People normally didn't think of dates as patrolling the city looking for trouble, if there was any trouble out there to be had, most people thought of movies and time spent cuddling and other such s**t. Keely wasn't the average female, something she was rather proud of, and so she had asked Derrick out to go on a late night patrol with her as a date. They could end it with a movie, and spend the rest of the night together, but a patrol was always good...so was fighting a youma or even a negaverse agent.
She wasn't the best in a fight, she knew that, but that wasn't something which would keep her from jumping right into a fight. She sort of had a thing where adrenaline rushes were great...and she'd sort of do almost anything for one, something Derrick knew by now.
Tonight was a night where she was looking to have a bit of a rush, she'd had a long work week and today had been a ten hour shift and she was in need of something to let off steam and enjoy at the same time.
Having texted him about meeting her earlier, an hour ago when she'd gotten off work, she had mentioned meeting at the park where they could power up together. It was safer to power up together, just in case anything was out there that was stronger than they individually were. "I should make time to see my wonder...." Tapping one sneaker covered foot as she spoke to herself, he should be arriving soon. Maybe she should invite her boyfriend with her when she went for the first time? She hadn't any idea what to expect so it might be a nice idea...

Derrick had only just managed to rush away from work, and unfortunately it had made him late for his date with Keely. He had been tapping his foot, waiting for the clock to slowly show him that he was finally off of his shift, but it had gone on for what seemed like forever. So now he was making up for it by rushing to the park where he would be meeting with Keely. I wonder if I should tell her tonight... He thought to himself as he used his athletic abilities to parkour his way over to her. He jumped, sprinted, twisted, whatever he needed to do to make it over there faster. Unfortunately, even with their last conversation they had still managed to barely see each other over the summer, and it was so close to Fall already. Derrick had been annoyed at himself for not initiating more things, but as of late he had mostly been tired, suffering from the nightmares that were invading his dreams, telling him that it would soon be time... Finally he was at the park and continued to move until he finally saw Key and ran up to her, only stopping when he was close enough to talk to her. "Key." He said, nodding his head and panting from the exertion. "Sorry I took so long. Work seemed to go on forever and I rushed here as soon as I could."

Ok, so he was running a bit late. That honestly didn't bother her, she was known to be late for things herself. It was when she saw him, seemingly uninjured though out of breath, that she was smiling and resting a hand on his shoulder. "It's ok, though it seems you really did try and get here as fast as you could. You look like a sit down would be good for you." Already looking to move him to where he could sit and rest. "Work does tend to do that - make us late for things." It was an unfortunate part of life - needing a job. If she didn't need one, and could still live comfortably like she did now, she would jump on the chance. She'd be able to do more of the things she wanted to that way, and who didn't want to have more fun in their life?
"As much as I like summer...this heatwave lately has been too much even for me. it's made doing anything more difficult." As most of the time was spent sweating and needing to drink more and more water, and other hydrating drinks, because of the amount of water lost from doing anything outside. "I had hoped the summer would be a bit kinder than it was..." But she'd been a bit too busy with work and other things to get out too much. Though when she did it was with a water bottle in hand, one she could constantly refill, and the time was spent with water sports.
"What have you been up to? Aside from work?" Running her fingers through his hair, he really had pushed it to get here when he had and not a bit later.

Derrick was a bit too tired to argue about whether or not he was so tired that he needed a bit of a rest, that he let Key guide him to a nearby rock and he sat down, trying to catch his breath a bit more. "Would have... been much later if... I was out of shape." He replied, still trying to get his heart rate slowed down a bit. He took in a deep breath and then let it out. "Yeah, same here. The weather just keeps getting warmer and even if I like it better than the cold, it still gets to a point where I just want to stay inside all day." Maybe not under an air conditioning, but being at 75 degrees inside was preferable to being at 102 degrees outside. He let her run her fingers through his hair for a bit. He liked the feeling of it. No wonder cats and dogs liked to be pet. He had flinched at her question though and turned away, thinking if he should really reveal to her what was bothering him. I guess it's now or whenever it actually happens. He thought to himself and looked at her. "Key... I-" How should he even start it? "There's something you have to know about my moon." He had been avoiding going to his moon, but his nightmares told him that the next time he did go back, that the... thing would finally be released. It seemed to be growing in power all the time. "Look it's just, there's a monster on my moon that my past life sealed away there and the seal is almost broken on it. I've been having nightmares and I've been avoiding the moon." Maybe it was too much right now? He decided to go with it anyway. "My past self didn't survive after going up against it. And I just wanted you to know in case something does happen." He would have added 'and I might not come back' but didn't want to tell her too much and worry her. Well, it was probably too late for that now, but he had to get it off his chest at least. "I'm sorry for taking so long to tell you. I should have told you earlier but I wanted to just enjoy the two of us being together..."

"That's true....but then that would mean you didn't enjoy the same activities as I do." Which would mean less in common, if anything in common, and well...they wouldn't be together now would they? She really didn't want someone out of shape...she wanted, really needed, someone who could keep up with her and enjoyed the same, or similar, activities.
"I couldn't picture you out of shame - thankfully." It was good for both of them, she hoped anyway. Continuing to run her fingers through his hair she leaned in to press a kiss to his lips. ""Is something wrong with your moon?" It wasn't something they talked about, wonders and moons and space, it was there though. Being that one of them was a senshi and the other a knight. It was something hanging in the background, a part of their lives, but it wasn't a part they talked about, even when discussing their powered lives.
"And you think it's still alive?" It's been a long time..." How long she hadn't a clue but she knew it had been a long time. It had been a long time for them all, hadn't it? "You'll make it back if you go to your moon - I know it." Another kiss, this one seeking to comfort him. "And I know that because I'll go with you if you want. Between the two of us you'll make it back, and so will I." Ruffling his hair now, smiling at him.
"Next time don't hold back on something like this. It's important, especially if it's worrying you. To be honest I've never gone to my wonder. In part because it's not a part of me now but I also don't know what to expect, aside from cold." Lots of cold, she was sure of that, and she didn't much like the cold. She couldn't picture willingly going someplace cold, unless it was to snowboard or partake in some other winter activity that was extreme in some way.

He nodded, accepting her kisses and releasing a sigh when they were done. "It definitely is. I'm not sure about it, but I don't think my seals in the past actually killed anything, more like left what it sealed in the same state I sealed it in. I'm not sure what that means though, but from the pictures I've seen in the books I've discovered, that could mean other places have their own problems sealed up too. Not as bad as the one on my moon, but they could be crawling out of the woodwork the more people explore their objects and Wonders." It really was something to think about. If it were truly the case however, then that would mean he had a lot more to do as the Senshi of Sealing. He gave her a small smile. "Thank you. I'm hoping that I can launch a distress call or something so that anyone who wants to help will be able to get there when the time comes, but I don't expect a ton of others, especially strangers, to come and risk their lives just for me. It really is my problem." He had been the one to seal it there. His people had been unable to destroy it, and even though he was now only a reincarnation, it meant he was the last of his people, and he had a duty to stop it. "I... I won't. I promise I won't. I should have told you earlier and I guess that's just because we've barely been seeing each other, that I haven't been telling you the important things. I will tell you though. I trust you and if you have anything you need to tell me, then I want to hear it too." He couldn't help but laugh a little at her Wonder being cold. "Well maybe I can visit your Wonder with you? Who knows, maybe if it's a good area, we could learn to snow board or something and then we could use your Wonder as our own personal resort." That would be nice, though he thought that the both of them would probably have preferred a warmer place to build a beach house or something. "Though I'm sure whatever your Wonder is, it will be great."
He hugged her as she was close enough, and then let some room get between them. "I feel a lot better thanks to you. If you want we can continue to talk here or we can start our patrol now. Whichever you prefer."

"So then...still alive. But a lot of time has passed...so things may be dead by now - long dead?" She questioned. It was a possibility, something she figured was highly probable, and she was hoping this would be the case. Whatever was sealed on his home planet she hoped was dead and no danger to them - to him. "Or do you think your seals would have kept them alive as well? keeping them in that living state even if they should have died?" To be denied death...to live trapped for so long....what a horrible way to exist, because that wasn't living. She was one who liked to do things, a lot of things, and the idea of being trapped and confined was a horror to her.
"I hope whatever it was...was granted the peace of death...." She whispered, hoping her understood her feelings. She thought he might though, knew her well enough. It wasn't because she cared for whatever it was, she didn't know what it was or how dangerous it was. But because freedom was important to her...to be able to venture out and explore and do things - exciting things.
"You'd be surprised...I'm sure some will come to help - some strangers. But I'll go up with you - no need to call for my help." She'd already be there at his side. She wasn't going to let him go up all on his own, not a chance in hell.
"I'm hoping it is....I like the idea of a personal resort - that would be nice. It would make it worth it....we could make it a vacation home of sorts...that and your moon." A place for them and just them, at least for now. Maybe one day, one reincarnation later, there would be people on their home worlds other than their reincarnated selves. It would be nice then. For now though vacation spots for them would be nice, and welcome, even if it was cold. "If we can't snowboard at my wonder we might be able to find a place around it - we can hope, right?" Laughing, her fingers ruffling the others darker hair.
"Mmm, lets walk and talk. Mmm, you don't mind if after this I crash at your place? Maybe a movie before bed or something? I have tomorrow off and normally I'd watch a movie at home with a drink I'd rather just spend the night with you." It would make her night that much better.

Though they didn't use their powers on living things. Except it... So while I don't believe that the sealing would have killed it, I hope that it did die eventually." He couldn't let himself hope though. He had seen what was going on with the statue. If it had died, it either was leaking excessively as it decayed somehow, or it was leaking because it was escaping... He shook his head a bit, trying to get himself back into the present. "Thank you, that would be nice." And he meant it. Though if it were to become too dangerous he would make sure that she was sent back, but if he could get others to help, then that would be better. Perhaps with different powers, they could finally defeat whatever it was. "My moon might be quiet at least." Maybe with the monster defeated, he could finally start to rebuild it a little. He grinned at her suggestion though. "Sounds good. We can do a quick walk around, and then we can go to my apartment. Though I'm not sure if my physical selection is the greatest, but at least I have Netflix and others." He knew he needed to get more though. His collection was amazingly small. "Let's do this. Caliban Star Power, Make-Up!" He said as he held onto his pen. It was still weird. Why was it called a pen? But whatever, he powered up and waited for Key to do the same.

"I would think it would have died...eventually. Not from the sealing but age and lack of food or water." The most obvious things to cause something living to die, what she hoped had gotten to this thing. Whatever it was sounded bad...sounded like it needed to be dead, long dead, though she did hope it hadn't suffered.
"You know I won't let you do something dangerous alone." Or anything which was emotional for him, like this seemed to be in some way. "Might be quiet...is it not always silent?" She didn't know much about homeworld, or wonders, so anything she could learn was new and interesting. Eventually she'd go to her own wonder, and likely bring the other with her, she didn't like the idea of going alone, it would make it far more entertaining to bring someone with her. It would be best, in her opinion, to bring him with her...for obvious reasons.
"Netflix works. Maybe in the future I'll just start to get you more movies, ones they don't have on Netflix." Teasing gently, though also serious, she summoned up her own item so she could power up. It was different though...that she noticed. She didn't have much time to think on it though as she did power up - a squire. She wasn't a simple page anymore...well that was good. Different and unexpected but it was good - better than before.
"This is new." And she could live with this, especially the shorts she was sure she had on.

Caliban was eager for her to power up, but was surprised when she powered up and her uniform was different... a squire! He was surprised, his eyebrows lifting t the unexpected change, and staying there when Key barely reacted to it. "Seriously Ke-Gorner!" He couldn't be too sure that a Negaverse agent hadn't spotted him powering up, even though he didn't feel any of their signatures. "You're a squire now and that's all you can say about it?" Wasn't this supposed to be a somewhat big deal? He sighed. "At least it seems knight powers upgrade on their own. Every time I need an upgrade a Guardian Cat has to find me." He said, envious that knights had it so easy. Another thing that made them different... He shook his head. "You look good though. Better than my uniform at least." He still thought he looked silly. "At least patrolling will be a bit more fun and faster." They could get this over with quickly and then go back to his apartment... "Want to race a bit? We do a lap around and then we call it a night and go back to my place?" He said, grinning at her. He wasn't sure if the physical power of knights were faster than senshi, but at least he could try!

"It is, especially the shorts. You have no idea how glad I am for shorts." Even if they were hidden under the dress part. it was better than nothing like before. "I'll you be excited for me." Not that she wasn't excited, she was, but she certainly wasn't showing it like her partner was. "I'm glad for this, I can help you more." She could help him some more on his home planet, if need be, and she was glad for that. She wanted to be able to help him, along with whoever else he was able to bring, but it meant a lot that she could be better support.
"I don't think I've ever met a cat...so at least you've met one." Poking him in the side, a smile in place. "But I can see where that's a pain in the a**. I mean they don't seem that common...and then tracking one down." That seemed like a waste of time and energy, just to hunt down a cat. She wasn't sure how it all worked for senshi, just as he wasn't sure on knights things. She wasn't even sure on most knight things, she was sort of winging it all, but just the idea of needing a cat to help she saw as a hindrance.
"I think you're uniform is just fine - it works for you." He looked good in it really.
"A race...that sounds like a nice way to spend this patrol. Making a competition out of it works for me." It really did. She was certainly ready for this. "Ready?"

Caliban put his hand to his face. "Really Key..." But he couldn't help but smile. Key would be the one to care more about practicality than just the powering up. He went to her and hugged her and gave her a quick kiss. "I'll be excited for you then." He kept her in the hug though. "Yeah, the only time I've seen the cats is when they've come to me for my awakening and upgrade. Otherwise, they're nowhere to be found." He let go of her, and blushed at the compliment. "Thanks. Even if I still think it looks a bit silly." He couldn't help but grin like a little kid when she agreed to the race though. "Of course I am! I'll start the countdown then, and we go on well, go." He said, getting into position. He didn't know what he was more excited for, the race or what would happen afterwards... Sleet Tempest Snape ending here! Thanks for the rp!
