He sat on the stone bordering a small maple tree. One of the many that brought some sembalamce of natural life in this city. It was cool for 4am, and he could hear the small tree rustle. It woukd be a few hours till the sun came up. A car peers rubber someplace far and distsnt and echoed out long and far into the starless night sky.
The red sneakers of the boy had stopped moving, and oicking up a rock, he tossed it at him. It bounced and rolled away. Both the stone and the boy motionless now.
He didn't let death linger for them. He knew the man had littke knowledge of hiw things worked. Unless for interrogation and after a few torn fingers and a broken leg, it confirned he had nothing left to give. He left him chained to the metal chair and returned with a pipe. A strong stab through the chest and he was done. Wiggling the pipe, removed it before stabbing it again before he got a firmer hold and pressed down, working the ribcage.
"..shot through the heart and you're too blame.."
He wigged again and grunted as bones snapped before tossing the pipe aside. "..darlin, you give love a bad name."
Taking off his gloves, he resched inside and pulled at the slick flash and muscle outside of the bones and pulled back, shaking his hand behind him as chunks of flesh dripped and slapped onto the ground. Still warm. A body was hot inside but without a beat it did grow cold. He had to work before it stiffened.
Again he reached inside, traversing the vague knowledge of anatomy he studied just for the sake of targeting vitals. 'He was no doctor.' He could image the coroner tell the police later. He liked to imagine the discussions they woukd have over cigarettes and coffee. He didn't enjoy making extra work for them though.
"..an angel's smile - is what you sell.."
Gripping both hands onto the slick bones, he yanked back and felt the ribcage break before he tossed them aside for later.
And there, inside, was the torn heart. A bloody pulp skewered by the pipe. If he was an officer, it would be where he would have reached for a starseed. Reaching in, he wrapped his arms around it and pressed. Hearts were resistant. A hard muscle that had push and little give and almost felt synthetic but given enough fierce pressed between his fingers. He pulled the valves and splayed it open.
"You promise me heaven - then put me through He'll."
He moved closer, settling himself in the man's lap as he picked up the cloth beside him. Unwrapping it, he pulled out a shard of mirror. A broken display for Sephora 2 blocks away from when he first met the Dmcer.
Green eyes looked him over. Out of uniform, the senshi was 2 inches taller. Sandy brown hair. Wavy. Smelled lightly like fabric softener. Had a chipped front tooth. Two freckles under his right eye. Brown eyes. Blue polo shirt. Khakis. Keychain of a surfboard and a dolphin.
Wrapping the cloth on one end of the shard, he kept his focus on his face as he did a quick jab inside his stomach and slid it across his midsection.
"..chains of love got a hold in me.."
He reached up and pressed the blade of mirror into his heart and left it tucked inside, wiggling it until it fit into his chest cavity.
"...when passions a prison..."
He sighed and stepped off him to stand, hands dripping.
"..you can't break free."
He leaned in, a hand resting on his lukewarm shoulder, and he bite down into his neck. Once he felt skin break, he pulled back and knelt down.
"Ohhhh, you're a loaded gun... ....ohhhh there's nowhere to run...."
Resching in deep, he started to empty the man into his own lap and around the chains that secured his body to the metal chair. Generic metal chair. He saw them so often and each time he had anxiety attacks. Each time he felt paranoid and felt the clentching about his chest. The touch of cokd metal was one of the worst sensations he now knew. That and fire.
""...no one can save me...the damage is done."
Done, he stood up and stared. His 2 to his 1. Brown eyes to green. Dead to dead. He wiped his wet chin with his shoulder, wet up to his elbows.
What was sad about all of it?
Without taking starseeds and devouring them, he'd return.
He went to the mirror frame he left gauntness the wall and came back, dumping the remaining pieces around him. The shards broke and chimed as they hit the stone. Shimmering confetti about the red stains. Mirroring and multiplying the scene.

He could smell blood.
It was such a distinctive scent; the kind of thing that permeated through the air like a fog, hanging over everything, so that even the leaves and the grass and the wind blowing across the city smelled of it. A coppery, metallic scent with a subtle sweetness that was either nauseating or sickly depending on how saturated it was.
Wolfeite knew that scent well.
The starseed was held within the confines of fingers that ended in sharp claws, captured in a cage against his palm. The night had gone better than the general had expected, but in truth had been rather dull; one starseed was unsatisfactory in a way that grated at his nerves. There were many more to be had within just the city limits, after all, and to be deprived of them was an injustice; he would get to them sooner or later, it was just a matter of time and a dedication he was prepared to give.
The blood, however, was interesting.
It was unusual in the way that it was also accompanied by a power signature that did not, as it turned out, read of Chaos, which Wolfeite had been expecting. On the contrary, it reeked of Order, which didn't really make sense, because Order was full of people whose cowardly ways and reluctance towards violence Wolfeite found highly entertaining. He preyed on them deliberately; that was the point of it all. None of them had ever put up a good fight.
The sheer scent of blood was growing now, the closer he got to the outskirts of the city, drawing nearer now to a small and secluded outcropping of trees that stood a short ways away from one of the lesser traveled roads. Wolfeite, his tail flicking back and forth, crossed a narrow alleyway and took a turn, following both the smell and the power signature. It perhaps would not have been such a pervasive scent had he been closer to human; but Wolfeite was so far removed from human these days it didn't really matter. Not to mention that the youma side of him enhanced his already superior senses, making it all the more easy to pick up on things.
It was an oak tree, as it transpired.
An oak tree, a dead body, and a knight.
Wolfeite supposed it was a knight. He did not have the same frilly looking costumes as the senshi did, in their ludicrously tiny skirts and their rather unappealing - and tacky - tiaras. But the man in front of him (Was he a man? He seemed so small) had a white , fancy, golden ensemble, which gave him away, even if the aura had not.
Well. The uniform had once been white. Now it had vivid scarlet stains spattered across the sleek fabric, a sight that made Wolfeite's heart race in spite of himself. His ears, still upright, flicked just a little in the direction of the knight, the mask still high and secure on the lower half of Wolfeite's face.
"You made a mess," he pointed out, voice a low, rumbling growl, though there was the faintest trace of amusement. "That possibly could have been handled better."

He felt the Chaos signature move further off, and he hoped beyond measure it would be a member, a friend, of the monster he just killed. Someone he could add to the collection. His mind already raced with how he'd add to it. Maybe draped over their lap or even hanging from some place. "I bet you'd like a friend. You could have used one before I found you." He said, reaching out to brush some of the man's hair from his pale, drained face.
But as it drew closer, Gev found himself slightly confused which was usual because he was pretty good at picking apart an energy signature. It was Chaos, but it wasn't that of the Mirror court. Negaverse, but - something felt off. It lacked something, and he leaned against the chair the dead body had it's legs and wrist chained to, and crossed his arms. What exactly was it?
"Did they change things?" He wondered, and he looked up just as it became closer, because as it was, he had been so absorbed in his work that the signature had already made it's way to being close to begin with.
What he saw took him by surprise. Typically youma were less - well, handsome overall. They tended to be buglike or encrusted in shards or scales of some sort. This one however looked - well, very pettable.
Then again, one of Gev's weakspots was dogs. It was all in his names. To find one that wasn't a cat made him pray inwardly that maybe all sides were moving away from cat guardians and at long last would have dogs. Lots and lots and lots of dogs. He'd get 10.
Smiling, he stared at the youma because anything that looked like that had to be a youma and he could feel that sort of strange allure of the Rift's own kin about him. He spent time there. He knew that feeling. Knew it from his very own youma back when he had it as a partner.
Leaning against the chair still, he looked at the eviscerated DMCer. "Even the Rift has critics now." He said to the dead body, as if waiting for it to laugh. Looking up, and resisting the urge to bound over and pet him, he leaned his head just a little to rest atop the dead man's head. "No. I think you are missing the point of it. It's a work of art. Leto will know what it means. See, we have a thing now."
"Isn't that right." He said, letting his eyes drop to the dead man who he was resting his head upon. Gev reached under his chin to make the head bob up and down.
"Sorry, but if I knew a youma was coming, I would have kept him alive enough for you to rip out the starseed. Shame. I really don't like the idea of these things coming back one day." And he always felt good doggies deserved treats and this one looked like a very good dog.

Order members were cowards.
They lurked on the sidelines and pretended to be fighting for what they deemed the right side of things, and yet, in spite of that, they barely could lift a hand to do any of the dirty work that would possibly assist them in their goals. They were all talk and no play; all loud words and bragging, brash declarations, while none of them could actually be comparable to anyone within the Negaverse, let alone Wolfeite. None came remotely close to being...well, interesting.
For the most part.
But this was new; this was not something he had ever seen before, and it intrigued him, Wolfeite's eyes flickering over the bloody, gory mess in front of him without a trace of discomfort or disgust, even on what little of his face was visible above the mask.
"The Rift does not have any critics. I, however, am an exception," he said lightly. His gaze slid sideways towards the slumped, clearly dead man. "One of the Mirror senshi, is it? I can't feel any signature anymore, but their uniform suggests at much."
His voice was a low, rough thing, gravel in tone, in spite of the silken words. "Who's Leto?" Wolfeite asked, because it sounded like a name he should know, a name he needed to commit to memory so that he could pull it out later and remember it. "A thing that - if I'm guessing correctly - involves killing people on her side, is that it? Well, I can't say I'm averse to it."
Considering all he'd done, after all. Wolfeite's lips twitched underneath the mask.
"How considerate of you," he said, stepping a little closer, the shadows curling around his feet, flicking up at his ankles as though trying to drag him into their depths. "I do like starseeds, and this did look like a fun time. Shame that I missed it."
Wolfeite stopped a few feet away, arms loose at his sides, ears upright.
"Tell me, knight," he said. "What makes you interested in ripping apart a member of the Mirror senshi? I don't believe I've ever seen such a...display before."

He leaned against the chair, inspecting the blood on his gloves and shaking them off as they were rather soaked at this point. They fell to the ground with a wet heaviness and revealed even more red hands, the blood caked under his nails.
"Leto is the current Royal of the Dark Moon Court. Her and Remarque. Ares...well, I don't know what happened to her. Vanished into the Mirror Abyss I suppose. She never seemed the type to just let a position go, which seems distressing. Hopefully she doesn't find something and come back with it." He looked over at the youma with a sort of moving gaze that swam from out around him over to the negaverser before focusing on him.
"Only so much one knight can do after all. Can't really just pop a bunch of starseeds and become one of you for a power boost now can I."
"My interest is spite and revenge. They came after the Negaverse and a good many officers died while they were tortured under their flag. They were cowards and in doing that, they felt themselves above the Negaverse. They wanted information because they feared it, hide the officers because they didn't want to be found out, and yet strutted about after as if they were their allies. Like I'd just forget about."
He waved his hand out before he looked out into the darkness. "Most have. Forgotten. Dead or gone. I suppose no one in the Negaverse now knows about it and just smoozing elbow to elbow with them as if they were comrades. Brother's and sisters while all the while they would slit the throat of any one of you if given the chance."
Dropping his hand, he looked over at the dead man, tilting his own head to knock it gently against the dead man's. "I haven't forgotten. I won't forget. And I'll kill them all because of it. They took too much from me and those I loved. I'll split livers and play them into notes. I'll tear hearts and make a trail to the bodies. I'll leave limbs in trees and heads in bathroom sinks before the mirrors they love to use. I'll pour blood into sewer drains and macerate their bones with spinal fluid until it's a paste and paint the boardwalk with it. Anything to make it known to them that they are being hunted down once and for all."
His eyes narrowed at the youma. "And you? Do you side with them? Love them? Befriend them?"

Wolfeite did not have a great deal of experience with the Dark Mirrors, and did not personally care do. They were not really on his radar for factions that were problematic; Order was another story entirely, as well as those who were within the Negaverse itself who did not seem to do a damned thing to make the organization what it could be.
But a royal of the Dark Mirrors was an interesting concept. Wolfeite took note of this, his eyes narrowed a little, but not out of suspicion, watching as the man in front of him moved about, bloodstained gloves a vivid shade of red that Wolfeite approved of.
A brow rose. "And why," said Wolfeite slowly, voice tinged with amusement, "would an oh-so-pure member of Order - a Knight, even, not a youngling or a newbie - want to pull starseeds? You make it sound as though you're regretful for not being able to yank them at your leisure for power boosts."
From the way the knight was speaking, he was either a sympathizer for the Negaverse or perhaps a former one himself. Wolfeite was leaning towards the latter, his head cocked to one side, the mask over the lower half of his face concealing much of his expression, though the black and gold eyes were sparking with interest as they surveyed the man.
This was so far out of the norm for any other Order member he had ever met before. It would possibly have been alarming, had he been discovered by any other person other than Wolfeite, who had torn his fair share of livers out as it was.
He took a few steps forward, ears still upright, and reached out a gloved hand, the fingers of which were torn so that claws extended outwards through the ripped fabric. Wolfeite slid them down the arm of the dead man, then lifted his hand again, tinged in red blood that dripped lazily down the dark fur covering his skin.
"Fascinating," he murmured, voice a low growl. Wolfeite's adrenaline was pulsing. "As to which I side with, the answer is, no. I care very little for the meager, unimpressive creatures of the Dark Mirrors. They are hypocrites and liars; they like to think, as most of Order does, that they are worthwhile, when really, it's the opposite."
He turned slowly, watching the knight, and his hand rose again. Bloody fingers pressed against the knight's cheek and dragged down, smearing the blood already there and leaving behind two long finger marks of scarlet before Wolfeite's hand fell away again.
"You, however, intrigue me. I've never seen an Order member so determined before."

"Come off it. Order. Chaos. If we go by names you would think every nega officer is chewing ribcages under a bridge while Order are angelic police officers shimmering gold. You can find criminals and would-be saints on either side. The senshi had a hand in the torturing of the Negaverse. It wouldn't be a war if order wasn't willing to kill occasionally. I recruited some before to attack the Dark Moon Court. The murderous intent is there."
"The difference is what flag and general you swear yourself to. Not the purity of the person. What pure person would last in a war? Martyrs only make for tripping hazards.
"Starseeds stop the existence of a person. Despite killing him, he will be returned to the Cauldron and have another chance to make mistakes. If I could take the starseed, I could ensure they never return instead of just buying time." He sighed at that. "It's also satisfying. To know the job is done. Yanking their essence and crushing it. It has a finality."
"Even if I kill Leto and Remaque, without taking their starseed I'm not destroying them completely." And that was an issue he hadn't figured a solution to yet.
He watched at the youma touched the dead dmcer before reaching out and running his claws down his boyish face. The blood didn't bother him, but touching meant that it was acceptable and an unspoken permission. It allowed Gev to do the one thing he was dying to do.
He leaned up as best he could, reached up, and petted him. "I have seen a lot of youma but not one like you."

He barked out a laugh that was muffled by the mask over his mouth, though the harsh, rasping growl of it was still clearly evident. "True, perhaps," said Wolfeite, his eyes glinting. "True. It's not as if the Negaverse can be held up to the same standards they proclaim to cherish so dearly."
There was so much sarcasm dripping from the last word that it was almost tangible, a visible thing. Wolfeite's gaze flickered towards the dead man again before it slid sideways back to the knight, the pristine white uniform stained scarlet, blood spattering the ground around his feet. There was, it seemed, no shame in his actions, no hesitance, no remorse. He had killed the other without a second thought - and he had relished in it, had basked in it.
Wolfeite could not say any of the Negaverse had ever gotten that far, mostly because they were all pathetic. It was intriguing.
"Starseeds are the very essence of life," he said lightly, grinning maniacally behind the mask, a feral and sharp thing. "They make for a delicious snack, I'll tell you that. And by ingesting them, I can make sure that they never...ever...come to life again."
His head cocked to one side, wild hair tangled over his narrow shoulders.
"It's a thrill. It's what I hunger for."
Adrenaline pulsed in his veins. Wolfeite had a sudden and strong desire to dig his claws into the knight's throat, to tear the skin from his face and rip the limbs from his body. The smell of the blood was a potent and heady rush to his heart, which was beating fast in spite of his calm, outward facade. He knew how to handle himself. He knew how to play this game.
The knight looked very good with blood on his face. Better than the stark whiteness of Order, after all.
He did not, however, enjoy the touch to his head, the brush of fingers against his ears. They flattened immediately, instinctively back against his head of wild dark hair, and he resisted a strong urge to jerk his head away sharply, though his golden eyes in their black pits flashed dangerously.
"There is," he hissed, in a low voice, but tamped down on it with a forced calm. "No one like me."

He jerked his hand back, before slowly curling his fingerd and bring the hand to his chest. Visibly hurt and saddened by the rejection, he looked away to the dead man dripping onto the pavement.
"I miss the taste." He admitted, voice lacking the volume from before as he tried to regroup from Wolfeite's reaction.
His fur feels soft but a bit..course. Prickly in places.
He regarded the body one last time. "Staying here too long coukd get you in trouble. They might associate you with a traitor and going against the alliance." He turned to start walking.
"Do you get lonely being the only one?" He asked.

There were many things that Wolfeite disliked, but tolerated for the sake of obtaining something - whether it be information, or starseeds, or sex, or whatever the case may have been. There were even less things which he loathed and did not tolerate at all; and the touch to his head was so reminiscent briefly of both Labyrinthite and Aue that he felt a pulse of pure rage, a flash of bright gold across the black of his eyes, his heart pounding against his ribcage.
"The taste of starseeds?" said Wolfeite, after a moment, and his voice was thick with an emotion he was swallowing down, pushing past the inarticulate hatred and the fury and the undeniable things that came along with those. "Well, now, there's a way to fix that. You could always come back to the right side."
It was said almost sarcastically. Wolfeite held no love for most of the Negaverse. He did what he wanted, when he wanted. He did not have to answer to the pointless and ridiculous tyranny of a General anymore; he did not have to deal with any of their bullshit.
"They can believe what they want," he said carelessly. "I see no reason to fall all over myself trying to hide what it is I am and what I do."
His gaze flickered momentarily, and beneath the mask, it was a bright, feral, sharp grin.
"No. Do you?"

He stared back. "I am surrounded by senshi and knights. Those with delusions of freedom and without order or direction. Who don't know about discipline and sacrifice. I am alone." He admitted.
"I left everything I knew." He said, looking to the animal eyes of the other. The golden colors were startling and mesmerizing all at the same time.
"Do you live in the Rift? In the villages?" He asked. kuropeco I forgot this rp wasn't tagged so I'm digging it up and dusting it off.
