The night of destiny city was not kind when the veil of night came down. The muggy heat made hair stick to sweat slick skin, and the buzz and hum of insecsts were even drowned out by the echo of machine and men. Nature was locked in boxes, packed away by picket fences and black roads. It was there, in the tamed wild of nature, of the city park that Alum took his time to indulge in his cause. Starseed removal was such a tedious business. Luring people away or chasing them to more secluded locations to avoid any unneeded interruptions. What use was a bullet if it was lodged in his back? Police could prove far more trouble then they were worth. Dragging the soon to be corpse of the woman he'd just liberated of her soul Alum was making an small attempt at hiding the evidence. She'd be found by dawn, but by then he'd have long left. A simple tune on his tongue, sung behind closed lips. The senshi of the abyss paid no mind to what lingered, only on the fact his superiors would be pleased with his productivity.

Patrolling was always at the bottom of Icarus's priority list. The only time it wasn't was when his kid insisted that she was going to go out and then, well the burly Russian was quick to tag a long.
Which, after the last major incident, he felt like he couldn't be blamed.
He didn't have a lot of people he cared about but Mory, and Spacewatch by proxy, was on his list and that meant he was going to make sure that she was safe. Well, safe enough.
He had been on his way towards a meet up after a post-emergency job he'd picked up for a bit of extra cash since rent was due in two weeks, when he caught sight of something...odd and against his better judgement, he shifted his direction towards the boy dragging a body.

That back of the mind itch that you couldn't scratch came and Alum huffed in aggitation. He rather didn't want to be bothered by someone being 'good' even when they were the one's who often wanted to beat him up. Never mind he antagonized or like right now, was trying to move a body.
Dropping the leg he'd been using as a means of moving said body, the corrupt pouted when it proved to be a a senshi who wasn't some kid or obvious push over. This meant he might have to put more effort into it. Whatever 'it' would be.
"Hiiiii." He wiggled his fingers at the man. "You need something?" Hopefully he'd just give him the lecture then move on. Not like he'd give up the starseed anytime soon.

If it were possible for Icarus to wear a more scowly expression then he was doing exactly that when his brows furrowed and he practically glared at the corrupt.
"The ******** are you doing?" He asked in that so-sweetly-gruff manner of his.
The super senshi stepped forward, the warning bells in his head going off as he got closer to whatever the ******** that kid was and when he glanced away, for a split second, he could tell that the body was non-responsive.
That was...bad...probably and he was trying to weigh how much he cared.
"Whatever you took from them, put it back," he demanded, in a voice that definitely said or else

Alum groaned. So it was going to be one of those encounters. Where a senshi tried to be all 'righteous' and some such nonsense. Really, had they no grasp of their own parasitic nature? That they were not protectors but interlopers? Really, it was just obscene. "Isn't it obvious?" His hand flicked towards the cooling body- a corpse really, empty of life. "I took what is only mine by right. Survival of the fittest, not to mention, it's for a higher purpose. They should feel honored really, to become something greater than they were." A grin split across his face, "I am always willing to take a volunteer, or, are you going to try and play at hero and take back what is not yours to give?"

"Yours?" Icarus couldn't keep the disbelief out of his voice.
The guy had to be ******** psycho if he thought he had the right to people's goddamn lives. "You're ******** kidding right?"
Sure, Icarus didn't care much for individuals, but that didn't mean that he thought people could just...kill other people and think they wouldn't be held accountable. What kind of messed up bullshit was that?
"Whatever you took, you're putting it back."
Icarus decided that the boy in purples and blacks was out of his goddamned mind and he wouldn't be allowed to continue.
He decided to announce this, with his fist.

Yes his, did this senshi not understand the concept of finders-keepers? It was basic really, and besides, wasn't this a war> To the victor go the spoils and all that nonsense. "Do I look to be joking? I've a job to do after all." As if he'd put back the starseed- he had to make good on his reputation for delivery. Plus, losing to some white moon was bound to get him scolded. Alum didn't have long to think of an insult to the other man before he was charged- a fist landing on his jaw and sending him sprawling to the ground. Yelping and scrambling away to avoid another hit, the senshi of the abyss looked at his agressor and hissed in anger. "Fall."nuxaz Targeting a single person, Apollo makes eye contact with their target, and puts them into a state of sensory deprivation/hallucination. It can be used twice in battle and last 30 seconds. In this state the target cannot feel, see, hear, taste, touch anything- their mind is active, and they hallucinate that which is their darkest fears. They can still move, attack/lash out and talk, but they cannot infer anything happening around or to them.

Icarus didn't think about the fact that the other dude likely had magic when no weapon was pulled out of wherever the ******** magical sailor scouts kept their s**t. His experience with people like the dude before him were scrabbles with things thrown and weapons poppin' out of nowhere.
It didn't have to do with magic.

The stupid ******** caught his eye and next thing he knew, he couldn't see or hear anything.
"The ******** did you do?" He said-- or thought he said, arms up to protect his chest as best he could. Occasionally he'd lash out.
He turned in a full circle, his mind playing tricks on him and he thought--
"солнышко?" No, it couldn't be her.
Wait..
Wait--
When she turned she was reaching for him and-- were there ******** cracks in her chest and forehead? "солнышко!"

Alum wasn't sure to linger or go. But seeing the man react was so deliciously terrible. Watching them slowly realize what the magic did was so... fulfilling. All rightly deserved of course. Grinning as the man lost his senses and found them replaced with nightmares, Alum listened to the word. Some kind of other language? "How odd? You are from another nation." The senshi neared, reaching out to shove at the other man, finding the whole thing amusing. "It's your fate you know. I show what will happen. Reality. The future." All lies, but worth telling.

He felt like everything was rushing back to him with enough force that were he a weaker man, he would have collapsed to the ground. His vision came back in a spotty manner and everything was too loud in his ears.
Spacewatch's image had vanished from before him but Icarus couldn't remember how to breathe, his chest was tight and his heart a jackhammer in his chest.
When he remembered how to breathe enough to speak he said, "Хуй тебе!"
Still, he was disoriented, unable to shake the haunting images of his kid looking corrupted, and when he was shoved he stumbled backwards with a grunt. His entire body was tense and the thought long and hard about what he was going to do.
And by that, he lunged at the other guy.

He should have run, let the man wallow in his fear, but Alum was too enthralled with watching how his magic worked, how it made his enemies react. So he stayed too long, and Icarus broke free of the spell. The curse was obviouslt meant to be insulting, but the corrupt howled with twisted laughter. "You can't escape it." He sneered. Whatever the man saw shook him, not it was just a matter of twisting that knife deeper. "Whatever you saw in the abyss is coming, and nothing will stop it." Pushed back Alum landed on his back, scrambling up, laughing madly all the while.

More Russian spilled from his mouth, a mix of curses and other angrily spat things. His knees stung, scraped from the way they'd hit the ground when he'd lunged and while the b*****d had fallen, he'd fallen away and Icarus wasn't quick enough to grab a hold of him and punch his lights out.
Teeth slid across each other in an angry grind, nostrils flaring while the rest of his body remained coiled and tense, ready to snap and spring if he had the chance but...
that magic...
When he got to his feel, silver eyes were dark, the metallic color of his irises barley a sliver among the angry black. He wanted to keep pushing, to force the a*****e to reconsider his manic way but there was those images burned into his memory, flashing at him and he could feel bile from his stomach threatening to crawl up his throat. <******** the person on the ground, he had someone at home to check on.
So he turned on his heel and fled.
