“Okeanos (Ωκεανός): A Greek name, meaning “ocean.” In mythology, this is the name of a Titan, son of Uranus and Gaia, the personification of the world-ocean once believed to encircle the world. ”

Tribe: The Okeanos | Tribe Thread Tribe's Owner(s): ~Spazzy_the_Wolfie~
Tribe Summary: Give us a brief summary of your tribe, one paragraph max. This will be included in the shop's list of official tribes, to give users the ability to quickly browse tribes and get a basic idea of what each one is like.
Inspiration: Hunting, basic survival, and unity.
History: Info goes here. The history of the tribe - past events, as well as the current state of affairs. Beliefs & Culture:
The tribe as a whole usually keeps a neutral stance on things, never out causing trouble or stirring up drama. They have everything they could ever need already at their disposal, so why put things at risk? THIS TRIBE LOVES HUNTING. I don’t think you understand how much they love hunting. Their entire... everything revolves around hunting. Despite their home being by the ocean, they don’t really take from it due to the lush grasslands that make up their territory. Fish? Crabs? Not really on the menu. Deer? Elk? Rabbits? Pheasants? Heck yeah. You’ll rarely ever find the tribe munching on seafood. The Okeanos is fairly secluded from other tribes. Finding their home base by the ocean is hard enough for outsiders. But finding the tribe when they’re out hunting in the grasslands? Nope, forget it. It would be like an infinite game of “Where's Waldo the Okeanos.”
Rules & Laws:
Allowed Species: All species accepted. Modidaevas (new members and visitors) are carefully watched though! - Modidaevas: You won’t find too many ‘daevas in the Okeanos. Why? Flames in a field of grass = not a very good idea. The tribe doesn't hate ‘daevas or discriminate against them, but Lioumere doesn’t want to put the tribe’s hunting grounds at risk. So, because of this, she’s usually very hesitant when ‘daevas ask to join. However, being fairly young and easy-going, Lioumere can be swayed. If you’re serious about becoming a member of the Okeanos and show her that you can control your flames, she’ll allow you to join the ranks of the tribe. Ideal Members: As long as you aren't a mass murderer, bloodthirsty killer, or extremely chaotic fox, you’ll probably be okay.
Religion: Info goes here. The religious beliefs (if any) of the tribe. Hierarchy: Info goes here. All of the ranks used within the tribe. Territory: Located out in a huge grassland. When I say huge, I mean huge. Like... an ocean of grass. It just stretches on and on and on for miles. South of all that grass is a pretty large stretch of beach, the only other area the tribe has claimed as their own. Anything and anyone that can’t be taken with them during their travels through the grasslands stays there. Food, medicinal herbs, precious items, parents with BCRs, extremely young kits, etc. Important things stay at home to ensure their safety. The strip of beach is their permanent home and the grasslands more of a hunting ground/territory that they’ve claimed. TL;DR: The beach is their house and the colossal area of grassland is their backyard. Allies & Enemies (if any): Info goes here. Does the tribe have any allies or enemies yet? Modeities of the Tribe: Arcas ('Deity of Hunting), ??? ('Deity of Unity) Tribe Modification:Modification. This should be one unique symbol used to mark all members of the tribe, in the form of a tattoo, piercing, jewelry, item, etc. If you have additional info regarding your tribe mod, please put it in the spoilers below.
Additional tribe mod info goes here. Specific coloring, placement, color to avoid, etc.
maybe i'll make a spotify playlist or something hrrrm...

Rules are subject to change!
These are just your basic rules. More in-depth info and rules for specific topics (example: hunting) can be found in the other posts! ● Follow the shop rules and Gaia ToS.
● Be respectful of other people. Be nice, be respectful, don’t go picking fights. We’re all adults/teenagers here, so let's act like ‘em, alright?
● No drama. Leave all OOC drama at the front door and don’t bring it into RP or make it public, that just... stirs up more drama. If you need to handle it, do it privately, via PM or messenger or something.
● When working, use the buddy system! Tribe members should never hunt or go out alone. Ignoring the Leader, Peace Keepers, Medics, and Scouts, it’s rare to see tribe members working alone. Work in pairs or form an even larger group to get things done more efficiently.
●The only ones allowed to go outside the tribe lands without asking first are the Leader, Peace Keepers, and the Scout Division. The rest of the tribe members need to check in with Lioumere before trying to leave Okeanos territory. The Leader is pretty much guaranteed to answer with “lolno” if you’re planning on going out alone. Take a buddy with you, have a family member meet up near the tribe border, etc. Don’t get the wrong idea! Lioumere trusts you, but she doesn’t want to lose anyone out in the wild and be forced to send out search parties. Your foxes can take trips away from the tribe, as long as you send me a message about it or have your character ask permission ICly!
● When it comes to romance it’s highly advised that you keep everything within the tribe. If you take a mate, they should be in the tribe with you. If you and said mate have kits, they should stay in the tribe until adulthood. See the F.A.Q. for info on breedings and relationships.
All of the shop’s RP rules can be found here! ● Please try to be literate when it comes to your RP posts. No chatspeak/l33t/n00b/whatever (It’s totally fine OOCly, I do lowercaps myself all the time lmao). Proper grammar and spelling are wonderful. Spell-check is your friend!
● Try to keep one liners to a minimum.
● No godmoding, powerplaying, metagaming, etc. It’s not cool, and it makes RP really boring. Just don’t do it.
● Keep OOC conversations to a minimum.
● Talk in (), [], {} <> or something similar when you’re OOC.
● Please be realistic. Remember, despite all of the ~magical B/C shop stuff~, Modifoxes are still considered animals. They can’t communicate with humans, they can’t start fires (excluding those with natural abilities), etc. If it requires opposable thumbs, then they probably can’t do it.

Questions are added as they’re asked! Feel free to ask the tribe owner, ~Spazzy_the_Wolfie~, anything via PM/Discord/etc.
So wait, is my fox not allowed to be involved in a relationship with outsiders? ● They technically can, but the Leader highly disapproves of it. With how damn big and isolated the tribe is, Lioumere personally feels that there isn’t much time for a fox to go off and meet up on a regular basis with a mate who resides outside of the Okeanos lands. Not being able to see your mate enough usually results in break-ups, and she doesn’t want that for her poor tribe members. If a solid case is presented to the Leader by the potential couple (she needs to talk to both foxes involved, no exceptions), then she’ll probably let them try. If things become too much of a distraction, Lioumere might sit your fox down and, after some serious discussion, be forced to ask your fox to leave Okeanos permanently. When it comes down to it, she would rather have your fox tribeless and happy with their mate than stuck in a tribe where they’re heartbroken and miserable.
TL;DR: I’ll approve it OOCly, but Lioumere will be very iffy about it ICly, at least until the couple can prove they have a healthy relationship. Plotting will be required for these types of incidents, and they’ll be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Alright, but what if my fox wants to be involved with a fox from another tribe? ● Honestly? It depends on how far away the tribe is, and how long it takes to travel back and forth. The Okeanos is pretty isolated from most tribes, excluding the disbanded Bateau Tribe islands. Much like tribe/non-tribe relationships, a solid case needs to be presented to the Leader by the potential couple (she needs to talk to both foxes involved, no exceptions). If the tribe in question is one of Okeanos’ allies, then Lioumere may actually be swayed easier.
You covered lifematings already, but what’s the tribe’s view on flings/crackbreedings/mysterybreedings? ● It depends on the case! The Leader’s usually pretty forgiving when it comes to flings (if they have more than, say... 2 or 3 flings without talking to her, then Lioumere will be a little concerned...). When unexpected children come into the situation, Lioumere will simply has a stern, brief chat with the parents to discuss things before letting them decide where and how the kits are going to be raised, and all of those other little details (Lioumere prefers to have kits raised with the Okeanos, but it's ultimately the parent’s decision). If one of the tribe members is suddenly ditched by their fling partner and left with some children, then Lioumere will take some time to help them figure things out and, if needed, personally arrange for one of the tribe’s Carers to assist them. You never have to deal with things alone in the Okeanos.
Violent and chaotic foxes can’t join. Totally understandable! But what if a fox like that is born into the tribe? What happens then? ● Once the tribe starts to see that sort of personality developing, Lioumere will sit your fox down when they’re finally an adult and, after some serious discussion, ask your fox to leave Okeanos permanently. It doesn’t matter if family or friends try to vouch for the fox in question, they must leave if they’re violent, chaotic, and pose a potential threat to others. If they refuse to leave, Lioumere and the Peace Keepers will chase them out.
A question will go here? ● And an answer will go here!

something about lioumere’s ancestors finding okeanos lands place in their travels (lioumere’s parents and all the rest were never elders, simply regular foxes). another something about them makin’ it their home (they probably lived near the sea all their lives and got sick of eating fish and chips one day and went out looking for a new place that served steak dinners oh my god i’m horrible at this)
another something something about other foxes coming and going over the years (because the hunting is good in the grasslands, aww yis). other something something stuff there’s probably more stuff that happened
lioumere, soon after growing up, goes “lolwait... why don't we have a tribe set up here? THIS PLACE IS PERFECT FOR A TRIBE.” she comes from an extremely smart family ok shush shh
stuff about forming the test tribe and making friends and stuff
SOME BIG DRAMA this will happen a bit after the tribe - hopefully! - becomes official oh my god lioumere learn how to handle a tribe
MORE DRAMA THAT ENDS HAPPILY i can’t tell you guys yet ok it should be a pretty fun plot tho

This is the area surrounding the tribe.
Click the spoiler below to view information for each location!
↣Special Note: Camps are small sections of land staked out by the Okeanos outside of their actual tribe territory. The camps are usually pretty easy to locate, a decently sized “O” marking a few of the nearby trees and rocks. The marks are typically made by scratching, or in more difficult cases, marking the object with a lot of natural dye. No tents or campfires or anything like that, obviously, but there’s usually two or three nice dens/sleeping spots for tribe members to use. There are typically small stashes of medicinal herbs hidden at these camps. There is no food, however, but hunting should be easy around each camp. The camp spots were picked for a good reason, after all!
The Grasslands (Owned by the Okeanos): ● all da grass
The Woodlands: ● The dense woodlands far to the north, past the grasslands. There’s probably some good game hiding in there... but, uh, the tribe wouldn’t know, since they mainly stick to the grasslands for hunting. The Okeanos haven’t explored it very much yet! I SMELL A FUTURE FIELD TRIP FOR THE TRIBE
The Marshlands: ● The marshlands far to the east, past the grasslands. The Leader has traveled through the area just a little during her life, never really stopping to properly explore or investigate things. From what she’s gathered, she... er, doesn’t like it much upon first glance. Lots of mud and swampy water. The Okeanos haven’t explored it very much yet! I SMELL A FUTURE FIELD TRIP FOR THE TRIBE
The Dead Woods: ● The dead woodlands far to the west, past the grasslands. During Lioumere’s early childhood, way back when her family had first stumbled upon the grasslands and the surrounding areas, it used to be a rather nice stretch of woods, lush and filled with wildlife. Lioumere was much too young to remember specific details about what happened, but she does recall that a wildfire of some sort killed most of the life there and wiped out the foliage. The Okeanos haven’t explored it very much yet! I SMELL A FUTURE FIELD TRIP FOR THE TRIBE
The Beach (Owned by the Okeanos): ● this is a really big beach uhhh
The River (Water Source #1): ● It’s technically multiple rivers, but the tribe just calls it the River, since it’s the only one around. This is also the primary water source for the Okeanos!
Seaside Lake (Water Source #2): ● It’s a lake. By the seaside. Lioumere and her folks weren’t very creative when it came to names. The water isn’t... the tastiest, but it’s definitely drinkable. This serves mostly as a back-up water source for those rare tribe emergencies, when the River isn’t accessible or usable.
Unnamed Sea: ● This thing needs an actual name someday lmao... This is the sea separating the Okeanos from the old Bateau Tribe islands!
And this is the tribe’s actual territory.
Click the spoiler below to view information for each location!
★ Home Base: ● The foxes have made a home out of a fairly large chunk of stone by the ocean, commonly referred to as Home Base. The insides have slowly been shaped and worn away by the sea over time, leaving a nice area for the tribe to occupy. There’s plenty of space! When you enter Home Base, you’re greeted with a large, open area that serves as a sleeping place for a majority of the tribe. There are also smaller little pockets in the surrounding walls which serve as more “private rooms,” usually for couples and families, or individuals who just want some privacy; some are used temporarily, some are permanently occupied. Unless the Okeanos experiences a sudden population boom, there are plenty to go around. At the very back of the cave is another pocket in the wall, much larger than the rest, which serves as the Leader’s private room. The the floor of Home Base is, like the rest of the beach, primarily sand. However, the farther back you go, the wetter the sand gets and the sparser it gets, revealing smooth stone underneath. This makes Home Base a pretty good spot to chill out on hot days!
✗ Tribe Cache: ● This hasn’t been created ICly yet, but it will be in the future when the Okeanos gains more tribe members!
✗ Leader's Spot: ● A quiet, secluded little patch of the beach that Lioumere often goes to when she wants to ponder things. Lioumere has stated multiple times that it’s not off limits or an area she’s claimed, but most of the tribe members stay away from it, leaving it just for her and whomever she invites to go with her. The Elder deserves a private place of their own, after all.
⋅⋅⋅ The Edge: ● A slope that runs down the length of the beach, serving as the dividing line between the beach and the beginning of the grasslands. The grasslands are higher, and the beach is just a bit lower. It’s nice and breezy up here most of the time due to the slightly elevated height, making it another good spot to hang out and relax. Due to the fact that it’s higher ground, you can usually get a killer view of the sunrise and sunset. It’s a pretty romantic spot!

For the Okeanos, everything revolves around one thing: survival. Navigating, tracking, quickly identifying animals and animals, hunting; this tribe covers it all. As soon as they become part of the tribe, Greenhorns (newer members of the tribe, both kits and adults) are taken under the wing of an experienced member to gain that basic survival knowledge and develop a certain set of skills until they finally fall into their permanent rank - Hunter, Gatherer, Medic, Carer, etc. If someone ends up not wanting any rank in particular, they can just settle into the Homebody rank.
The tribe as a whole usually keeps a neutral stance on things, never out causing trouble or stirring up drama. They have everything they could ever need already at their disposal, so why put things at risk? Most characters are accepted into the tribe’s ranks and all species are allowed, but they know when to draw the line: foxes who are clearly violent or dangerous are forbidden. Watchful eyes are always kept on any foxes in or around their territory, with members of the tribe keeping an eye on outsiders until they’re completely out of sight and well beyond Okeanos’ territory! Strangers with a nice demeanor are welcome to rest in their lands for a few days (usually greeted and escorted by the tribe Leader herself), but dangerous characters are chased off as soon as command is given.
Hunting is an essential part of survival, and the tribe takes it very seriously. The Okeanos have a number of rules and restrictions in place to ensure that things remain balanced and peaceful within their territory, and any rule-breakers or poachers are swiftly dealt with by the tribe’s Leader.
The Okeanos have chosen to primarily worship one being: Arcas, the Modeity of Hunting. In order to show appreciation and keep themselves in Arcas’ good graces, members of the tribe are expected to leave behind pieces of their meals in offering. Hearts, livers, kidneys, heads - anything that would be considered “the best bits.” By doing so, it’s believed that Arcas will bless your future hunts and keep the tribe lands bountiful. ???, the Modeity of Unity, is also worshiped by some! Unity is the key to survival in large groups. Failure to work together, especially in lands like the Okeanos, could easily cause the tribe to fall apart and result in foxes becoming lost, injured... or worse. Much like Arcas, offerings are sometimes left for -insert name of Modeity of Unity-. Most of the time, making an effort to work together and trying your hardest to get along with your fellow tribe members is enough to please this Modeity, or so the members of the Okeanos believe.
Hunting Restrictions: There are serious repercussions if a tribe member goes after certain creatures, especially when it comes to domestic animals. As tasty as cows and sheep are, they’re owned by humans, and their human owners won’t hesitate to take action against anything that kills their livestock. Unless you’re put in a situation where your hand is forced (keep in mind that bumping into them is extremely rare), avoid attacking and killing those types of creatures at all costs. Going after anything dangerous poses a threat to both yourself and the rest of the tribe. Stealing kills from other predators is fine if you’re careful about it, but a member of the tribe should never steal from humans, ever.
●Prey: Deer, elk, wild boar, rabbits, hares, mice, weasels, badgers, pheasants, songbirds, crows, ravens. (crows and ravens aren’t really meant to be eaten, since they serve as scavengers and assist the hunters regularly, but if you’re really hungry, feel free...?) ●Predators (Risky, usually leads to an injury of some sort): Coyotes, wolves, bears, bobcats, cougars, snakes. ●Forbidden: Livestock (cows, sheep, horses, etc.), domestic animals (dogs, cats, etc.), humans.
Seafood: Look. Listen. I... don’t want to make a bunch of detailed lists, so as far as the wildlife in the lake, beach, river, etc. goes, here’s the general guideline: as long as the creature is realistic, you should be good to go. Fish, crabs, eels, turtles, frogs, etc. NO HUNTING WILD KRAKENS OR SHARKS LMAO. Remember, the Okeanos eat seafood very rarely!
Hunting and Fishing via RNG: If you feel like mixing things up a bit in your RPs, you can RNG things! You don't have to use these exact numbers, but it’s usually what I do when I RP. I figured it might be helpful for some people.
●How to: RNG 1 - 3. 1 = hit, 2 = miss, 3 = hit/miss (you decide) + an injury to your pet. The riskier the animal, the more severe the injury is!
Posted: Fri Feb 26, 2021 12:49 am
The Okeanos aren’t a particularly religious group, but there are some common practices that tribe members follow on a regular basis to ensure that they remain in the Modeities' good graces!
●Arcas: Modeity of Hunting ●???: Modeity of Unity
NO IDEA ABOUT HOLIDAYS AND EVENTS YET LOL. maybe, like... spring is “easing back into work” time. early summer is rest time, less work. late summer/fall is workworkwork time, busiest time of the year, lots of big hunts. winter is major rest time, much less traveling than usual.

↣Special Note: Allowed to travel by themselves, and can go outside of the tribe’s territory.
The Elder. The Ruler. The Boss. Here in Okeanos, this fox is called the Leader. All problems are presented to them and all final decisions are made by them. They’re also the only one who can truly pray to the Modeities and make contact with them. When addressing them properly, they’re referred to as either “Leader of Okeanos.” The traditional “Elder” term isn’t really used in the Okeanos. When speaking casually, just using “Leader” is alright!

↣Special Note: Allowed to travel by themselves, and can go outside of the tribe’s territory.
These two - as there are only ever two Peace Keepers at a time - ensure that Home Base is safe and sound while the Leader and other tribe members are away. The Leader puts a lot of trust in these two foxes, personally hand picking them to be in charge while they’re away from the Okeanos. These two are expected to keep a good eye on things, but the only time they’re ever allowed to step in is if things get chaotic and tribe members start fighting amongst one another. If things end up going south, one Peace Keeper stays at Home Base while the other seeks out the Leader so they can get things back in order. Peace Keepers are experienced members of the tribe and, at one point, probably held different positions in the tribe before being recruited for this special rank.
Availability: Unavailable at the moment. (1/1)
Medics in the Okeanos are actually quite few in number, due to most of the tribe members having basic survival know-how. The few that they do have, however, are very good at their craft. Hunting accidents and injuries received out in the grasslands happen on an almost daily basis, so having a Medic or two that’s easily accessible once you arrive back at home is really nice! Medics of the Okeanos don't actually travel to their patients unless it’s absolutely necessary, instead residing within the private caverns of Home Base. Home Base is never without at least one Medic present. They rarely ever use their magic skills, preferring to only use two minor types of magic: sparks (to start up cooking fires) and healing (to help further a healing process, usually on severe, scarring wounds).
Availability: Open. (1/2)
Ah, the Hunters. One of the Okeanos’ most cherished ranks. Hunting is a major thing for the Okeanos, so Hunters make up the bulk of the tribe’s numbers! These foxes work together on a daily basis and follow direct orders from the Leader during major hunts. Teamwork is key. If you're a fox who can’t co-operate and listen, what the hell are you even doing here? Hunters are expected to help each other out in the field and remain friendly (or, in some cases, simply polite) towards each other at all times.
Availability: Open. (0/2)
Gatherers have two tasks they can pick here in the Okeanos. They can either tag along with a hunting party of their choice and help bring kills back home, or choose to weave through the grasslands and fetch herbs and other assorted things for the tribe. The Gatherers of Okeanos usually work with two or more fellow Gatherers!
Availability: Unavailable at the moment. (1/2)
↣Special Note: Allowed to travel by themselves, and can go outside of the tribe’s territory.
The Scout Division of the tribe consists of some highly skilled individuals. These foxes have some of the best navigational skills in the tribe, having to go through miles and miles of grassland and make their way through all of the other surrounding areas. Uunlike other tribes, the Okeanos has two different ranks which make up their Scout Division: Sentinels and Messengers.
The Sentinels serve as the tribe’s watchful eyes, making sure that the borders are safe and that no trespassers manage to enter Okeanos’ lands without notice. If they aren’t busy patrolling, they also seek out local herds for the tribe, alerting the Hunters and telling them where to head (sometimes even showing them) before returning to their usual patrolling.

↣Special Note: Allowed to travel by themselves. However, they can only go off on their own if they're retrieving a kit or BCR that’s managed to slip out of sight.
Carers, as their title hints at, are the caretakers of the Okeanos’ kits. They offer a helping hand to all of the local parents, entertaining the kits when their parents need to run off to fulfill their usual duties. Some of the Carers even tag along with foxes of other ranks to help them keep an eye on their Greenhorns, especially when the Greenhorns are younger. Sometimes you need another hand around to help round up the youngsters and make them sit still for a lesson on hunting or gathering!

↣Special Note: This is the default “Tribe Member” rank for the Okeanos.
Your standard tribe member. They mostly concentrate on things around Home Base: storing supplies away, creating and giving tribe members their modifications, keeping things nice and tidy, and making sure everything is in order around the beach. In addition, Homebodies help out other ranks in the Okeanos, albeit temporarily. For example, if a Gatherer needed someone to help bring a large amount of fruits and herbs home and there weren’t any fellow Gatherers around, they could rush back to Home Base to recruit a Homebody or two to lend a hand.
Alongside foxes, Tribe Guardians also automatically fall into this rank. They’re super big and super helpful!
Availability: Unavailable at the moment. (0/Unlimited)
↣Special Note: So, Greenhorns are pretty unique. This is more of an IC rank! ICly, all pets in the Okeanos are required to be Greenhorns before they select an actual rank. If you want, you can compare it to: schooling, on the job training, an initiation, etc. OOCly, your pet will never actually have this rank on their cert. The default “Tribe Member” rank for the Okeanos is “Homebody.” Like any other tribe, pets can be posted for certing and go straight to Hunter, Gatherer, Medic, Carer, etc. The Greenhorn rank is held by both kits and adults!
When they become part of the tribe (OOCly, when a fox joins the tribe or a kit emerges from it’s BCR) and show interest in a certain rank, newer members are taken under the wing of an experienced member to gain what the tribe considers “survival basics” and hone a few specific skills until they finally take on their permanent rank in the tribe: Hunter, Gatherer, Medic, Carer, etc. If someone goes through this training and it turns out that they don’t want any rank in particular, then they’re allowed to keep the Homebody rank.
To break down how all of this works, here’s an example: Your pet joins the Okeanos. They’re officially certed, with “Homebody” as the rank on their cert. You then decide that they’re best suited to be a Hunter.
ICly, an official Hunter of the tribe (a pet with "Hunter" on their cert) will work with a fox that wants to hone their skills. On the tribe’s member list, that fox-in-training will be listed as “Greenhorn (Hunter).” The Greenhorn tags along with the Hunter on a daily basis, lending a hand when told and gaining the skills they need to be absolutely awesome at hunting. This continues until the Hunter finally goes “Okay, I think my work here is done! I've taught you all I can.” The Greenhorn then becomes an official Hunter and has their cert updated!
Things You'll Learn:
●Medic: Information about the local plants (their properties, what you can make from them, unusual recipes, etc.), how to create basic poultices, and how to fix up more serious injuries (broken bones, deep wounds, etc.). ●Hunter: How to locate prey, how to properly stalk, how to take most animals down, and how to properly butcher and skin a kill. ●Gatherer: Information about the local foods and plants (plant knowledge similar to a Medic’s, but not as extreme), how to locate hunting trails, and how to keep an eye out for things of interest (shiny and valuable things). ●Scout Division: How to navigate both easy and difficult terrains, how to locate water sources, universal signals (barks, whistles, light signals, etc.), and how to find your way around, how to locate herds. ●Carer: how... to.. take care of the tiny foxes... I'll word this nicely later lmfao. WHAT DO U LEARN FROM A CARER. HOW BABYSITTING WORKS? HOW 2 PARENT??? HOW DO U WORD THIS.

Before submitting a fox to join the Okeanos, please be sure to read all of the info on the first page and glance at the major points below!
● All personalities are accepted, excluding anyone who is clearly violent, chaotic, or poses a potential threat to others.
● Foxes joining the Okeanos need to be able to work with others. Members of the tribe usually pair up and form groups while out doing their daily tasks, so there shouldn’t be fighting and squabbling every five minutes. Lioumere isn’t asking too much, just... try to be polite to others and get the job done.
● The tribe worships two Higher Beings: Arcas (Modeity of the Hunt) and ??? Modeity of Unity).
● Excluding the founding members of the tribe, all new members start off as Greenhorns. You don’t jump straight into being a Hunter or a Carer, you have to work and earn the title!
● All Tribe Guardians take on the Homebody rank.
● Again, tribe/non-tribe relationships and relationships with foxes from different tribes are uncommon in the Okeanos, and are likely to not be approved by the Leader unless you prove that the relationship can work and leave all foxes involved healthy and happy. When it comes to romance it’s highly advised that you keep everything within the tribe.
● There’s no such thing as a “quick trip” here in Okeanos. The Okeanos is a pretty reclusive tribe and surrounded by a large amount of land, so tribe members typically have little to no contact with others outside of the tribe, the only exception to this being outsiders who accidentally wander onto the tribe lands. You’re more than welcome to invite family and friends to visit, but please realize that traveling to and from the Okeanos takes a couple of days, and that trips are usually discussed with the Leader beforehand. No overnight trips or day trips here!
If you’re interested in joining, fill out this form and PM it to the tribe mule, -THE MULE THAT I SHOULD PROBABLY MAKE SOMETIME LOL...-. If you’re having multiple foxes join at one time, please place all of their joining forms in one PM!
If you need some help with filling out the form, click the spoiler below!

??? x ???: ● No kids yet.
Some test tribes (usually ones we have plots with) might be on this list, but it’s mostly official tribes! The Yasashii Tribe: ● iirc, yasashii and the okeanos were planning on being allies? okeanos would offer to supply food in times of need, while yasashii would provide medical care. i think we were also planning on doing some sort of “study abroad” program thing, where kits/adults (maybe it was just kits? idr) who wanted to get better at what the two tribes are known for (hunting & medical) could temporarily live in the other tribe and receive training. GOTTA CHECK WITH NYM THO.
