(Back dating this a few days)

Sleet Tempest Snape
Aiden had told him earlier that he was going out, and would be out most of the night, so Alexandre decided it was time for a group meeting. Sending out the text messages, while standing around talking to his elder cousin, the ashen blond had told each member of his team that his home was free tonight and they were all invited - dinner was on him. They could spend time together and talk, discuss, and catch up. It was time for them to all bond a bit more, they hadn’t bonded enough in his opinion, and maybe help each other with issues people might be having.

He’d given them a time for when they could start arriving, since he had to wait for Aiden to leave, and then he had left his phone in his bedroom as he went about his usual day to day routine, he didn’t want Aiden getting suspicious or anything.

It was once Aiden had left that Alexandre went to work with pulling food from the fridge so he could cook. People were due soon, the time he’d given them was only twenty minutes after Aiden said he’d be leaving. He had given the extra time incase Aiden forgot something and returned home to pick something up, or was running late in getting out to see his family.

Now though, that Aiden was gone, he was moving about his kitchen working on preparing some food. The clock ticking down the time to when people would start arriving - if anyone decided to do so. He really hoped he didn’t look like an idiot with food made and no one turning up….he’d feel a bit lonely as he shared the meal with Hudson. Speaking of Hudson….

Glancing over to his cousin he couldn’t help but smile. “Sooo...Hudson...how is dating?” Wanting to pry a bit, perhaps act like the younger cousin he was and tease the other a bit.

Ryan was as cheeky as always arriving a few minutes after the time Alex said and waltzing right in like he owned the place. If he could have teleported right behind Alex and shouted boo he would have, but he refrained for the obvious reason.

He headed into the kitchen with a grin, “hey bossman, what's for dinner!”

He slung himself into a chair with grin and looked over to the other blonde whose name actually escaped him at the moment. There were many of them at this point and he remembered their negaverse names better oddly enough.

“Sorry,” he said with a chuckle, “I kind of forgot your real name … tell me you don't know mine either. Though if he’s Tink … I'm sure your Thor comparatively.”

Someone may have just gotten a new nickname, maybe … the blonde may have been more Cap … pfffft Ryan didn't know!

””
He supposed it was high time he started showing up to events like this.

Elijah was apprehensive about showing up to this dinner because he hadn't shown up to any other event and this was the first. He felt more awkward than he usually did, picking a seat that was the farthest away from everyone. The blonde with the loud mouth was already starting to give him a headache, causing him to sigh. Maybe he should just leave and go drain a couple of civilians before bed. Despite loud mouth, Eli decided to stay and see what would go down. If blonde gets any louder, he will henshin and spit one of his black siqups at him, that would make for a good laugh.

Tom was quite happy to accept the dinner invitation from Alex and hopped that it would at least take his mind off of his summer assignment. It had been hard working in the local jail the past month, and it had taken a bit of a toll on his mental health, so he hoped that working at the hospital would be a bit better, if stressful in a different sort of way.

It was a bit later than he wanted when he had finally been able to get to Alex’s place, as he had spent the day catching up with his little brother. Unfortunately Jason was starting to suspect something since they hadn’t been communicating with each other as much as usual, and today was spent mostly trying to reassure his little brother and deflect any suspicions that his brother held. As much as he would have loved to tell his brother, though Jason would more than likely be horrified, Tom of course had to keep it a secret, and it was putting a strain on their relationship. Though Jason seemed to be keeping something from him also, but Tom figured that his little bro would need to spread his wings at some point, and they didn’t need to share everything anyway.

He sighed to himself as he got up to the doorway and knocked, before letting himself in, figuring that it was unlocked. He wandered through the apartment a bit until he got to the kitchen where everyone seemed to be. He cursed mentally to himself as he knew he had seen some of these people before, but unfortunately had neglected to remember their names. Why was it that he could remember everything about someone BUT what they were called until he had been told a few dozen times?

He smiled tough and was glad that there were others here. Although he had been working on his own more often nowadays, it was still good to know that one might have others who could possibly help/back them up when needed. Though he was a bit distracted at what was being made, it was making his mouth water. “Whatever you are making Alex, it smells delicious.” He said, taking a seat himself and nodding to the others who were there.

He wasn’t surprised at all with Ryan’s appearance nor his teasing, he expected it at this point. Rolling his eyes he turned from the stove top and eyed the blond. “My cousin might be the size of Thor but Hux is more like a giant teddy bear.” Turning his eyes, for a moment, to his cousin. It was still, he suspected, a bit of a shock for his elder cousin to accept that his younger cousin was so willing to throw himself into a fight and could be so aggressive.

The first talk they’d really had about it, where he’d told him possibly too much, had left his cousin rather shocked not to mention upset with how easily he talked about some of the topics they’d discussed. Hudson was, thankfully, getting over such things. Now he just needed to get his cousin out there and gathering more energy and getting into fights…

With the arrival of two more he felt his smile growing. “Elijah, it’s good to see you and Tom.” Tom was always good to see, he liked the other man. He was a calm presence and while he still worried that this life in the Negaverse might not suit him well enough, due to the other being a med student, he was happy to have him around. He hoped to keep him around and as a member of his team.

“You can taste test the sauces if you want.” Pasta seemed the best idea for a group gathering, who didn’t like pasta? Just to be sure everyone ate though he’d made two different sauces. A traditional red sauce and a white wine based sauce to suit his own taste as it was lighter in flavor. Chicken for the meat and some veggies as well. It should be good - he hoped so anyway.

“How are you three doing? School and work are good? Nothing troubling or stressful?” Always wanting to make sure they weren’t over taxed with things, between work, school and the Negaverse. He would lighten loads and help when and where he could, anything to ease things for them. The Negaverse was a duty, yes, but it shouldn’t mess with a person's civilian life….much less risk things like livelihood or education.

””
When Alex had told him about the meeting, he had figured he would end up helping his cousin out with the food, at least for dessert maybe. However while waiting for Aiden to leave the house he spent the time grading papers and getting them ready to be given back while their grades were filed away.

Once the other man left though, he was back down in the kitchen with Alexandre, keeping him company as well as getting dessert together. The question Alex tossed his way make him pause though with a bit of a blush to his cheeks. "Just fine." He wasn't about to go into it when one of the other team members came in since it wasn't any of their business.

Hux gave Ryan a short wave of dismissal at the mention that he had forgotten his name and then a smile. "No worries, I don't remember most of the teams names anyway, or at least which name goes to which face since Tink here does talk about you all. I’m Hux, and you are?" The nickname of Thor got an amused laugh out of him and he let Alex respond to that comment to instead turn to Elijah and Tom when they came in and asked if they wanted anything to drink.

Quote:
Ryan nodded, “Hux … I will endeavor to remember that though I mean Im partial to nicknames … ask Bossman,” he chuckled. It was basically Ryan’s way of saying he was Thor and that probably what he’d be called unless he told Ryan to stop. Though with Alex’s comment he was half torn on the nickname …. whatever.

“Im Ryan,” he said before looking back to Alex as he asked about how they were and Tom walked in.

“Hey Doc,” he said to Tom even if they other hadn’t finished his school yet. Well honestly Ryan wasn’t terrible sure whether he had or hadn’t as the team as chill as they were when they got together, hadn't gotten together in a bit.

He settled back against his chair, turning his attention back to Alex, “Work’s fine, we live in a city that's never without news so things at the paper are busy as always. I'm always on the lookout for articles that might further the negaverse and put a better light on us. There always seems to be a slip up that needs fixing, with so many of those mini skirted wannabe superheroes’’ running around.” He shook his head and snorted at the idea. “Otherwise, I should probably start pestering my fiance’ about wedding stuff … tempted to just throw the mom’s at it though.”

He turned looking to the one Alex called Elijah, “when did you pick up hair boy over there?” Was Ryan disrespectful, a little, he couldn't help it, the blonde was more than a bit of an a**. He absentmindedly wondered where Hunt was.

””
“Fine.”

There wasn't much for him to say at this point. He barely showed up to these meetings anyway, preferring to do things on his own time, by himself. He wasn't gathering much energy lately anyway since he was distracted with thoughts of a certain blue haired nuisance that he hasn't seen in months. Zoe was going to owe him her life whenever she decides to flounce her way back home.

He was paying everything on his own damn it!

Elijah did admit that he wasn't much of a fighter, nor did he really let the nicknames that other people took it upon themselves to call him annoy him at all, but there was something about the blonde asswhipe giving him a nickname when he didn't know him from anywhere that just made his eye twitch.

“I've been here for awhile you a*****e. My name isn't hairboy, it's Elijah. I assume you heard Alex say it unless you're hard of hearing as well.”

A little aggressive? Yes. Did he care? Not really no. This guy's very presence annoys the ******** outta him and he can't figure out why.

””
Tom didn’t need to be told twice to sample the delicious sauce, he was starving at this point and either he was going to be unable to move from hunger, or from being way too tired at this point, so he might as well get something in him! He made sure to use his own spoon to sample so he didn’t get his germs in there, no one would want it afterwards otherwise.
He gave a nod to Ryan. “Hey Ryan.” Well, at least someone remembered who he was, though it probably wasn’t too hard what with the cowboy hat and such. While he went to sample the sauces though he listened in on the conversations and almost wanted to roll his eyes at the group. Things seemed to be a bit tense, but he didn’t sense any malice from the group at least. Though he was glad that Ryan was managing to get everyone to name themselves, it saved him the trouble of asking again. However, he didn’t remember meeting Elijah before and after he was done went back to the table to introduce himself. Though as he was going to the table he told Alex, “The sauces taste great Alex!” And finally sat himself back at the table.

“Hey Elijah, I’m not sure if we’ve met, but I’m Tom.” He said, holding out his hand, though he wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t taken. Ah well, it was what he had been taught to do when introducing oneself and he still hadn’t managed to get a more casual greeting to stick.

””
Hux gave a grin and a shrug at Ryan's words. "I don't have any problems with nicknames and if one turns out easier to remember then my name then go for it." He said, though he could admit that part of the reason he didn't mind the nickname is because hey, Thor. "I'll try to remember your name as well."

When he turned his attention back to the group over all he had to raise an eyebrow at the two lowkey clashing. "Well it's a pleasure to finally meet you Elijah. Would you three care to try these oreo truffles? I made them last night but I don't think anyone has gotten into them yet." The blond moved to the fridge and brought out a few oreo truffles to place on the table. Not enough to curb their appetite for dinner but maybe something that would pop the tension a bit.

””
He had gotten caught in traffic so he had ended up at Alex's a little later then he had originally planned but still not terribly late over all. Once he was parked, Richard made his way to the door, gave a knock then let himself in when he found out the door was unlocked. After making sure the door was shut behind him, just in case any of Alex’s dogs were running around, he headed towards the kitchen where he heard noises as well as could smell the food cooking. “Well, glad to see I’m not the last one to arrive.” He said as he walked in and saw the small group.

Sleet Tempest Snape
Eyeing his cousin he sniffed once, in a way you’d expect most stuck up snobs to do. “You know I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so I’ve avoided them.” In fact the only sweet things he ate were fruits really. While he might have said, and acted, as he did the words had no bite or meanness to them, his cousin knew him well enough by now. “Katya wouldn’t touch them either.” Though the fish filet in the fridge he was sure he’d seen her eyeing earlier in the day, when he’d gotten some water for himself. He’d have to figure out something for it tomorrow and make sure to share with her, it wasn’t a good idea to upset a guardian cat.

As Tom came over to taste test the sauces the ashen blond was watching the newest member of his group, hoping he’d fit in well, and Ryan. For a moment he did consider butting in but decided against it, it was best if they sorted themselves out.

“Elijah is new, Katya discovered him.” Deciding to toss that out there as he moved towards the fridge. “Drinks - anyone?” Offering to grab things for people, while wondering for a brief moment where Katya was, he wasn’t too surprised to hear Richard's voice.

From where he’d been kneeling, grabbing a bottle of flavored water, he peeked over the top of the fridge’s door. Flashing the other a smile. “It’s good to see you made it, the drive over went well?” Seeing as the other was late it wouldn’t be off to ask, make sure the other was well.

“Foods almost done also.” He tossed out there for the dark haired male.

Quote:
“Don’t get all hot under the collar, Hair boy,” Ryan said rather defiantly towards Elijah. If he didn’t like the nickname, it was whatever. He’d eventually get a better one maybe, assuming Ryan actually liked him.

He grinned with Richard came in and called out, “Hey Reindeer Games. Take a load off.” He motioned to a chair. Yep Ryan probably watched too much Marvel, but being compared to Loki probably wasn’t too bad. Maybe he could be Iron man … or hell Iron Dad, if the spiderman movies are anything to go off. He smirked, trying not to laugh because the movie was amusing. Though his outfit was as Hawkeye as they come, all decked in purple.

He looked to Alex when he said Eli was new and nodded, “where is Miss Katya, anyway.” He didn’t think he spotted her. She was usually around and Ryan like to bug her, just as much as Alex. She just got the less annoying version a petting, where in she got pets and treats.

“I was upstairs reading.” Came the slightly less haughty voice from the feline who was stepping into the room. Tail moving behind her, flicking this way and that, the mauvian was happy to see so many people in one place. The team was growing and she was proud of it, like a mother proud of watching her kittens grow - not that she knew anything about such a thing. “I couldn’t help but be pulled down here due to the smell of food and the chatter taking place.” Moving closer to Ryan she jumped up and landed in his lap.

Leaning up, paws to his chest, she moved to rub her face to his before turning her green eyes to the others. “It’s good to see you all here.” It was very nice, she liked to see them all together. They felt more like a team - like a family when together. “You’ve all been doing well I hope? Keeping healthy and safe?” Wanting to make sure they were all well, that there wasn’t some senshi or knight out there still breathing whom had hurt one of her own. Casting her green eyes about the group as she spoke, watching for reactions and waiting for replies.

Quote:
Ryan was happy to pet Katya, not all complained about getting a face full of fur. The a*****e liked the cat and who cared for what anyone else said. She made sure magic slingers were firmly on their side even if he would never be fond of senshi. It made Katya all good in his books.

He continued to stroke her grey fur while leaning back in his chair waiting for the other to answer their guardian.

Tom felt his stomach grumble at Beni’s update on the food. Honestly, he shouldn’t be that hungry, but home-made food was always the best, and Tom was too lazy to really cook for himself, so he quite enjoyed these little food get togethers. He smiled when Katya came down, always happy to see her. Though he sometimes wondered if it was because she was such a calming presence, or if he missed his own cats so badly. Honestly, he should have them travel here with him considering his residence here seemed to become more permanent by the day.

He looked over at Alex and grinned. “Can’t wait Alex. It tastes great!” He replied, before looking at Hux’s offered truffles and taking one of them, thanking him in the process. Tom couldn’t help but feel a bit lazy about himself as he saw all of this good food being made. Maybe he could invite everyone over to his apartment someday so that he could repay them somehow.

“So… any exciting news anyone would care to share about themselves? I barely know any of you so I’d like to learn a bit more about you. If you want, I can start. I’m volunteering at both the local hospital now so hopefully that will advance my undergrad degree a bit. What about you guys?”

Sleet Tempest Snape
“I decided teaching art isn’t my thing...not something I was to pursue.” Shrugging as he spoke as he moved from the fridge to the stove, sipping at his flavored water as he did so. Moving to stand in front of the stove, and finish off the dinner he was making for everyone, it really was almost done. Taking time to teach, as he had, had taught him that one big lesson. It was a mistake he had almost made and now could avoid, thankfully. He couldn’t imagine if he had followed through with it - he’d be miserable.

“Other than that...nothing of note. It seems like things are falling into a bit of a lull in the city...which is rare but good.” Something they could enjoy...or something they could ruin, by doing something big. “I was thinking….we could do something to gather energy...something big but low key.” Turning, glancing over his shoulder, to gauge everyone else's reaction to his words.

Turning back around, after a moment, he went to grab the oven mitts so he could turn off the heat from under the pot where the pasta was cooking. With the heat off he headed the pot over to the sink in order to strain the pasta, the hot water going down the drain, he moved than to pour the pasta out into a large bowl for everyone to grab from. The sauces, just finishing, were added to bowls as well and ladles added to the bowls so people could grab as much sauce as they wanted.

Shannon had been running late not that she was concerned since it was always best to make an entrance so when she finally arrived at Alex’s all the buxom lady did was give a cursory knock before sashaying inside. “Alex, love, I’m terribly sorry I am late.” The dusky skinned woman apologized, giving the ashen blond some air kisses, as she quickly joined the crowd of men, and boy wasn’t she a lucky lady to be in the presence of such cuties, it was a shame Alex was gay… and Ryan too. But the others, now they were different stories. “Ryan,” His greeting was mostly in passing as silvery gray eyes took in the entire room, except for those two every male here was new to her. Oh goodie. This was going to be fun. Already she knew she wanted to mess with these males, just a little bit… or maybe a lot.

“My meeting ran late. You know how it is, men can be such chatty Kathys.” Her tone was full of laughter and teasing even if her smile had more than a little edge to it. She founced over to a chair, snagging one of the chocolate covered truffles on her way, and settled down. Her legs crossed, letting the skirt ride up and giving the whole room an eye full of her toned calves and thighs… quite deliberately. With a toss of her head Shannon shook her white hair out of her face, the red tips matching her blouse perfectly, and delicately biting into the tuffle. With a rather indecent hum of approval she quickly consumed the rest of the treat. “Now thats what I call yummy,” she practically purred as she took in the male’s reactions through her lashes. Lets see who takes the bait, Shannon mentally thought as she sized everyone up.

When there wasn’t a instant reaction as far as she could tell the woman ignored the peons and turned her focus back to Alex. “Darling I was wondering if I could snag you for another date night since the last one was ever so entertaining.” Shannon batted her eyelashes at the diminutive general, her lips curling up in a flirtatious grin. “I really loved seeing you in that outfit, it's a shame I couldn’t help you out of it.” She had roped the young man into being her escort to a masquerade ball when she had been tapped to write an article about it for one of her freelance jobs and Shannon was hoping to repeat the process again. “How does a night at the theater sound? Comfy chairs, dark theater, and more than enough noise that a little playing around won't be noticed.” Her flirty smile shifted into something a bit colder and much more predatory. “And to make things even better, this place is slated to be demolished so I’m sure there are more than a few nooks and crannies we can use.” If someone just heard her words and didn’t see her expression they might have figured she was talking about a liaison with the young man, not murder, or at least energy draining.

Sleet Tempest Snape
While most straight men, and maybe a few gay men who simply could appreciate beauty, would be staring at the female who made her way into his home and his kitchen Alexandre didn’t. He didn’t look over her legs, especially higher up than the knee, as she made herself at home and bite into one of his cousins desserts. Rather it was her words which had his attention, because female bodies would never have his attention.

“I would apologize for not allowing that but I doubt you spent too long alone after we parted ways.” He stated while moving about the kitchen to get food out so everyone could eat. In the process of this he got a drink for himself.

While most would indeed think her words were flirty he knew what they really her, she knew there was no hope of getting anywhere with him, and as he glanced over his shoulder his own look was just as predatory if not more so. As small and innocent looking as he was, most of the time, he was a general for a reason and in this moment it showed. He was a predator who had little issue in grabbing people for energy draining in a theater and risking making a scene.

“Mmmm, demolished you say….that is promising. I assume there will be some event for it’s seeing off?” He questioned, raising a brow. Oh yes, he looked like the cat that had the canary and the cream and was about to devour them both.

“Perhaps a bit of….group activity would be better for such an event….” He offered up in response to her.

Quote:
“Oh you know me,” Shannon grinned at her ‘boss’ before tossing him a wink, “I pined after you for a while before a nice young man was kind enough to distract me.” The ‘while’ was more like five minutes and the distracting had really been little more than flirting. Sadly the guy she had met that night didn’t really retain her attention beyond the first few minutes, he was good for some practice but not worth taking him for test drive so to speak. The night had ended rather quietly which was fine with her since she had to focus on doing the write up for the event anyway.

“Some kind of last run of a play. I honestly have no clue what play but since I’m getting paid to go it doesn't really matter.” She answered Alex’s question as she got to her feet to poor herself a glass of wine. The deep red liquid swirling against the glass like blood, the heady fragrance bringing a smile to her lips. The busty woman hummed as she took a sip of the drink, eyeing the crowd of males as her mind worked out the merits of the ‘activity’ Alex had hinted towards. “A dark theater with a whole group of guys… who would say no to that,” She practically purred as leaned against the wall, “I’ll send you the details when I get home, you can let me know from there. I’m pretty flexible afterall.”

Sleet Tempest Snape
“Mmm, a shame. Well, nothing that I can do anything about.” Waving his hand about in a rather flippant manner, because what could he have done for the poor woman? He certainly couldn’t have entertained her, the very idea was enough to have his stomach rolling in a rather unpleasant manner. Yup, he most certainly could not have helped her with her delima.

“Mmm, I’m sure you are. The details would be good, I’ll look into it as well and get started on a plan. Perhaps we can...open things up to others as well….a group sort of thing…” Came the blonds purred out response as he looked over at the female. She had stirred up thoughts in him, thoughts of locking people into a room and grabbing their energy. Within group chaos there was the allowance for order...because the chaos masked it. People in a panic didn’t notice things they should….it was a good idea.

“Mmm...yes - later. Right now it’s time for dinner.” That said as he finished setting everything out and clapped his hands. “Time to eat. The next time we meet we will be planning…” But tonight...not so much planning.
