Kail would sit in her office. She was told by most standards that her office was a reptile paradise. That made her happy, because that was what she asked for her precious snakes. She cared little for esthetics, as she was unable to see. Her office was made for function rather than looking nice.
She was waiting on a student to come by, as she needed a teacher's assistant. While she could run a class well with certain tools, she was incapable of making sure that people were in class, and if they were paying attention. That is why she needed an assistant. She was ready for the new helper of hers, she just hoped they weren't afraid of snakes.

It seemed academics were right around the corner, and upholding the Lioncourt name, Yui would volunteer for far more than she needed to. It seemed that the class she was particularly interested in required a teacher's aide. Perhaps it was to uphold her family name in academics, or simply the good samaritan deep inside that drove her to step out and volunteer. Today was their appointment, and the first time she had the opportunity to meet Professor Schuer. Being new to the academy herself, Yui hadn't acquired much knowledge on any of the faculty. Instead, merely rumors and mistells through the grapevine that wasn't the student body. They had the elegant avian headmaster. The aggressive and bigmouthed survival teacher. The egyptian god knockoff of a studies teacher. The markswoman weapon teacher. Then, lastly... The aura and semblance teacher that may have had a fondness for reptiles. Each teacher was littered with rumors. Much like the one that Rachel, the combat teacher, would eat disobedient students. However, every rumor was taken with a grain of salt until she witnessed first hand.
Fearing that she would be late, Yui would hastily walk through the walls until she reached the room number that was titled to be the professor's personal office. She'd reassess herself with a soft, quiet deep breath. Trying to regain her composure after such a hasty arrival. With a knock, she'd announce herself. "Permission to enter, Professor Schuer." Her voice was firm in the announcement, before releasing the sucked in air and turning the nob once she was permitted to enter. Posture proper, composure recollected; Yui would stride in with elegance. However, awe quickly struct her at the sight of the wondrous design of the room. It was as if this particular section of the academy was reclaimed by nature, with wildlife to match. Slowly stepping forward, Yui couldn't help but comment in a low tone. "How stunning.." Even in the simpler design, Yui couldn't help but be impressed by the atmosphere. After a few steps, Yui found the grounds to reclaim her composure and turning her attention towards the woman. Her eyes were .. Rather unique. Resembling the striking gaze of many reptilians. Such eyes may cause unease in some, but Yui found herself unphased by the presence, but more so the onward gaze. It was as if she was being stared right through.
Kail stared content in her chair. She heard foot steps come into the room, after someone had asked if it was ok to enter. She would flick out her tongue several times. Cinders and Vanilla. She would have to remember this for later. She grabbed her cane and unfolded it. She would then stand up, her pink and green kimono moving along with her. The Cane was mostly red, with a white tip. She would sweep it back and forth, moving towards the sound. Two steps to the right would bypass the tree seemingly in the middle of the room. Three steps and she would be near one of the tanks. She would get close, but not before hitting something that shouldn't be there. She had to assume it was the student.
"Hello, you must be Missssss Lioncourt." Her S's would be longer, almost in a hiss kind of way. Her voice was gentle though. "Welcome to my officccce, I have heard it issss ssssstunning, but all that matterssss isss that my ssssnakessss are able to thrive." She would smile towards the girl, but for all she knew she was not facing the student at all. "Pleasssse, make yourself at home. We have much to disssscusss." She then would look as if she was counting the steps to get back to her desk, using the cane to facilitate around anything that had changed.
[[OOC: The hit is more of a bump with the cane. It doesn't do damage, but it's probably a sign of something. ]]
How peculiar. The way the woman walked appeared to be much more sequenced than normal. It appeared as if she was following a set pattern through her office. There was something one didn't see every day, a red cane that repeatedly tapped along the way. .. "Oh, my apologies." Yui said, stepping back from the woman as the cane tapped against her. She feared for a moment that she was in the way, while thoughts began to click into place. Sequenced walking, red cane, thousand yard stare. .. It was all coming together. However, before she could draw her conclusion, the woman spoke.
It seemed that her reptilian trait had impacted her more than visually. The hiss oddly resonated with the gentleness in her voice. Something that spoke volumes about judging a book by its cover. To the teacher's own smile, Yui couldn't help but smile herself. She seemed nice. "You are correct. You must be Professor Schuer. It is a pleasure to meet you." With a near proper introduction, Yui would flick her wings and lower herself into a formal bow. It seemed in cases such as Garret that bows were an acceptable form of introduction, but the noble aspect of it seemed to drift from the enclosed society she knew so well. Such odd formalities made her stand out even more from the current student body. But, it wouldn't waver easily. She'd then rise up to stand straight. Her wings settling into place as she took her stance. Though, Kail's expression was un-wavered at the display. In fact, she was looking straight past her. Never once shifting her gaze as Yui repositioned herself. A tad bit unnerving. Then, nodded in agreement. "I have no doubts that they're thriving well in this environment. It feels that even the temperature is regulated to be quite comforting." Surely such a touch would be added for the cold-blooded reptilians. It was nice and cozy. "Indeed." She appreciated that Kail wanted to get straight to the point. With a nod, she would follow Kail to match her pace towards her desk and attempt to find a chair that she could settle into. "Thank you for taking the time to meet with me. I hope the position has yet to be filled. She'd pause. There was always the potential of this being much like a job interview, and she was just one of several people she had already met or planned to meet with for the position. "I was hoping to learn more about what you may need my assistance for."
Kail would find her chair, and she would tap it, making sure it was faced the correct way, so she didn't fall again. She would gently sit in the chair. "Oh, yesss, I am Professsssor Ssschuer. I forgot to introduccce mysssself." She was a little forgetful when it came to thing like this. She would make a clicking sound, signaling for one of her snakes to come to her. While she waited, she would look at the student.
"The Posstion has yet to be filled, asss mossst are unwilling to work wwwith me and my sssnakes." She would hear one starting to sliver towards her, based on the size it was Bowie, her Boa constrictor. "You sssee, I am without sssight. I wassss born thissss way, but I was able to become a Huntresssss none the lesssss." She would hear the snake approaching from the back, they were ambush hunters after all. "While it doessss not hinder me in hunting, it doessss come with ssssome, isssssuessss when teaching." Bowie, her green Boa constrictor would come from the back of the chair, looking at the new person, her tongue flicking back and forth. "My ssssemblence can allow me to ssssee heat signatures, but it does not allow me to ssssee things such as people holding non-heated items, or to ssssee what is on paper. My assssisssstant needs to be ready to help me in thessse areasss."
She then would pat Bowie's head. "This is Bowie the Boa Consssstrictor. Yessss, sssshe is a very big ssssnake, but nearly harmlessss unlesss sssssomeone threatens me or my well being." Yui would see a 13ft long Boa constrictor, with wounds all over it's body. It would even have a visible aura to it.
The sequence continued as she took her seat once again, cane tapping and all. Following her motion, Yui would take the seat immediately across from her and allow herself and her wings to rest comfortably while keeping a straight posture. It appeared that this position was much harder to fill than Yui had anticipated, which may have actually been a favorable aspect. What little of a smile she had faded. "That is most unfortunate.. I'm sorry to hear it's been such a difficulty." Snakes were a natural and common fear for most, so it only made sense. Perhaps she had her mother to thank for forcibly breaking her of the phobia norms... An important matter, for sure, but not as important as the fact that Kail had just confirmed. Yui's impression of Kail had risen at quite a staggering rate as she confirmed that she was in fact visually impaired, but was also the blind huntswoman that Beacon had employed. In fact, she was impressed. "You've overcome so much to become a huntress... You're truly an inspiring role model." It was truly astonishing to see individuals overcome incredible disabilities to become just as effective, but all the more inspiring to others. She'd now wonder, were there others like that at Beacon? Whether already graduated, or aspiring students?
"Ah, I see.." It became quite clear to Yui that it wasn't a simple task of handing out papers, helping direct the class or assisting in lessons. It was actually aiding her in countless aspects that were impossible to do herself. Her attention then drifted to the reptile as the snake slithered up the back of Kail's chair, her eyes would simply follow it's bobbing head with a paced tongue flick. The creature was quite large and riddled with scars but seemed to have a softer nature as the woman seemed to pet it like any other animal. The name was fitting, even if it was borderline a pun that may have gone over Yui's head. She even noticed traces of aura rippling over its scales. "Despite her .. Intimidating appearance, she seems.. Quite gentle. " At first have to swallow the knot in her throat, remembering to breathe. She didn't quite expect to see such a large creature and truly, it was intimidating at first. But, Yui's smile would begin to drift in and return to her lips. This was the closest she had ever been to a snake, and more so found herself in awe at the creature rather than fearing it. Further noting just how extensive the wounds were as if there was nothing that she wouldn't endure for her master. "She must care a great deal about you... The marks on her scales tell quite a story... It's a pleasure, Bowie." A gentle giant it seemed, and one that would surely continue to bring a smile to Yui's face on their many encounters. "Do you have any other companions I'll get to meet?" Perhaps she misheard with all the hisses, but she was certain that Kail had said sssnakes and not sssnake.
Her smile would drift once again as her expression shifted to a more serious tone. A matter of the class, and her own interpretation of it. "Essentially, I'm to act as an additional pair of eyes to fill in what your semblance cannot detect. I assume quality communication and interpretation of instructions is of the utmost importance." How Yui saw it, the two of them together were going to create a larger, more capable and overall functioning unit together to lead the class. That was surely something within her capability, so long as instructions were clear in what she needed to do. She could do with some loose ends she'd have to fill herself, but to measure up to the exact needs there needed to be a strong communication. Perhaps she was taking it a bit too seriously, but Yui thought of herself to be a good fit for her needs. "I believe I'm up to the task. I just need more insight of what will be expected of me during the lesson plan."
Kail would nod. She knew how hard it was growing up in this kind of world. It was harsh for those that were disabled, but if you were able to adapt, then you would be able to thrive. That is what she did. She used her snakes as a normal person would use a guide dog. She loved her snakes, as they were were not only living things, but they were her weapons against Grim. "There have been ssssome difficultiesss, but if you put your mind to sssomething, then you mussst sssucced."
She then asked if she had any other snakes in the room. She did, and she loved finding them. "Oh, yesss, there are 2 othersss. Feliccca, and Marcussss. They are much sssmaller ssssnakesss, but they are equally as deadly." She would smile talking about her snakes, she had taken care to trying to find them, and to train them. They were particularly difficult to tame, but they were tame enough to bring to school.
She would then turn to this weeks lesson plan. "Ah, yesss, the dutiesss that I will have for you. Firssst, you will tell me if a ssstudent is passssing notessss. I have excellent hearing, and can normally tune into thingssss happening, however, if they are sssilent, I am unable to hear it." She would feel Bowie starting to curl up around her, giving her a loving squeeze. "I plan on informing each class that if they do not verbalize their responses, then they will not get credit for the answer. I must be able to underssstand them." She would pet Bowie a bit more. "As for the actual lesssson this week, I will need you to deal with more, visssable Ssssemblencessss. I have had a copy of the ssstudent lisssst, and their sssemblencesss made into brail, ssso I can read them. There issss a ssstudent with an illussssssion bassed one, that I will be unable to help with." She then shook her head a bit, her black hair going everywhere. "My lessson will be helping them learn to better their abilitiessss." She would wait for Yui to ask any other questions. [[OOC: ]]
Truly, those were words to take to heart. Yui was fortunate enough in this world to not be plagued with disabilities, but she could already see the radiating inspiration from the words of someone who worked through such hardships. Eyes began to dart around the room, glancing at the various crevices and shrubbery that could've been housing such dangers in the room. Apparently, there were two others, but much more akin to hiding due to their size. "I see.. I would be delighted to meet them, at some point." This assistantship she signed up for was sure to be an interesting experience. One she would have to tell her aunt of another time. Alas, it seemed that her eyes were not capable of capturing the hidden company that was surely lurking close by. "Bowie is a constrictor, correct? What of the other two? Felica and Marcus.." Bowie had size to add to her strength, though she wondered if the other two were venomous or not.
So far, the tasks at hand seemed rather simple. Yui was quite literally the eyes of the situation, being in charge of pointing out specific events such as note passing, silent answers, or any rude gestures that may have been present. "Understood, I will be diligent in identifying silent activities." As Kail continued to explain her plan of action, it seemed like a basic necessity. One couldn't exactly prove their credit if the teacher couldn't understand them, and it was likely impossible for Yui to relay every answer for a student. Especially since she herself was one. She found herself somewhat entranced by the interaction she was having with Bowie. The snake was all over here like an attention craving child. It was sweet. Her eyes would travel down to the list at hand, a collection of dots that held such information in simple texture. "Fascinating... This is the first time I've ever seen brail, I've only heard about it from my mother." A written language for the visually impaired. It was simply remarkable.
Now though, came a more important task. "Illusions would be a difficult concept to grasp... So I'll be relaying collected information to you to better help the student?" Actually, if it was a visual aspect... How would one who could see even attempt to explain that to someone who is unable? All the details she could explain, they wouldn't hold the same meaning... That's where it would get a bit difficult. "Are there any other semblances that I'll act as an envoy for? " Was it only the one illusionist or multiple sight based on complex semblances? .. Actually, in the concept of seeing semblances, it occurred to Yui that Kail might be able to see hers in vivid detail. "Curious. If you have a list of our semblances, that means you're aware of mine. Correct? I wonder... Based on your heat vision, I have reason to believe you'd be able to see mine quite clearly... Would you like me to demonstrate?"She wanted to ask first. Surely it would've been rude to create a blazing weapon right before her professor without at least conveying the idea of it.
Kail's face would animate when she was asked about her snakes. She loved talking about them. "Yessss Bowie and I are both Boa Constrictorssss, though sssshe is much bigger than I am." She would then pause. "Oh, that wasss kind of weird to pull out of nowhere. You can quessss by my tongue, I am a sssnake faunusss. However, through trail and error, I found out that I am a Boa Constrctor." She would smile, her tongue flicking out a bit. Marussss is a Micrurusssss fulviusssss, commonly known as a Coral snake, or an False Cobra. He belongs to the Cobra family, but he lackssss the hood of a Cobra. Feliccca is a very rare snake, known as a Fea's Viper. Her bite makes it so that it is very painful, as your muscles spasm, and swell to proportions that are not healthy.
She was then commented on the brail that she had in the room. "You are more than welcome to feel it for yourself. Learning is just learning where the bumpssss are. She would smile. She remembered learning brail for the first time, how it opened so many adventures to her, and made her want to find more snakes. She loved the fact that even though she couldn't see, she would be able to read.
They would then start to talk about the lesson plan itself. "I am mostly teaching how to extend the length of Semblences, by pushing people past their maximum, so they may become stronger. For the student with Illusions, I just need you to inform me when they are sssstarting and ending, or if it becomes large enough to encompasssss the room. Sssssemblencessss emerge in many different ways. For exxxxample. Kail would bring her aura out, and on her face, green marks that seemed to embed themselves into her face would appear. She would then be able to see Yui's heat signatures for the first time. "Thissss issss the firssst ssstage of my Ssssemblencccce. However She would close her eyes again, and from below her, a tail made out of green aura would appear around her waist, enveloping her legs, and making a tail that made her combined height over 15 ft. She would then slither towards Yui, finally able to see the outlines of her wings. "Oh, you are a type of avian faunussss, lovely!"
She then realized that she had interrupted her own speech. "Thisss issss how my own sssemblence has manifested itself. She then would look at the outline of Yui, able to finally see somewhat of her face. "I would love to see your Ssssemblencccce!" Kail would state. She loved being able to see how others used their aura, even if she couldn't physically see it. Aura was felt by all.

XXXIt was entertaining, watching the professor become even more lively at the topic of her snakes. Yui would take a moment to lean back in the chair, relaxing to a comfortable state as Kail would begin to ramble on about her snakes. " I'm sure you were able to learn a lot from Bowie, being of the same species." ... With the mention of trial and error, it reminded Yui that she wasn't quite sure what her Avian species was. The Lioncourt seemed to have a unique variety of avians, but they all had white wings. .. Perhaps Garret's previous assessment was correct. Maybe she was, in fact, a dove. With a flick of her tongue, she would continue on with her ramble about her unique variety of snakes that lurked around ... Somewhere. Before this moment, Yui's knowledge of snakes was very minimal. Simple details for identifying a venomous snake, such as the pupils and shape of the head. That was it. In this position, Yui was simply acting as a sponge to soak up all the details Kail had to give. A desire to learn burned deep within her heart. So whenever the chance came to educate her, she would simply sit and listen. "Fascinating... The differences are astounding... Though despite their deadly nature, they're well enough to be at the Academy?" It was a difficult concept for her to wrap her head around, but it wasn't an impossible task. Memory drifted to her distant cousin, Tier, who she was told a master of beast taming. Perhaps it was a similar concept here. "I wonder when I'll get the pleasure to .. Meet them."
With Kail's permission, Yui would lean forward to graze her fingers against the bumps. The concept was intriguing, being able to read through simple textures instead of sight. It without a doubt was like learning another language, as she had no idea what any of these bumps could mean without a little guide ... But that was cheating since she could just read it. "Is it time-consuming to read in such a manner? I feel like simply touching it at the wrong angle would change it's meaning entirely." One's sense of touch would have to be finely tuned to understand such a language... Simple shapes and dots. As she continued to graze the dots in fascination, Kail would continue to discuss the lesson plan. The process seemed simple but effective. Exerting one's self to such a degree was sure to cause all around improvement, but they'd have to be careful to not push too far... Much like her own semblance, having the ability to magnify itself at the cost of horribly burning herself. IT was a double-edged sword. Perhaps this class could help her maintain better control. "I can certainly do that for them, as well as any others that may need it." The task itself seemed relatively simple. Just act as a pair of eyes, as much of this job seemed to be.
Yui's head would tilt as she noticed the green aura radiate, seeping into her face as marks began to detail the professor's expression. Now, more so than their entire time talking, she could feel Kail focus on her. Was this due to the heat seeing nature she had mentioned prior? That was the only conclusion she could draw before any sense of logic was tossed to the wind with the sudden transformation of her professor. Her eyes would strain and widen as the large, aura infused tail would begin to stretch across the floor and Kail's own mass would drastically increase. Logic and reason would vanish without a trait, as she was only able to compare such a sight to the storybooks that her brother and father use to read to her. Stories of nagas and gorgons flooded her thought pattern as her wings would expand, her foot pushing her chair back to create a brief distance as she struggled to comprehend. 'Nagas often hold an association with water and could be feared with their direct connection to the nature around them. Best to avoid in the natural habitat of lakes and rivers. Class B threat; remove self from any nearby water and create a distance. ' Her mind continued to race, grasping at straws that seemed to blur the lines between myth and reality. 'Gorgons are often malevolent creatures that are terrifying in both appearance and nature. Venomous snakes in place of hair, and the ability to gaze upon someone and turn them into stone. Native to land, they are highly dangerous and should be avoided at all costs. Class A threat, do not approach.' However, if she truly was a Gorgon... It would've been far too late to disengage from the situation. By the time her wings would flick in response, Kail was already upon her... Looking at her with excitement, rather than malicious intent.
"Avian..." She blinked for a few moments before she realised that her body had not been petrified in that very instance. ... Perhaps she was too hardwired to see every situation as a combat opportunity. "That.. That's right. ... Interestingly enough, despite what the "Lioncourt" name sounds like, we have a family lineage of varying white wings..." Yui took a moment to breathe and ease back to a state of relative comfort. Her heart had begun beating with adrenaline at the imaginary scenario she had created so rapidly. Which frankly, was exhausting. "Your semblance... The change in physiology ... Was actually quite startling, I did not expect it. " Her heartbeat began to calm, easing to a steady pulse as she looked up to her professor with a concerned curiosity. "I apologize if this is rude, but ... Your semblance doesn't induce petrification, does it?" It was a curiosity that her mind had to settle. Witnessing something straight out of a fairytale was only going to cause her mind to race with distractions, and would make it all the harder to focus.
After they settled her poor heart, in whatever means, Yui would rise from her seat with the permission of Kail. Her heart was still beating at an accelerated rate, but the excitement of the moment had finally died down. She could focus properly, and therefore give a proper display of her semblance. Afraid of causing damage to any nearby would, or upsetting one of the reptiles that were present, she would take several steps away from the desk and her teacher. "As I'm sure you read... My semblance is an extension of fire manipulation." Following her words, her semblance would trigger. Blue flames would spark and erupt from her, before disappearing in an array of embers. They were hot, so there was a high possibility that Kail would get a vivid imagery in her heat sense once the air cooled around the embers. Following the burst, the embers would dance around her and drift to her extended left arm. Compressing and igniting, the embers would meld together to create a vibrant blue bow that was composed of blazing embers. Following the creation, additional embers would dance around her and take a variety of other shapes. A shield forming on her left forearm, a rapier forming in her right hand. All before dissolving and taking the shape of a set of firearms, then melding together to create a greatsword that one of her sizes wouldn't normally be able to wield. However, given its construction of elements, it was much lighter than it normally would be. "The primary function of my semblance is to grant an arsenal of weapons at my disposal. It functions symbiotically with my weapon, which can store them for later use." The embers continued to dance around, shaping the bow once again before the embers that constructed it dissolved and transferred to the thumb on her left hand. The metal clasp would radiate with heat as blue lights began to glow on it. After which, Yui would create a simple shortsword with the remaining embers to keep as an active example.

Kail would smile, as she was able to see the heat and the weapon she was now wielding. She was able to see it, but she would even be able to see it with her Semblence activated. Metal had no heat signature on it's own, so it always was a lighter color in the infrared vision. "Quite an interesting ssssemblenccce." She would go around the sword to see it itself was fire, or just made of fire, but with the burnt taste of the air, it was hard.
"As for my sssnakesss, all of them will be in classss. Your reaction sssshowed that I sssshould perhapsss not do this to mysssself. She would back off a bit. She loved having a tail, it made her feel more in tune with nature. She would look to her books, she was asking if it was time consuming to read this way. "It doessss depend on having good movement, I can't compare it to normal reading, however, without it, I would not have been able to become a huntressssss. I was slow at first, however, I am relatively fasssst now." She would then look around. She was finally ready to answer the previous question about her Semblence.
Her voice would go up, almost in excitement. "That's the thing about Ssssemblencessss, ssssinccce they are apart of our ssssoulssss, exxxxpirencccce sssshapes them! Currently I can't petrify ssssomeone, however, I don't know if I can in the future! I am sssstill growing as a persssson!" She seemed very happy about this fact. That was the truth though, your Semblence grows with you as you grow as a person. "That'sss the point of my Classsss thisss week, disssscovery!"

XXXYui had calmed down significantly since Kail's initial transformation and was no longer phased as she approached in a slither. Her mind had just run rampant for a moment, something her mother always disciplined her on... As her teacher approached, she would hold the blazing weapon towards her. It was constructed of blazing embers and held the durability of any other weapon. It's just clear that it itself wasn't solid, and would dissolve and reshape with her dismissal. The short sword would shift back into a rapier, before dissolving to her right thumb. Likewise, a shield would form before dissolving to her left index. It had been a while since she got to refill her arsenal, so... Now was a better time than any. Now the blue embers just seemed to dance around her. The quantity had dropped severely, but they still awaited the command of their master. "Thank you. It holds immeasurable value in terms of utility, but I'm incredibly sensitive to blazing dust... It's like trying to hook up a car battery to a scroll. It'll get a surge of energy, but then burn out... My mother referred to it as a risk for reward factor. Though she's disappointed in how little progress I've made with it..." To uphold Lioncourt tradition, she was supposed to master what was unstable. Perhaps this class could be her first stepping stone. On her own, progress was slow and painful.
"I'm happy to hear it worked out that way." Though her head was beginning to head in shame for her prior reaction, she was genuinely happy that the opportunity had presented itself to her teacher. It was a workaround for a cruel fate, and if it wasn't for the braille, she may have never met the reptilian woman. I'd be interested in trying to learn sometime. Though it may be unnecessary for me, I've always believed in broadening your horizons." After all, no one could be too prepared for the future. Learning various languages and means to communicate always prepared for the curves that life threw at her. ... At least, that's the mentality her mother had given her. It wasn't a terrible one, but she took it to extremes at times..
Though now she found herself in disagreement with Kail's statement about her own semblance. Shaking her head, she'd find herself lowering her head in a bowing position for forgiveness. "I apologize, my reaction wasn't called for ... Indeed it was surprising, but a miraculous display of what a semblance is capable of. I just have ... A very active mind. Something mother has been trying to break. But, it reminded me strongly of stories my father used to read for me. It was the first thing I thought of, in fact. A long forgotten memory." Memories like that didn't surface very often. Not once she started heavily training under her mother's influence. It was nice, for it reminded her of better times. Raising her head once more, she'd begin to admire the words of her teacher. She was right. Every day they were growing, and no one could say what their semblances would become. She'd even smile. "If it did come to that, I'd like to request not being turned to stone. I don't want to end up like the girl in my father's storybooks." Hopefully Kail would appreciate the joke she tried to use to make amends for her previous reaction. The excitement of her professor was even starting to rub off on her, feeling the hype of discoveries to be made. "I can't wait to see what's in store for us in class." Not just for herself, but the development of Kail and everyone else who would be attending. It made her all the more excited to be in the position she was in. Though thinking back to the trait she shared about her own semblance, she'd have to wonder something else in the lesson plan. "If I may. This week's class is about discovery, what week of class will dust be involved?" If memory served her properly, Kail's class also had a focus on dust that truly intrigued her. After all, that was the most unstable function of her semblance.

Kail would listen intently. Parts of her student's past was coming to light. Her mother sounded much like her family when they found out that Kail was blind. They said she would never amount to anything. They still believe her being a huntress was a mistake for someone like her. They hadn't even taught her how to read. She had to find her own help. People tried to put her down, and you couldn't do that. Her father sounded like the nicer one in the family, telling her stories and fueling her imagination. The way a parent should be.
Kail would listen further this time, seeing the shapes of the weapons that appeared. However, she was more worried about the girl in front of her. She chuckled a bit at the petrifying part, but she was still worried for the girl.
She would then go up to her, her tail going around her, with her arms wrapping around the girls neck. She would give a light, loving squeeze. "Yui, imagination isn't a bad thing. Having your mind wander letssss you think of possibilitiessss you never thought would happen. It preparessss you for a world ssssuch assss thisss. It allowsss you to think on your feet, instead of melting to the pressssure. Imagining makesss it sssso you are a better persssson. It allowsss you to look passst firssst impresssionssss, and it helpsss you form opinionsss." She would give a tight squeeze, not enough to harm the girl, but reasuring. "In my classsss, I want you to do what you think issss nessasssary. If you don't like sssssomething, don't do it. In my classss, you are yourssself, not the product of what your parentssss want or expect. You are the one putting your life at risssk, not them. Therefore, you dessserve your freedom. Ssso fly free like the bird that you are." She was trying to be comforting, and empowering. She didn't know if she hit the mark though. She would ignore the question about when dust class was going to happen, mostly because she felt like this was more important than what her academic lessons were, because this was a life lesson. "That'ssss one of the wayssss to grow as a perssson."
[[OOC: Semblence activated 3/5 posts I had permission for the hug. ]]
XXXYui hadn't thought much of the bits and pieces she was sharing so half-heartedly. Slowly but surely, details of the methods of the Lioncourt family began to spill out... As if a clear cry for help. In Yui's internal world, she had long been conditioned to see the methods of her mother to be normal. She had a family tradition to uphold; one that her mother wouldn't let her escape from so easily, despite her aunt's efforts. Bits and pieces continued to slip, slowly pushing at the concept that her mother was working to break her individuality. It was why she had such a hard time trying to understand the light-hearted mood of everything. Everything was taken so seriously because emotion was a sign of weakness that her mother worked to break from her active mind.
As much as she tried, she was still disengaged from reality. Thus, she couldn't quite comprehend the actions taking place. Kail had approached her far closer than before, breaking any trace of a personal bubble she had as her tail began to coil around her. "P-Professor Schuer, what.. What are you doing?" Panic would begin to return to her. Had she done something to upset the naga woman? Was she right, and Kail was a Class A or B threat? Perhaps constriction was a fitting end, for letting her guard down so carelessly. That didn't stop her heart from picking up. Faster and faster, before the reality had set in... She wasn't being crushed. No, instead, she felt the weight of her teacher against her as her arms coiled around her neck. There was pressure, but it wasn't bone crushing. ... No. A simple squeeze, much like... Much like her brother would. "I'm sorry... Professor... I... I don't understand." There was something about the action, the squeeze... The embrace. Something that eased the panic as quickly as it came, replacing it only with confusion and a variety of emotions she... Just didn't understand. The embers that danced around them grew dim, before snuffing themselves out as her semblance ended.
That's when she spoke. Among the hisses and dragged out s', she began to sound a string of words that would seem to pluck at her very being. Words of motivation... Words of understanding and inspiration... It was so hard for Yui to try and comprehend, after having her mother so deeply implant the Lioncourt tradition in her young, developing mind. "No.. but... The Lioncourt's are not meant to have individuality. ... It... Why did these words strike her so deeply? Her mind had only gotten her in trouble, her thoughts and daydreams bringing the wrath of her mother down... The one who tried so hard to correct her. "It gets in the way of progression .... We are ... we.." The embrace was getting to her, she was beginning to choke on her words. It became so hard to breathe, but not because of the constriction. No... Kail's brace was gentle, comforting. It was Yui who was breaking under the weight of her own aching heart. "We are... only molded into ... into.. an ideal imagery of huntsmen .... an icon ..." Memories would flood of the last time her brother embraced her. One of the last times she saw him before his passing. Despite all her mother did to break him, he always tried his best to keep her from it. "We grow... to live as a... a.. statement..." He had told her that she had a beautiful mind, and to never let their mother change it. That was all he wanted, despite the clear defiance of their mother's wishes. "Or.. or die... as a trophy..." That is the purpose of the Lioncourt family. But that very purpose clashed and burned against her soul, she wanted so desperately to fight against it. Her arms had moved absentmindedly to drape around the woman who embraced her. Her head easing against her, as a glistening tear began to trickle down her cheek and soak into Kail's shirt. "You... sound just like... just like him... Sensui..." The pain became unbearable. More and more, burning tears would continue to roll. One even caught on her scar, but all would eventually tread her cheek only to seep into the woman's kimono. "You sound... so much like my brother... why..." Her brother had matching ideology. He believed that Yui should've been free from the mind-numbing traditions of her family, and should live freely. Just as Kail had been doing now, where Yui's emotions began running rampant. "Why... is it so hard... to understand.." What were they even talking about before? Everything had made a complete 180, and she couldn't comprehend it anymore... "Professor... It hurts..." Not the hug. No no, in fact... It was the most comforting thing she had felt in such a long time. It was her heart that ached, feeling so impossible to grasp the concept of her 'freedom to choose.' It only strained her, for she had so far to go.
