Kean looked outside, pouting when he saw that it was still raining. It was summer! The time when he was supposed to be playing outside as much as possible! Sure, they didn’t have a very long summer break, but he had taken full advantage of it when he did. And even if he was back in school and in classes again, he still took all the time that he could to be outside, without skipping class that is.

But now it was raining! That shouldn’t be allowed during the summer! Or at least on the weekends like this Sunday! What was he supposed to do in the meantime? Somehow, some way he had managed to stay on top of his studies this semester, so far, and so he didn’t even have boring homework to do! He could read, but all of the books that he really liked he had read already and didn’t want to read them for a bit.

He sighed, getting up to stretch, and was glad that he didn’t have a roommate with him. As extroverted as he was, he knew that a roommate wouldn’t be able to handle a messy room like his. He looked around the room a bit and sighed. “Guess I better clean this up.” He said to himself, moving over to his computer and starting some of his favorite toons to clean up to.

It took just over a couple of hours, but he finally had the room in decent enough shape. What he discovered was though that he needed to do laundry more often and the need for another laundry basket. But now that he had his dorm room all cleaned up, what else was he supposed to do? If there was one thing he didn’t like about being at university was that his parents had forbidden him to bring along any of his video game consoles that he had, which made a very boring day even more boring.

He glared at the window, almost as if he was threatening it silently that it had better stop raining soon. At that moment however, a bolt of lightning flashed, and it started to rain even harder. Kean groaned and flopped back onto his bed. He looked over at his current familiars, and they were all sound asleep, either oblivious or just not caring about the storm raging outside and Kean didn’t have the heart to wake them up from their slumber just because he couldn’t think of anything to do.

He slowly pulled himself back over to his computer, deciding that if he couldn’t nap, then he could at least watch some online videos and get sucked into some websites that would take a few hours to get out of. He didn’t really want to though, and even if calling his sister was an option, he knew that she would either be completely asleep or engrossed in some art project of hers that would keep her from answering the phone anyway. He shook his head. “Another boring day. I’d rather be in class than here.” Well, there was a first time for everything!
