she had been barely conscious. It would be a longer journey by paw, but he would have never dreamed of forcing her to fly, not unless an emergency called for it. "Are you going to stay up there then?" Riding on his back as he walked? He supposed it was a place to start, she could even pretend she was flying if she liked. Perhaps she would get a tasted for it and find she enjoyed the wind through her feathers.

"Nope. Don't wanna." She said with a frown. The ground it was! At his next question, Nara smiled. "Uh-huh!" She cozyed up on his shoulder, not feeling like moving. "Giddy-up!" She giggled, moving towards one of his pairs of wings. She watched them for a moment, before she went to look at her own. How did wings work, really? She felt herself extending one of the, comparing the size of her eagle wing to his much large lion god one. "How do these even lift you off the ground?" She asked, tucking her wing back to her side as she made her way back to his helmet. She would perch on his head while they walked.

"Alright, we will walk then." A sigh of relief as she settled on his shoulder, he did not know how much longer he could have resisted falling into fits of giggles with her walking down his back as she had been. May she never realize just how ticklish he had been, he would never be safe again. "As you wish." Of we go then! A last shake, a stretch of his wings before folding them back to his sides, and the god was off, paws carrying him on the path away from the stoney cave, back to the gem lands of the pride. "Well, flapping your wings together creates life, which is what makes you fly. Birds have very light bodies, so it is easy for most to fly. God are a little different, we can fly even without wings."

Nara did not seem to notice the effect on her nails on the other's back. She probably would use it against him if she did later in life. When he stretched his wings, she felt herself rumble slightly on his back. She continued to watch the feathers as the other began to move, comparing the large wings with his own small ones. "Well...you didn't flap your wings the other day when you lifted off the ground." She pointed out. "And I don't see how that is possible. Mortals don't have wings. Why can't they fly if gods can fly without them. I call shenanigans on that!" She countered. She didn't know how Gaius ended up getting her out of the tree. Falling with style, perhaps? "I don't think I will ever fly." A small frown appeared on her beak as she moved to rest on his helmet.

Griffith nodded. "That was more gliding than flying. I used my wings to catch the wind like a sail to lift me from the ground. But it was not strong enough to take me far, and for true flight, I would have needed to flap my wings. If you fly high enough, you can catch thermals and glide great distances. Large birds fly that way so they don't tired their wings out." As he spoke, he would spread his wings to demonstrate, the top most pair unfolding to their full width to show how he'd caught the wind, moving one wing up and down to show how a bird would flap their wings. "You are correct, mortals cannot fly. There are many things that gods can do that mortals cannot. We can teleport as well as fly, and we have other abilities that mortals would describe as 'magic'. You will see as you grow older."

Nara's head tilted and turned as he demonstrated the wing flapping. She found herself grabbing the strands of his mane, in case he decided to not keep his promise of staying on the ground. The young Fidelity found her own wings expanding, flapping them slowly to mimic him. After a moment, she tucked them again. "I think...I have teleported before. Three times." The first time from the Haven (she assumed), the second from the male lion who had accused her of stealing her own necklace, and the third after the incident of her necklace being stolen and brought her to the rogue lands where she had met Van. "Mortals are weird." She ultimately decided. She glanced down at Griffith. "I think I am already seeing it." She murmured, wings starting to flap again, though she remained tight-taloned in the male's hair. She was not chancing any lift offs, but this was probably as close to flying as she would get for the time being.

Griffith glanced toward the little goddess, very much aware of the small talons grasping onto his mane. Do not fear, little one, he would keep his word and keep his paws firmly planted on the ground. As much as he wished to teach his young one to fly, he knew she must learn at her own pace, forcing her would only make her more afraid. "Have you? Then I am certain you will be teleporting with no trouble before long." The god laughed at her comment on mortals. "Yes, I suppose they are rather weird." He quickened his pace a bit, creating just little wind moving to move through her feathers, watching her from the corner of his eyes as she moved her wings, a smile on his maw. Pretending to fly was another step closer, he knew she would get there.
