There happened to be a comic shop that was rather receptive about being an official 'purchase and pick up' location for Anthemusa: The Convention tickets. Business wasn't terribly booming, in general with the age of the internet and purchasing things online, and any excuse to draw customers in was a bonus.
Today said shop had the benefit of having one of Argent Industries' employees sitting on their counter, casually flipping through the latest issue of Superman, while she swung her legs back and forth.
There was a boy, because all men were boys to her, who'd been wandering the shop that she was casually eyeing beneath her bright green fringe and when he happened to wander close enough, she shut the comic and slid off counter and plucked up one of the tickets she'd been instructed to give away.
"'scuse me."Amasis took some liberties for placement/assumption he might go to a comic shop, lmk if anything needs to be changed

Loren was actually at the comic shop to pick up the latest issues of some of his favourite storylines. He had a bit of spending money from the odd summer job or chore, and there was a new Batgirl issue calling his name. Titans Rebirth looked cool, too, and he'd just gotten caught up in Flash, so he could always start another one... Though something told him he was going to need a new bookcase soon if he kept it up. The one he already had was groaning under the weight of everything it was holding. Where would he put it, though? While he contemplated that, Loren browsed around to see what else was going on. He took a glance towards the other comics companies' sections, but told himself he had to wait. He wasn't going to start Spiderman until he'd at least caught up in Aquaman, especially since he'd probably be forced to get another bookcase at that point. He could probably use one bookcase, but then he'd be mixing DC and Marvel, and he already had part of one shelf taken up by Dark Horse. If he had much more mixing, it was going to drive him absolutely crazy, and-- "Oh, hello?" He blinked for a moment at the bright green hair who'd gotten his attention.

Slender fingers toyed with the singular ticket that she'd grabbed in one hand and the other lifted to press against her bottom lip. Vibrantly green eyes studied the boy, taking in the collection of things he was holding and what he was browsing.
She could just hand the ticket off and bounce, which sounded way more appealing than it should have, but that seemed so boring and Cass liked playing with her food when she could.
"That's a nice variety of things. Comics really big for you or something?"
It sounded like a stupid question, but she'd seen plenty of people wander in, look around, and wander back out.
"Who's your favorite?"

"I, uh, read them a lot. Been into them since I was a kid." He looked down at the comics in his hands, being careful to hold them in a way that wouldn't crease or bend them. Loren bought comics to read, not just collect, so he wasn't really worried about "mint condition" or whatever, but it seemed rude not to be careful with store merchandise before it was paid for. His favourite? "I like the Batman group the best? Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown are my favourite, especially during the Stephanie-as-Robin line and-" Ah, he was babbling. He cleared his throat.

Feigning interest was surprisingly harder than Cass expected considering she liked games, she likes superhero movies, but there was apparently something about comic books she didn't seem very interested in.
Maybe the movies had ruined the books for her, because DCU wasn't doing so hot but the guy they cast for Aquaman was pretty hot. Margot Robbie was too. And Gal Gadot. Unf.
Blinking a few times she returned her attention to the boy.
"Stephanie's the one that's blond with the purple suit yeah?" She asked, tapping her chin to think about what little she knew about the Bat-clan. She mostly knew fanart, because she didn't really read comics, but he didn't need to know that.
"Do you like video games and like youtube streams?"

Loren did notice her losing focus for a second, but was excited now, if he was honest. When she blinked and refocused on him, he was more than willing to answer her question. "Yep, that's her! She started as one of the Robins and became one of the Batgirls, though if you listen to some of the new comic story-lines, she was apparently never actually a Robin, which is why she doesn't get the memorial in the Batcave that the other Robins got." His tone of voice made it abundantly clear what he thought of that, and that what he thought was nothing favourable towards that particular executive story-line decision. Oh. Right. She, uh, probably didn't want a presentation on DC's abysmal sense of plot continuity... "Yeah, I like some of them. I keep some of the Let's Plays on for background noise, and I like playing otome games." For the sake of not going down a rabbit hole, Loren opted not to name any of them. He couldn't tell if she was asking because of genuine interest or politeness and knew it probably wasn't a good idea to just plow ahead in the conversation. People tended not to appreciate that... As tempting as it would be to babble for hours...

"I think I've seen her in the Robin outfit," she stated, not thinking too hard on if she had or not. And even if she had for absolutely sure, Cass might've written it off as wearing a boyfriend's clothing. Or brother's. She didn't know how the bat-family intermingled.
Outside of the first Batgirl and first Robin had been boning.
The topic shifted and Cass pursed her lips like she was contemplating some options. His response hadn't been quite what she'd been looking for BUT he still was a potential con-goer or potential Ally A fan if he liked what he saw at the convention and sometimes she gamed.
Her feeds on Twitch were shorter than her YouTube vids and were often limited to Pokemon Go, mobile games, or game requests from her subscribers.
Still...
"This company I work for, Argent Industries, is running a convention. You should check it out." She pulled a ticket from her back pocket and offered it to him between her index and middle finger. "I'm feeling generous and wanna give you a pair of freebies. Bring a date, or a friend, whatever, just come."

He was relieved when she responded to him with a bit about Stephanie as one of the Robins, but a bit apprehensive when she pursed her lips. That was usually a signal that he hadn't given the perhaps optimal response, the one she was hoping for. Was she into Let's Plays, too? When she presented Loren with a pair of tickets, it took him a moment to react due to being caught by surprise. She worked for Argent Industries? For a second, Loren was a bit embarrassed at his clumsy attempts to make conversation, to be friendly. He could certainly feel a bit of colour rising to his cheeks. It wasn't hard, given the lightness of his complexion. Embarrassment showed easily, on him. Hell, it being just a little warm outside showed easily on him... "Oh, uh, sure, thank you!" He hesitated a moment, then reached out for them. Loren debated who all he could bring with him. His sister, maybe? A friend from one of his classes? His sister liked games and all that, too, so she'd probably enjoy herself. But, then again, she was getting pretty far along in her pregnancy. Would she want to be walking around like that? Wouldn't her feet hurt after a while? Maybe he could offer to push her around in a wheelchair or something when her feet started hurting? He could probably call and ask her. If she said no, he could ask one of the classmates he was friendly with...

Her grin was back, a little wider this time before she pushed long locks of green back out of her eyes. "Yeah, yeah," she said, waving off his thanks, "just don't let them sit around and put 'em to use, kay?"
Cass tossed him a wink before she was rocking back on her heel and turning away.
"See you around Robin." She waggled fingers at him before she slipped out of the comic shop deciding that her job was done for the evening and that she'd go do something that didn't involve nerdy stuff for a bit.
