Wrathful Demigod

PostPosted: Mon Aug 06, 2018 6:19 pm

"Don't worry, you'll be just fine in the morning. A little tired, but..." The Dark Mirror chuckled to herself, smiling benignly as she called the mirror wraith back to the shard she held almost daintily between thumb and forefinger. It bounded over, leaping up to siphon back into the shard of reflective glass, leaving the sleeping vagabond a with just a bit less energy, but otherwise unharmed.

It was the last shard she'd had to fill for the evening, and it was still pretty damn early. Romulus had gotten lucky in the park that night, stumbling upon a small group of homeless individuals seeking a relatively safe place to rest for the night. By Romulus' reasoning the night was really only just getting started, and maybe, just maybe, her roommate and partner in crime was just about finished with his own quota, and the two of them could go find some trouble to get into together.

Tucking away her shard into a little inner pocket in the length of one long sleeve, Romulus summoned her compact to her hand to give the senshi of change a call.

Humming quietly to herself, she waited for him to answer the call. She barely registered the feeling of something bright and shiny on the very edge of her perception. Order and strong. But Romulus wasn't doing anything nefarious, anymore, so she wasn't really paying the approaching aura very much mind.

After all, they were supposed to be the good guys.

______________________________________________

It was not the Negaverse he spotted when moving through the park and towards the signature. Not a corrupted senshi. There was no tale-taled sign of a shattered marking on their person.

There was only one side left, and he grinned at the thought of it. He had been restless. He had been pondering. He had been anxious and lost and wondering but now he was hungry. Hungry to start again from where he left off all that time ago.

The DMC was fractured, only summoning their leaders when someone high ranking was in danger or enough of their troops were being harmed. The White Phoenix mission showed that much. But he didn't have that army again, and had to take other measures.

Take whatever scraps you could get and call attention to himself and bring the DMC out to him. Hunt and be hunted.

The senshi was distracted, holding out something as they lost focus of their surroundings. Rookie in mistake. He knew his signature called attention to himself. There wouldn't be much time before even they noticed something was going on, and so he kicked off and rushed full speed at the senshi.

Picking up a branch from the ground, he threw it at the senshi before following it up with a kick.

______________________________________________

There was that moment of clarity when Romulus noticed that the aura was moving rapidly towards her, a moment to realize that she'd misjudged the situation before a heavy branch smacked into the back of her neck and shoulder. It spun her around to face her attacker, startled and wide-eyed, only to find the white clad knight practically on top of her, with the heel of one old fashioned boot striking her in the center of the chest.

It knocked the compact out of her hand as she staggered backward. It bounced once, rolled, and then came to a slow spinning stop a few meters away with the glass facing the senshi of craters as she struggled to get her breath back after the knight had knocked the wind out of her.

"Wha-what are you doing?" The question proved her lingering naivety in this war. Romulus had been sheltered. For as long as she'd been awakened into this life, nothing she'd faced up to this point really prepared her for the opposition blitz attacking out of no where. They usually spoke to her first, asking or demanding she cease her shenanigans, and if they fought, it'd always seemed like they were on equal footing.

This was different. It'd only been one kick, and still she'd felt the strength in it. I might be in trouble here.

______________________________________________

He bounced in his step, utterly delighted at his luck and feeling a release of pent up aggression scream inside him at the prospect of release. Already he could feel that gnawing hunger that wanted to feel flesh tear and bones to snap in half. He wanted to feel desperation returned to him, struggling, and to hear it all around him.

They deserved this. They all deserved this.

As she fell back, she still had enough air in her to ask such a stupid question.

"Why? WHY?" He moved across the grounds quickly to get her before kicking again at her side.

"Because I want you DEAD!"

He stood there, waiting for any blast of power from her. DMCers were senshi after all. They all had their little tricks.

"Ask me another question." He said, and the tone was that of a order, not a request.

______________________________________________

He was too quick. On her again before she'd gotten a chance to recover from the last kick, and this was one was harder. It knocked the wind completely out of her, and she dropped to her knees as she gasped, desperately trying to breath.

"Because I want you DEAD!"

Eyes widening in shock, Romulus felt the mounting panic that'd been bubbling up around the edges roll up and crash over her in a crushing wave. "Don't," she wheezed, breathless and pained. "Don't even know you." I've never even met you, why are you doing this?

Outclassed and panicked, the order was enough to rankle. She could feel her lips drawing back from her teeth, anger trying to push it's way past the fear. Contrite, even now as she faced off against someone twice as strong, and absolutely insane. There was no reasoning with the pure hate she could see in that single eye of his. Hate directed at her, and for what? She'd never met the guy. She hadn't even been here for over a year.

Breathing shallowly around bruised ribs, The dark mirror weighed her options.
She could try to run, but he was faster than her, and he'd catch her. She could try to fight, but she'd lose...

Well, it looked like she was going to lose regardless, and she'd be damned if she let him take her down without a fight.

"C-crater strike!" it came out broken, but strong as the senshi rushed him, magic circling her right fist before sinking into it. The attack wasn't pretty, or especially skilled, but threw that dainty fist up at his jawline in a wild hay-maker.

If she could stun him, maybe she could get away from him. Maybe.

______________________________________________

"You will know me. Some of the others already know me VERY well. But you won't know me long, and when I'm done, I'm going to leave a rosy wet message for Leto and Remauqe. I'm coming back for them, and Zinkenite won't be around to stop me this time." He said, giddy at the idea that there would be no one there next time. He would finish them all. He would taste that victory again before the poison of Metallia's oppression kept him from swallowing.

That starseed would be his, and he would feel it's crystal break under his own teeth destroying it all forever.

The call was sent, and he squared his footing and kept his eye open. Magic was tricky. It could be a area of affect, it could fall from the heavens, an it could just be an overall feeling that weakened your will to fight. He had encountered all manner of magic through the years, and he waited for what he guessed might be a meteor shower.

Instead, she rushed at him, and threw her fight at his jaw, hitting her mark and sending him stepping sideways, staggering a moment before he balanced again and snapped his attention back at her. His eye was side, and he felt the blood pooling in his mouth.

"Good. GOOD! Fight for your life. Give me EVERYTHING you have. I want to feel you thrashing to the very end!" He moved again, rushing at her and threw his own punch. Not magic. He didn't even summon his own weapon. It was just that of a fighter long in the war, with no hesitation to break her in any way, of a once-General to full Knight.

______________________________________________

The panic had come screaming back in the wake of that horrific declaration of his intentions for her. Tanned skin had paled, eyes widening until whites showed all around the blue, and even as she fought to hide it she could feel her hands starting to tremble.

Romulus wasn't going to be walking away from this.

Even as he goaded her on, taunting her, she could feel her heart slamming into the cage of her ribs, blood pounding in deafening rush through her ears. Blood he was going to spill across the concrete. A high keening sound escaped her lips before the impact of knuckles against her cheek rocked her sideways and damn near staggered her off her feet.

She tasted blood, felt the sting of a split lip, and there was an awful second or two where darkness ate at the edges of her vision, threatening to close in around her. Shaking her head to clear it, she spat out a mouthful of copper, bright eyes lifting to meet manic ones.

One more chance... "Crater strike!" She shouted it at him like a war cry, desperate and fierce, and this time the magic went to her right foot as she drew it up and sent her heel into his stomach.

When it connected she didn't stop to see what the damage was. She turned and she ran, racing down the path towards the distant shape of the bathrooms. Bathrooms she knew they had a mirror in.

______________________________________________

She staggered and he watched her sway, gauging how many more hits it would take to render her immobile. Should I break her legs? He thought. It would leave her alive but he wanted her conscious for the final moments before he tore the last breath form her. He couldn't take starseeds now. Her death would just be postponing a fight when she came back in some future, but he hoped it was a distant future and one that would have no leader to come back to. A future that was bleak for the DMC and would leave them few and easily crushable for him when he returned again and again and again.

But she had fight left in her, and he watched with eager attention just for the sensation of her drawing near to his reach. To know and disect what she had, the limits of her power, and to see what the DMC had that put it outside of that of the senshi and Negaverse. More and more often he saw that when it came to fighting, it wasn't much different.

As she came, he forgot to exhale for any punches to hsi body, instead thinking she would go for his face again, and he moved to guard it quickly as she swung, only to see too late she positioned herself low and went up into his gut, knocking the breath from him and causing him to wince inwardly, arching as she held hsi gut and knelt a moment before seeing her run away.

No.

NO!

He couldn't let her leave! He wanted this. He wanted this desperately to the point in pained him at the very idea of her leaving.

Pushing himself up on his feet, he growled out loudly into a shout, before rushing at her. She couldn't leave. She'd never leave. This was it for her. He wouldn't let a DMCer escape like they had during the attack. He wanted to see and taste blood again.

Catching up to her was easy and if it they were of equal rank it might have been an issue that would have caused him to summon his binding weapon, but instead, he followed up and past her before pivoting on a heel to sweet a leg under her feet.

"You're MINE!" He shouted, angry she even bothered running and not fighting to the end. Running.

"How dare you not fight me! Running! RUNNING! Do you think I'd let you get to some mirror! Some glass or pond or whatever else you like to use. Do I look stupid to you?!"

______________________________________________

She didn't think it'd stop him from long, but he recovered a lot faster than she'd been expecting, or hoping, he would. His aura was closing in behind her, and she could hear the snap of his boot heels on the concrete as he tore after her. <********, ********, ******** flash of white and burgundy to her side was all the warming Romulus had before the knight's manic face filled her vision and a foot was sweeping her legs out from under her. She shrieked as she toppled backwards, hands shooting back to try to break her fall, and not quite making it in time to keep her head from smacking against the pavement. Starbursts erupted across her vision, and for a second she couldn't see him looming over her, but she could hear him screaming at her.

There's nothing sane left in that voice. Nothing to reason with. Nothing to appeal to.

As her vision cleared she tried to kick out at him, aiming a heel at his kneecap. "Get the ******** away from me! I don't know who you're after, but it's not me!" Powered or not, Romulus barely counted herself a senshi, she hadn't been at it long enough.

______________________________________________

"Damnit!" He shouted as he was hit in the knee and knelt a moment before he threw his body at her, working to force his weight upon her and grab her arms.

"It's is you! It's always you! ALL OF YOU! EVERY DMCER is it! The whole lot of worthless trash that got spat out from the White Court. Leto's b**** children." He reached for her wrists to get a firm hold of them.

"I'm going to rip out each and every one of you from her court. I'll leave your limbs scattered across this city and your guts at every mirror I find!" He shouted as he worked to pin her to the ground.

For a split second she thought maybe she'd broken free but he recovered way too quickly, and before she'd made it more than a couple of feet he was slamming into her again to drive her to the ground. Romulus shrieked as their combined weight hit the pavement, and she could feel skin being torn away along the side of one arm before he was flipping her around and slamming her to her back with him on top of her.

s**t! s**t s**t s**t! His grip on her wrists was tight and strong and even pushing with everything she had she could barely move him. This is it.

"I don't even know Leto!" Trying to reason with him was useless, but panic spurred on the protest as tears gathered to bright eyes and spilled in warm lines down her cheeks. "I don't know her! I haven't even been in the court that long!"

She hadn't been able to get a call out. No one knew where she was, or that she was in trouble. She was going to die here, and there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it.

"And you won't stay in her court long." He whispered as he leaned down beside her. "You should have never soded with her and worn that uniform. Now I'll paint the city block with the contents of your gut and litter the street with your skull."

And as he gripped he brought his lips to her neck and bit into the side of her neck. Blood flooded his mouth and he let it seep out through his clentching teeth before he pulked away and grabbed her head. Lifting it, he smacked it against the payment with the thud of a soft body hitting stone. Again he did this and again before he vrabbed her neck in both hands, the blood warm and slick against his hold, and squeezed.

Blood dribbled down his chin as he watched her with hungry eyes, savoring the moment as he trird to press it's end. "There is no Zinkenite to stop me now."

For Leto, it was just another night- flitting in and out of mirrors throughout Destiny City as if it was second nature, collecting energy and leaving a trail of sleeping bodies in her wake. She was about to step through one of the many hidden mirrors that scattered alleys, parks and buildings when she felt something.

The power signature was juuuust on the edge of her senses, and it made the hair at the nape of her neck stand at attention. She stopped, palm on the cool glasses, and looked over her shoulder. Normally she would jump at the chance to get her hands on a Knight... Did she really want to get involved when she was just about to hang up her fuku for the evening? She waited a moment, closed her eyes, and took a long, slow breath. It was then that she felt the blip of a second power signature and her hand immediately snapped back away from the mirror.

Without another second passing, Leto was turning on her heel and running as fast as she possibly could in the general direction of where she was sure she felt them. A knight, and one of her own. A basic Dark Mirror Senshi, at that. She heard their voices before she saw them. Then there was a shriek and as much as she'd like to believe the baby Mirror Senshi was the one causing the shrieking, she knew it wasn't likely. The Camouflage Eternal practically skid around a corner to finally lay eyes on the pair - both the Senshi and the Knight strangers to her.

I don't even know Leto!

Apparently she was no stranger to the Knight, however. Red eyes widened as she caught the tail end of the man glad in white and burgundy smashing the Senshi's head into the pavement, covered in what Leto was sure was the poor girl's blood. Her own blood began to boil and before she knew it she had called her Royal form to life. Bare feet pushed her forward, large black feathered wings flapping once to give her enough momentum to slam into the Knight's body and off of Romulus .

"It sounds like your problem is with me, not her," she growled between clenched teeth as she swung a back-handed bracer-clad arm to crack him in the jaw with as much strength as she could manage.

"Are you okay!?," she quickly called out to the other Senshi, hoping desperately she was still conscious.

Raw, frantic panic filled her eyes as he leaned over to sink teeth into the juncture between shoulder and throat, and Romulus screamed, nails digging into his arms and sides in a desperate attempt to push him off. It shouldn't have been that hard, he wasn't a big man, but she couldn't ******** move him! It was like he was locked around her, even as he drew back with blood dripping down his chin to stain the white of his coat.

How badly did he bite me?! Had he ripped her throat out with his ******** teeth? She could feel the blood, but the bite itself was a bone deep ache and told her nothing of how serious it was.

Then the world around her exploded in bursts of black and grey as he jerked her up and slammed her back down again, skull bouncing off the concrete. Not once, not twice, but three times before she felt him shifting again, but at that point she didn't know up from down or left from right. The world was spinning, vision running on dark streamers. She could see his face...

Slick fingers wrapped around the thin column of her throat and Romulus managed to get out a singular whimper before his fingers tightened. She struggled, tried to, but at this point she could barely move, let alone fight him off of her. The blind panic returned in a crippling wash, nails tore at his hands where they wrapped around her neck, and then stopped all at once as the world bled to black and she went limp beneath him.

It felt like an eternity before consciousness crawled back to her, but in reality it had only been about half a minute. The weight on her chest was gone, crushing hands no longer circling her throat. She tried to move but the world ran in streamers again and she whimpered pathetically. Not quite in answer to the voice that had called back to her, but it served.

...Who is that?

The energy happened in an instant. One moment he was alone, eyes fixated on the moment he saw the senshi's eyes roll back and her body stiffen. Her desperation faded as she clawed less and less at his hands. Worthless. He had lost a lot of feeling back during his imprisonment. They ahd broken fingers. Set him on fire. There was little pain there, and what were a few claw marks. If anything they were sweet little reminders of his wonderful night with her after this was all said and done. After he finished her and then decided what kind of statement he wanted to make with her body. A fresh bucket of paint to play with.

But in that moment, the massive energy signature was upon him, and he jerked his attention up just as he saw her. The cameo that made her look ready for a fight in the jungle rather than in the cement constructs of Destiny City. The wide, brunette hair and the large, black wings. Wings. How did they come back?

He remembered the feel of them under his arm, how alive they were. The tension of muscle as he gripped them like that of a large crow and how he pulled and felt the muscle pull and tear slowly from her.

And it was her. In the rush of feathers and form it was her, and he felt a wave of relief. Relief in that he remembered. He could remember her. That in the memory of what little he remembered, of what only he remembered as being his life as Wolframite, he did remember. That these thoughts and memories were not lies, and that Leto did exist. She had seemed so illusive now, and time felt so distant from last he saw her, since last he lead a war against her and almost won in biting into the starseed he held in his very hands. But she was here, and in that, he felt a wash of relief.

Leaving the Negaverse. Loosing the memories of himself. Of Ladon. Becoming this.

It had meaning.

It had a reason because she was still here. Alive. Not vanished like so many of those he knew in the past. Not dissolved from war and pain and destruction. She was very much alive, and his expression widened and teeth flashed in that of a smile before he felt the crack of her bracer against him.

Thrown off, his body whipped and tumbled off the woman, and he flew and rolled against the sandpaper asphalt until he slowly stopped. Blood filled his mouth from cuts inside his cheek and he spit out the tip of his own tongue. Somewhere a tooth was loose, and he spit it out as he gasped and coughed blood. Pushing himself to all fours, he picked the tooth to pocket it. He could pop it in later and hope it reattached. Not the first time, and he really didn't need a pretty smile these days.

Vision blurry, he shook the sting and daze from his eyes and looked up to feast upon her. Leto.

"You came." He managed, and felt the bubble of giddiness rise up in his chest before he laughed. "I can't believe it." He wobbled as he pushed himself up to his feet and stood there. "...after all this time. Here."

His voice was soft, tender as his eyes misted as he saw her. Finally. At long last. Finally, solid and proof of existence. Finally, at long long last, a picture in his mind once again. Fresh. Assured.

It was like proof of a myth he had in his head. That no one else cared to confirm. A silly wive's tale. A warning to young children. Leto.

But he knew. He had to know, because why else would he be here. Why else would he not be a good soldier. Why else did he leave home - his home. The home of his family - his comrades.

His eyes watched her, and looked at her before settling on her back.

"And your wing. Ohhh." he looked at it. "It grew back." His shoulders shook as he pressed the back of his hand to his mouth as blood filled his mouth and he spat out onto the road again, not able to stop the flow of it. Lowering his hand, he let it bleed out down his chin as he started to walk towards her.

The whimper was enough - enough to tell Leto that at the very least, she was alive and until she could get this ******** subdued (or better yet, dead), alive would just have to do. She would have to work quickly and get the poor girl to a hospital sooner rather than later if she wanted her to stay alive.

Her gaze caught the strange smile that he flashed at her before she hit him the first time. Was this some sort of sick game to him? As he rolled, Leto pushed herself to her feet and into a crouch, ready to pounce on the Knight a second time. If she were a cat, her hackles would be raised and her pointed teeth would be bared - but instead she watched him with a hardened glare, her eyes never moving from his form.

Something in the pit of her stomach turned when she heard the words you came, as if this entire thing was a set up to get her here. Not just anyone, her. Very specifically her. Were those tears? Leto was sure she was going to vomit, at the tone of his voice and the tears in his eyes, as if there was some obsession with her. She had never even met this guys before, and this was how he acted? Was she being watched? Stalked? The thought made her even more angry.

"What the ******** are you talking about?," she said between clenched teeth (and clenched fists) at him as he approached her.

It seemed that her existence proved to be enough of a distraction to keep him away from the other Dark Mirror Senshi, so that was a plus. She would have to find a way to incapacitate him long enough to grab the other girl and get the ******** outta dodge as quickly as possible.

The heavy weight of the strong chaotic aura standing between herself and the knight should have been comforting, and it was, but every awful word from the man's bleeding mouth was like nails on a chalkboard and Romulus cringed at the sound of it, of him. Something was wrong with him, and he'd be there every time she closed her damn eyes.

There wasn't a whole lot she could do at this point. Her vision kept going in and out of focus. It was still hard to breath, and she thought she could still feel those crushing hands around her windpipe, choking the life from her. Everything hurt, but somehow she felt numb as well, as if she were floating, and the slow trickle of cool blood along her shoulder almost tickled.

But help was here. Romulus didn't know who it was, but she could feel how powerful the other woman was. She shown like a black star behind her eyes. Just hold on. It was almost over.

God, she hoped it was almost over.

He grimaced at her clear confusion before it settled into a mix of pain and anger. "What do you think? How many people got so close to you to feel you breath your last shaking breath? Who was it that brought you to your knees? Who was it that tore your wings with glee and who was it that held you starseed ready to devour you whole?" He growled the words, slighted by her slow moving memory.

It wasn't as if anyone had that privledge. She wasn't that easy to kill. That least she could do was remember his damn name.

Remember who she tore from his previous life and path and hurled him into one where he left everything to be here. To say these things and be able to finally act upon then. The least she could do was remember the one survivor of that horrific stretch of days and nights that crippled him whenever he was in a closed off place. Whenever he smelled ash and smoke too close to the smell of his own cooking flesh. Thr least she could do was remember when he brought all corners of Chaos and Order in unison to come down upon her kind and strip her of her idea of invincibility, security, and power.

Because he did. He did and too often he wished there were parts he didn't. That the purification had shown mercy and taken it away and then he reminded himself he was the last one that did remember and he had tonremmeber of else those who caused all that pain would never be punished.

He summoned his weapon, the golden wolf's head hitting the ground as he gripped the chains. A pair of emerald eyes shown on the weapon's face. "I'm not a General any more. There is no one stopping me now from finally ripping you and everything you built apart. Do you know my name now, you heartless b***h?"

He swung the weapon's head into quick circles before sending the heavy weight at the girl Leto was working to protect. He could see she was distracted and as he threw his weapon, he released his grip on the chain and he rushed at Leto with a hard punch towards her face.

It seemed as if the width of Leto’s eyes directly correlated to the amount of words the Knight spewed at her. There were very, very few people that brought the Princess of Camouflage to near-death, and only one single person that ever came as close as he did to crushing and eating her starseed…

“Wolframite?,” she practically had to peer at him, to really bore into him with her fiery red gaze, studying his face- the single green eye, the second one patched. Now that she knew, she could definitely tell it was the same man. She almost felt stupid for not seeing it to begin with.

The one person that nearly took her down.

The one person that failed because she had a better alliance with his own General Sovereigns than he had. Where were her General Sovereigns now, however? This time, she had no one to teleport in and save her. No one to reprimand this mad man for trying to exact his revenge.

And that’s all this was- revenge. Did she deserve it for what she, Ares and the rest of the Blood Moon did to him and his comrades? Absolutely. Would she ever admit that to him or anyone else? Absolutely not.

And she would absolutely, positively, not allow this ******** psychopath to continue ******** with her Court just to get to her.

Her eyes caught sight of the golden wolf’s head just as the Knight came rushing at her. She had a choice to make - dodge the psycho or help her comrade - Trying to catch the weapon before the poor girl got any more hurt, Leto reached out for the chain, fingers wrapping around the very end of it and she took the full brunt force of his fist to her face. She may be of a higher rank, but the power behind the man’s punch was enough to cause her head to snap to the side - the bruise would come quickly, and the skin split, blood trickling down her cheek.

She grinned almostly wildly at him. “I can’t believe you had to leave the ******** Negaverse and become a p***y a** Knight just to come and get little ol’ me,” she laughed at him. Provoking him was probably not her best choice, but she was always so quick to anger that she almost couldn’t help it.

Wrapping his chain around one hand, just in case he could summon it back to him, she moved as quickly as her feet and wings would take her to encircle his neck with his own weapon. She tightened it, trying to choke the air from his lungs as he did to Romulus - she wanted him to suffer for what he did to her. Her lips pressed to his ear as she whispered and called her Eternal magic to life, almost as if she were seducing him. The ground beneath them began to shake and crumble, tall grasses sprouting up through the cracks and camouflaging both herself and Romulus.

The sound of the knight's voice as he listed off the reasons why this other Dark Mirror should remember him had Romulus cringing, and she might not have been very mobile, but she sure as hell tried to inch herself away from him. She'd known he'd hurt more of them, he'd implied as much--if not out right admitted it. Bragged about it--but to hear him list specific acts was horrifying. Not as if what he'd done to her wasn't horrific enough, but now there was more fuel for the nightmares she was sure would haunt her after this.

She'd managed to roll onto her side, was attempting to get up on hands and knees, when she saw the weapon swing. Her heart sank as his gaze snapped to her, and as he released the chain she dipped her head, eyes closed tight and body tense to brace for an impact that never came.

Metal clanged against concrete, chain clinking loudly, but the sound that carried the most was that of knuckles connecting with the other woman's cheek. The relief was starting to flood away from her, fear rolling in once again to replace it even as the other girl wrapped the weapon's chain around one hand and looped it around the knight's neck.

Then the ground was shaking, and Romulus let out a little, rasping yelp as she tried to make herself as small as humanly possible, trying to shield herself from whatever was coming. Only what came was tall grass and the peculiar caress of magic.

Leto, forever cursed by protecting the inept charges under her protection. It was the largest weakness she had. On her own, she wouldn't have held back, wouldn't even think for a second to tear him limb from limb, and part of him wished for the immediate death of the senshi crumpled behind her in order for them to really have a good fight. The other knew his advantage, and placed his chips in that she would be forced to make decisions she didn't want to make.

When the weapon was grabbed, the wolf's head missed it's mark, and he knew that Leto was bracing herself when his fist met hers. To this he flashed the brightest smile at knowing she knew his name. "I'll be whatever I need to be to kill you! A hundred times over!" He'd remove limbs and rip off his scalp and let himself be eaten by monsters if it meant he could come out the other end strong enough to tear her apart.

Leave it to the Princess of the Dark Moon Court to have a plan already formulating in her mind for what was to come, and the chain in her hand moved in, wrapping quickly around a relatively slender neck. He worked to hook his hands under it but it was already too late, and as she choked him, he disregarded any attempts to go for her hands. It was a pointless move most panicking would make. She was close, and that meant she was close enough to hit.

Grass sprang unnaturally all around Leto, and while she still gripped him, he reached and started to throw his weight into his fist, punching up into the soft tissue of her stomach over and over again. If he was still an agent, he would have taken her starseed right then, but he knew any attempt would just meet her uniform and a resistant ribcage. Over and over he continued to punch until his vision was pinpricks in the dark. Reaching up as he felt spit forming at the edges of his mouth and trickling down the corner of his lip, he gripped the chain and desummoned it.

Gasping, he kicked himself away, taking great lungfuls of air as he moved back and tried to regain his vision.

There was nothing in the world that Leto wanted more than to end this back and forth bullshit that she and Wolframite had going on. And not in the sense that she wanted to shake hands and call a truce- as she tightened her grip with his chain around his neck, she wanted to watch as the life drained from his eye. She wanted to feel his body go limp as he took his last gasping breath.

And quite frankly, the fact that she wanted that so badly was pretty messed up.. But he would not be the first of his faction nor the last to die by her hands. And there was no knight in the world that she despised more than him.

While ideally he would've gone down without a fight, Leto knew that was wishful thinking as he began to throw punches into her gut. She grunted and flinched, every muscle in her body tightening as she tried to will herself not to stagger and release the chain. It took every fiber of her being not to let go, to allow the Knight to continue pummeling her, likely cracking ribs as he did. She coughed, blood in the corners of her lips, and gasped for breath that was getting harder and harder to come by. It wasn't until he desummoned his weapon and kicked himself away that she lost her footing and stumbled back as well.

Taking advantage of the last few seconds of her magic, she limped over to Romulus and knelt at her side. A bloodied hand reached out to brush a stray strand of hair from the other girl's face. "We have to move. Now. Do you need me to carry you or can you run with my assistance? Either way..." She glanced over her shoulder at the man formally known as Wolframite as he pulled in desperate mouthfuls of air, then back at Romulus. "I've got you."

It really wasn't often Romulus found herself hoping to see someone die, but as Leto wrapped the chain of the knight's weapon around his throat and pulled she found herself counting the seconds, watching for his hands to go limp, his body to sage. Watching for the princess of their court to do to him what he'd tried to do to her. She wanted him dead. Wanted it so badly that the sight of him freeing himself pulled a sob like sound from the basic senshi and she felt scalding tears trailing down her cheeks.

It wasn't fair!

But Leto was coming for her, and Romulus held a hand out for her as the other woman crouched beside her, clutching at her arm as she tried to pull herself up only to sag against her as the world tilted and everything went black again.

"I don't think I can..." She almost choked on the words. Loathed to feel this weak and helpless. That damn knight, he'd stripped her down and laid her bare and Romulus had never felt so ******** low. This was her rock bottom.

She wanted to tell Leto to turn around and kill him, that he needed to die more than she needed help, but she couldn't get the words out. As much as she believed them to be true, what she really wanted most in that moment was to feel safe again. To be away from the feel of his aura pressing down on her. The sweet oblivion of painkillers to whisk her away from this pain and this awful feeling. Escape.

He had to kill her. The other girl was useless and unable to move. A dead weight that would slow Leto down, and Leto was at a disadvantage tending to her, but his vision was wavering and his lungs hurt from trying to regain his breath. It had been such a small attack but he had been riding adrenaline since his fight with the other woman.

The grass was impossible to see through, making it harder for him to locate them. With his already dim vision, Leto could take him down and end it there. There had been rage in her eyes. Murderous intent and hot blood wishing for a barbaric release. Primal as her sphere which hid her true intentions and wants.

Coughing, he tried to summon his weapon again, the weight of it nearly tipping him over.
